Ok guys, listen, I literally invented this game, so you can pretty much just follow me to victory. That being said I'll probably get killed off early so :/

Couple things:

First off, if you didn't get your first pick, claim what your first pick was. That only narrows your role doawn to 11/12 possibilities and gives us a good sense of whos playing in the game.

Kirby, you're a supercop. Abuse the hell out of it.

Cephiro is Kirby.

Link: Go ahead and just throw out a bomb as often as you can. Worst case scenario someone picks it up and you blow them up, ezpz.

If Cephiro is scum, we play on Hyrule Castle. Otherwise, we play on Zebes. This gives us a bonus lynch every day, gotta have that.

There are 2 pikachus.

There are no Luigis.

iGrok, how do you know all those things? I understand how you can know that there's at least 2 pikachu's by picking it as one of your picks and not getting it, but how do you know there's no luigi's and that Cephiro is Kirby?

Meta.

I have no actual knowledge of pikachu #s, cephiro's role, or the number of luigis. But meta says ceph is kirby (or failing that, pikachu), there are 2 pikas and no one ever picks luigi.

It doesn't look like we vote for stages beyond our initial selection, iGrok. So no endless Zebes

I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on having the item area selections being randomly generated for everyone. The way I see it, if everyone just picks whatever area they feel like on their own, mafia has an advantage in the item grabbing as they know what their partner will pick and can thus pick different areas to maximize their chances.

And I know someone is going to bring up the point of "won't that easily expose mafia, so we should just let them do it". I don't think that's the case since not only are there six areas and only eight characters so the chances of areas having multiple people aren't all that high. So it'll be difficult to identify possible partnerships that way. Secondly, I think the item selection is fairly similar to a PYP number selection scenario (in terms of motivation). Mafia know that if they behave in the optimal way all the time, there's a chance of them being exposed. So they'll probably throw in a "both characters in the same area" at least once.

It'd be nice if someone could think of a good way to pick random numbers publicly though. The way that Palmar picked random player orderings might be nice, if someone has a web page and some scripting knowledge. So we could have just have like a script that runs at like 18:00 KST or some set time like that and outputs people randomly into item areas.

- Hiro

Honestly I'd be fine with going down the list and letting whoever is in that slot choose who goes where.

Hm, that could work too I guess. And it's a lot simpler to set up.

Did you get your first pick?

I would be curious about the sample size you base your conclusions from iGrok. Bold words from you

@Hiro
Your idea with controlling the itemgrabbing for town sounds really good, supporting it as long as we can get some good way to distribute it.

We also got our first pick

-ShiaoPi

I've run 20+ games of SSB IRC mafia, where it started.

Oh, ceph, you cheeky bastard.

I think my idea of having players choose other's zones would be best. We can gai na lot of info based on who they pair/decide to sit out.

Idea was a random list but since we cant use randoms that list is fine. Starts with my strongest Town read and follows with the two people I'm most interested in seeing their decisions.

@Ceph: You got it ♥

@Saturn, yes, I did get my first pick.

iGrok's Clarification

Every time theres a stage, one person (the "King") picks the locations for each individual person.
The "King" changes each time, going to the next person on the list.

Is it really that difficult?
