Remember Fantasy Proleague? It's back! Unfortunately a short notice this time, but we have it!

Play! It's fun, easy, and makes watching Proleague much more exciting. You don't need to spend any time on managing your team during the season if you don't want to. If you don't fully understand the rules, don't worry. The basic thing to remember is, pick players for your "Main Team" that you think will do well, and pick players for your "Anti Team" who you think will do poorly.

Note: Please do not post your teams in this thread unless you add a lot of analysis about it. This is a thread about discussion, so there will be no spam posting of just your FPL team here. Thanks!

How to Play

You choose 6 players and 1 Pro Team that score points when they play well.
You pick 3 players that lose you points when they play well.
Players and teams can be traded between weeks for those valued less than them.

Team Selection

Main Team

Pick 6 players for your Main Team, including a captain who will be a tiebreaker
Pick 1 Proleague team (i.e. STX, CJ, SKT, etc.)
You cannot trade your captain (more on trading later)
Your 6 players and 1 Proleague team cannot exceed 30 points in cost
Your Main Team must contain at least one of each race at all times

Anti Team

Pick 3 players for your Anti Team
These players score points like Main Team players, but their score counts against you
Your Anti Team must have a value of at least 13 points (minimum)

Basic Team Selection Strategy

Pick players for your Main Team who you believe will exceed their point value from last round (underrated or rising players)
Pick players for your Anti Team who you believe will do worse than they did last round (overrated or slumping players)
Designate as Captain a player who you believe will be a lock to be good throughout the season, because you can't trade him

Trading

Trading Rules

Each week you can trade players (swap a player for someone you don't have)
Every player has a trade value, and you can only trade for players of lower value
You will be limited to a maximum 2 Main Team and 1 Anti Team trades per week
Trades do not carry over if unused
Each time you trade, your team will be assessed a -1 point trade tax

Basic Trading Strategy

Check lineups each week! Players facing weak teams are generally more valuable.
Don't make trades just for sake of making trades, as they cost you trade tax points and you may get stuck with a player you don't want
The trade price formula takes into account number of matches remaining -- so players with more matches remaining will have higher prices
You must trade for players with less value, but try to minimize the value loss. For example, if you trade someone worth 30 for someone worth 20, next week you can only trade the 20 for someone less. It's much better to trade the 30 for someone worth 29.

Groups

You will be able to create and join groups so you can compare your results with a smaller subset of the players, for example there might be a Staff Group, a First Time FPL Group, a USA Players Group, or a group created by you with just your friends.

Favorite team, was considering ACE, but since they can only field each player once, I think this is a safer choice.

Anti Team
Apparently a "Legend" has made "the switch", so I hope (for my FPL team, not hope in my heart) that it's Flash. Also his surgery should hopefully prove as an obstacle for him to overcome. For the other two, Suny shouldn't do much and afrotoss won't do well in PL as much as I love the fro'

The only time I did well was the last time the guys I like were winning. I can't divorce myself enough from the strength of my biases to be good at LB or fantasy. In any case, I'm happy STX only costs 1 point.

Dear is one of those rookie protoss who looked really sick during the season.sure he had some dumb losses but he has a style of play that just looks fresh, clean and exciting. I'm expecting him to break out like by.sun did last season

FUCK YEAH, effort is a total boss, he's been practicing for ages, he won an OSL and he's a STEAL at 5 points. Easy slot in for captain. Hydra will fade into the background once the team see's effort play in some official matches

S2 is one of the reasons SKT made the finals last season. he 3 killed KT during the SWL finals. he had a solid record and he is kind of expensive but i think worthwhile at 4 points this season. Hoping for more solid wins this season.

Tyson
Tyson will be the premier protoss on team 8 in the coming season for sure. This means he will probably get lots of games, and he had decent form last season. I know jaehoon was technically better, but tyson has always stood out as better to me, and i'm hoping to see that in the coming season.

This is an easy pick. SKT was by far the most consistent team all season, and should do well once again.

Mind was another player who just hasn't impressed me. i'm not really expecting him to slump but when looking through the 5's it was a pick between him and calm, but i half expect calm to do what jangbi did to anti teams last season, so i didn't want to risk it.

I believe everything is self explanatory.

Team 8 is being hyped like no tomorrow, but I sincerely believe that the hype isn't for nothing. Jaedong, BaBy, Sea, Tyson, Jaehoon, Killer. At last, Jaedong has a team that isn't full of a bunch of guys who just look to Jaedong's hand. None of those 6 guys is a joke and this kind of a lineup is possessed by no other team.

EffOrt, well... When he retired, he was the best ZvPer alive and his ZvZ was matched by only 1-2 others. His ZvT was his weakest point but it was not weak at all. Now he's back and already started cleaning up CJ house. By cleaning up, I mean he sweeps the entire team in those inhouse tournaments.

BaBy, he showed a very solid performance in last season, especially starting from Winners League. I guess someone has given him 76 pairs of colorful socks in his 16th birthday.

Does anyone remember what happened to Firebathero? Ggaemo? Piano? They all went into super saiyan mode level 64 when they entered ACE. Now ACE has 2 new recruits: (P)

Neo.G_Soulkey, mother of queens is back and forcing SoulKey Terran style down the throats of Terran players. 6 points seem less than reasonable for him but besides Jangbi, which 6 pointer deserves his points more than this guy?

Calm and

free were never near anything solid last season. Free was cut out of the A-Team once and Calm was a better soccer player than a starcraft player (he was the top goalscorer of KeSPA soccer tournament). (Z)

n.Die_soO was more of a gamble, I was going to pick either him or (Z)

s2 in my anti-team, I decided on the former as I love the nickname of the latter.

Baby didn't know where his career was going to go after he heard about his team disbanding before the last season ended. He had more issues to worry about than just play the best he can. He is under-valued in my opinion and will do very well. especially with Sea/Jaedong there to help him.
