Main Team 6 Horang2 (captain) 6 Jangbi 6 Killer 2 Piano 1 Sacsri 8 ZerO 1 STX SouL
Anti Team 5 Calm 4 Kal 4 Reality
Took me about 3 seconds to choose my anti and much much longer to pick main.
I have picked Calm on my main team every time I've done this and he has failed horribly so I'm putting him on anti this time. Kal was playing horribly at the end of last season and he's going to ACE so it's likely he won't win often, even if he gets sent out a lot. I can't see Reality being sent out much for Samsung when they have Stork, Jangbi, Roro, Shine, Brave, Turn etc.
For my main team I tried to pick solid players who will get a game, plus Sacsri for SKT points. STX are very underpriced imo, they will certainly win more games than some people seem to expect, bargain at 1 point. JangBi, ZerO and Killer are all solid mid-high price picks. PianO was getting a shittone of game time for ACE rounds 5 and 6 last season and was destroying zergs left and right. With the talk of the maps being anti-protoss, we might see him a lot.
Horang2 is my captain cos he's a beast and he's awesome and his gateways are more neatly arranged than any other player.
The only thing I feel I have missing that I would like to include is a player from KT but I couldn't fit one in. I think SKT will win more games than them so I picked Sacsri over someone like Reach or Anyppi.
Also thanks Heyoka for getting this up and running!

Main Team 7 Bogus 2 Brave 1 oDin 1 Sharp 7 Stats 8 Stork (captain) 3 Samsung KHAN
I checked the last season's result... Bogus 32-21, Stats42-26, they are pretty solid. Brave had the result 18-13, not too bad despite pt2. And my captain is STORK(40-29)!!! I believe he will play well if map is alright. lol I never give up my blue flag.
Anti Team 5 Calm 4 Crazy-Hydra 4 free
I know Woongjin Toss is sucks...free was 23-25. Even he had a surgery, it's gonna be hard to become 6dragons again. Calm was 25-26, it's also bad result as an ace of STX. CH, I think his entry will be reduced coz now KT has Mind+P7GAB.

This is going to be such a crazy random start to PL since everything's been off air for so long now.

It seems like Free and Snow are the two most common anti picks thus far.

TUFASTIC NO TRADE ACE WARRIORS
Main Team 5 EffOrt 4 firebathero (captain) 4 ggaemo 3 great 10 Jaedong 4 Kal 0 Air Force ACE
Anti Team 5 Calm 4 free 4 Shuttle
Well its easy. I am a ACE fanboy, so I took FBH, ggaemo, great and Kal. I always liked EffOrt and if he really got into shape, I see no reason why not to pick him. That left me with another 10 points, and I thought "well I already have 3 zerg, 1 terran and 1 protoss so there is no talk about balance here, I might as well pick the tyrant himself."
The obvious choice for those of us who claim to be the last free man on earth is ACE, as they are free as always and going to win this PL season 1 easily against all those non-military chobos out there.
"If you dont like ACE when you are 20, then you have no heart. If you still like ACE when you are 30, then you have even more heart." - actual* quote from boxer
YOU MAY NOT BELIEVE IT YET BUT AT THE DAWN OF A NEW SEASON, OLD AND NEWOLDER SHALL CONQUER ALL THAT IS SKT AND KT ALIKE.
I think clam pee and scuttle are self explanatory, they are not good. I never liked them. Please dont play good. I have no idea how they are going to play this season. Dont win, just dont. I was kidding, I like you. But not for this season, not at this time and age. Dont dissappoint me. Please. Dont step up your game, dont think that you have to show us that you can do better. Dont do better. For the love of all the gods out there (including PL,LB and BAN gods) - play bad. I want to be top 100 once. I believe in my ACE team, they can bring me to victory. They must. It is written**.
IT IS TIME FOR THE ACE WARRIORS
* If actual means non factual. ** In this post.

Effort only 5 points? Whos not gonna pick him?? :D

Ace bonjwas
Main Team 4 firebathero 3 great 3 Iris 4 Kal 6 Leta (captain) 5 RorO 0 Air Force ACE
Anti Team 5 Action 4 free 4 Reality
Edit : took tufas advice and switch to air force ace for team.
My decision to take Leta , firebathero, Iris as my main terran force because they are solid players and I believe they will perform much better these round and the decision to take Kal, great and RorO as my main too , there is a chance they will do well and I like taking chances , although I am in big trouble if kal and great starts to slump . I look at roro and I see him as a very solid zerg and has the capability of winning games hence easy pick .
Action on my anti team despite him having that awesome late game defiler there is so many opening from early game , mid game to abuse by many players who are better than him , I hope I am wong as a kt fan I don't want him to lose but that means my fpl is screwed big time , Putting free in my anti was the most easiest one , he is always giving free wins to players and Reality I don't see him doing well and I am hope I am right .

You .. take the godlike ACE players but not the team ? I don ... wh.... at ..... Like KT is going to get any points. Duh.
EDIT : And to put a player of the team you chose for points in your antiteam .. I never thought that to be very wise.

Wow, got a Top 10 finish last season so my name is forever engraved in this thread. Good luck to everyone this season!

Wonder Guys
Main Team 6 BaBy 5 EffOrt (captain) 3 HyuK 3 Shine 3 sHy 5 Tyson 5 Team 8
Anti Team 5 Action 4 Crazy-Hydra 4 HoeJJa
Team name because I'm listening to Wonder Girls at the moment. Anti team: The KT zerg lineup. I'm banking on the lack of an ace match and the KT zergs failing totally to get me some good scoring. Also banking on Hyuk and Shine to perform at their best, as well as Effort. And hoping Team 8 have success.
Lots of hoping more than 100% strategic picks.

Yeah , I initially choose ace as the team because most of my main are ace player than the kt fan boy in me is screaming at me to choose kt rolster and now that I think about it ughh what's wrong with me today . I switch it back to air force ace for team , here's hoping for the best.

Fantasy's Revenge
Main Team 8 Fantasy 4 firebathero (captain) 4 ggaemo 6 Leta 0 Rock 3 Shine 5 SK Telecom T1
Anti Team 4 HoeJJa 3 HyuK 6 Snow
Anti-team was easy in my mind: Snow is an easy pick. Effort will get games, Hydra and Leta will get games too, Horang gets the PvP, Movie has broken out, and Snow's best M/U is PvT... well CJ also has Skyhigh who is a TvT monster too.
Only 5 games and CJ has too many good players. Hyuk... I love SKT but 3 points is to high... I expect him to get 5-6 points b/c SKT wins but Hyuk should never play. I'll eat the -6 for SKT wins. Hoejja... I think he's the odd man out for KT: Flash, Stats, Mind and then 2 zergs. I think Action and Crazy-Hydra get the games. I assume they will split early and I expect Hoejja to fail.
Main Team: Really love ACE this year. In non Winners League format, ACE Firebathero and ggaemo will get the most wins so that's why I chose them @ 4. Fantasy and Leta are no brainers and I think Shine will get a lot of games for Khan this year.
My last choice is to go either: Rock + SKT or Tyson + ACE. (have to have a Toss as I don't have one yet)
As much as I like ACE's team, there are only 7 other teams and all of them have good players (less STX). If Ace wins 3 games, it might be worth it... but SKT could go 5-2 / 6-1 and I see a FBB 3-0 for a 6 point win too. This is tough but I am leaning Rock + SKT... unless someone can convince me Tyson and ACE will get more than SKT as a team.

BMSL
Main Team 5 EffOrt 4 firebathero 3 great 4 Kal 6 Killer 8 ZerO (captain) 0 Air Force ACE
Anti Team 3 hero 4 Shuttle 6 Snow
Well, this will change slightly, as I'd rather favor Terran with the current season, but Swarm Season still lingers in my brain. Let's talk picks.
EffOrt: The biggest no-brainer value pick in the draft. There are only really two primary strategies in this PL: either you have effort on your team, or you gamble on him doing poorly. Everything after that is personal preference.
firebathero: A tough call, but with the new format ACE will have a less streaky performance overall and should solidify as a decent team with a good mix of quality players and snipers. As ACE is less likely than other teams to 3-0, it is more likely that their best players will consistently get games, and thus far FBH has shown himself to be the team's top dog.
great, Kal: see hero, firebat. Kal, despite a slump, jumps immediately to the head of ACE's Protoss lineup, and great should compete for top Zerg slot. Both players are not far removed from excellence and are legitimate threats in every matchup. Also, like Firebathero, they are more modern, technical players than ACE's traditional collection of one-matchup ponies (ggaemo) and quirky snipers with unimpressive mechanics (Piano, Peace). This three-man rotation lets them attack teams in a straight-up manner when desired, though all these players (great in particular) are capable of cute plays and weird builds.
Killer: Killer is, in my eyes, a great value pick despite costing quite a bit. He will likely see play absolutely every time Team 8 has a match, with the one downside of being on T8 (stacked frontline may mean he doesnt play in a series because they win too quickly) partially mitigated by the +1 team victory. Killer seems a relatively safe bet, likely to perform similar to Jaedong, at a cheaper price. Sounds good to me.
ZerO: Along with great, this is the pick I'm closest to reconsidering. On one hand, there is less value in having a super ace player than even before, as the new format favors regular lineup appearances, team wins, and consistency more than repeated game 7 opportunities. On the other, ZerO has spent most of his career as a poster child for "inconsistent", and is on a relatively stacked (but occasionally flaky) Woongjin team. However, ZerO has picked up his game lately and is finally shedding some of the demons which have always plagued his proleague play. While I think he's probably slightly overvalued, ZerO has an exceptional ceiling and is a pleasure to watch, so for now I'm going to leave him on my team barring a shakeup.
Air Force ACE: I lied when I said there were 2 total strategies: there is a second branch with regards to point weights in this new format, and it involves team selection. In a format where top players are worth less, and any given player is less likely to appear, the consistent value of a team victory is worth more by comparison. If Bisu misses a game due to a team 3-0ing, he is never going to "make it up" in an ACE match; he is just behind on points compared to expectation. Teams do not have this problem.
So the decision, as usual, is either to invest as much as possible in the team you consider "best", or to save those points for individual players. However, many teams in this round share 5-point costs, and virtually all are clumped together with only a few points separating teams. This limits the potential to break away from the pack if many players choose one of these "top" options.
Air Force ACE, on the other hand, is clearly undercosted at 0 points, based both on past performance and the new Proleague format. The question here: is value more important than the consistent points I can get from a top PL team? Does saving 5 points here translate into a better increase in value overall by picking better players, or should I could on the surefire points from having an SK Telecom on my roster winning set after set?
At the end of the day, I think taking a top team is favored with regards to points. For that reason, I am taking ACE. Why? Because I am playing to win. Taking both SK/T8/CJ as well as Effort is likely to be the most common opening gambit this entire season. I cannot expect to win by following the most popular strategy, as even if my strategy succeeds I will have the most competition to overcome. ACE is a riskier pick, but has more upside and will somewhat reduce my pool of competitors. Additionally, if ACE do well, my ACE-heavy roster will show additional value, further separating me from the pack. We have seen in the past the value of all-SK-Telecom teams, and while I feel this season will once again reward such a strategy I am aiming in this direction instead.
Anti Team
hero: hero has looked washed-up for a while now. With the state of STX, the shrinking of lineup spots and the condensing of the talent pool, I just don't see him making a big splash or even getting much play time. I feel relatively safe with this pick.
Shuttle: Swing pick. I don't like putting Shuttle here, though I think STX isn't going anywhere and would not be surprised to see ACE outpace them this round. Shuttle is not a bad player but he's a point sink, so for now he's on my anti, just waiting to cause trouble.
Snow: Snow is a good player. Snow will score points and win games and generally be a nuisance. Snow is also buried on an extremely deep CJ team, with a resurgent Effort (who I am betting on), 2 upward-trending toss in Movie and Horang2, and in a new format where only 5 players get sent out I just don't see him getting the kind of playtime that would justify his cost.

As someone who's getting back to BW after a long period of not following it, I'm probably not making the best choices, but enh.
Nostalgia
Main Team 1 Canata
Sounds like Konata from Lucky Star, which amuses me, and I needed a 1 point player. I'm actually aware of him, so I feel he must be worth more than his cost.
5 EffOrt
EffOrt beat Flash to win a Starleague. I hate Flash. Ergo, EffOrt's on my team.
3 HyuK
My favorite player, due to his variability. You can not hope to defeat Park Jae Hyuk in a hyuk-off. He is simply the best there is.
3 Iris
The first pimpest play I saw was Iris hiding mines under a floating rax. He has a cool name.
6 Jangbi
He's the sitting OSL champion and beat Flash on the way up. He's way too cheap, and I'm taking advantage
7 Sea (captain)
Just an A-list player, last I heard.
5 Team 8
Because it's the Dream Team, and I love the name Team 8.
Anti Team 4 firebathero
He was mediocre back when I watched BW, and now he's on ACE.
5 Mind
FLAWLESS LOGIC: Mind is a KT Terran. KT only needs one Terran, and it isn't Mind. Therefore, Mind will not score many points.
4 Shuttle
I am aware that he took two consecutive games off Flash, but that's because I was making some kind of argument about how even top players lose games they shouldn't. The one game I saw of Shuttle was his debut, and he used arbiters and recall on Destination to win, but not a single goddamn shuttle. What an asshole.
