Scariest Starcraft 2 Player [Teamliquid Pick]

Hello Teamliquid, I really want to create a list of who the best players are for each race, and be able to rank them. We never really had a solid Power Rank for SC2 and right now I feel is a pretty good time to let the community objectively vote for who the best players are as I feel the hype around certain players has died down a bit (MKP maybe?(; )

The power rank is staying true to what Teamliquid made it to be. Which player is the most terrifying, which player makes their opponent shake before they enter their booth, when your favorite player plays against them tears start running down your cheeks. It's not about results, it's about which player gives off that aura, and no rankings that look at results can gauge that. How one-sided are the games, are they being able to troll players from the get-go because they flow with so much confidence, this is the player who we are after.

I feel as the best way to go about this would be pick 16 Best Korean Terrans, Korean Zerg, Korean Protoss, Foreign Terran, Foreign Zerg, Foreign Protoss, and put them into groups of 4, having 4 polls per race category, and the ones' who get the top two votes advance out of their groups. Until you are left with one final group.

I will to the best of my ability pick the best players, top #5 according to TLPD for their race will be automatically added the other ones based on respectable achievements. The numbers in front of their name will represent their TLPD rank.

So without further adieu, put your objective voting face on, put your inner hardcore fan inside, and please vote subjectively. When voting I ask not to gauge skills from the last week exclusively and consider time 3 months, and about as far as 6 months back the road.

I'm unsure whether there will be any interest in this, but I for certain am very curious, and I think a two days to vote for each round will be satisfactory.

some of the groups are screwed up, eg foreign toss B compared to C.

I also think the context is important in this, MMA in a finals where he has prepared builds than MMA in a compact tournament format.

wow there are some surprising results there... as for koreans i pretty much voted for the player who had the most votes, but i think:
sjow - goody - lucifron => the third one needs far more than the first two imo
thorzain - kas => i think its alot closer than ~80-20 for Tzain
ret - nerchio => i would switch the votes , also dimaga is underrated there+ ret overrated
sen - idra - morrow - bigs => interesting group, idra overrated, bigs underrated imo
snute - livezerg - bly - lalush => interesting and close too, bly very underrated.

also, where is sLivko ? OP didn't even list him (and not everyone listed is even included in the polls) and i personally think he is better than half of the players listed.

edit: i know all the polls have a very small sample and everything could turn around, but i was just commentating on the actual results

This. Give MMA time to prepare and have a gameplan (i.e. GSL Code S/A) his TvP weakness becomes a positive (beating Oz, and MC in last 2 GSL's) and his TvT turns from just ok to scary (basically has smashed everyone in TvT since October except for Alive this past season).

There is no coincidence his last 4 GSL's have gone Champion, Ro8 (lost to a bunch of Oz cheeses and Calm Before the Storm), Champion, Ro8 (beats Oz and loses to Alive's really strong TvT).

His style is prone to dying to timing attacks since he plays really greedy and he kind of freestyles and reacts in the compact tournaments. Against Zerg, Terran doesn't actually just straight lose if he gets behind to an early bust so even if he gets behind his godly style almost always makes him win. Against Terran and Protoss their timing attacks can just end games which is why he can die to an aggressive player like Puma or MarineKing or Squirtle etc.

With a set build against a certain player he will either get far ahead (usually) or at least get to the mid/end game without dying where his decision making is very good.

MVP used to be the King of both. His overarching style was so solid and powerful that he could just play standard and destroy pretty much everyone and he always pulled out some ridiculously strong builds in GSL (his cheeses are like ridiculous and he basically always wins).

But honestly, if his TvP and TvT were as strong as his TvZ, he would probably be unbeatable until BW S-class switch or something :D
