With the announcement of the FXOpen e-Sports $20,000 Live KOTH, the FXOpen KOTH is sure to be one of the most competitive events on the calendar. This competition will see some of the best players across all three servers compete in a king of the hill style format where ladder points and $250 cash is up for grabs for players who accrue the most wins. Note: Game order and lineup may be subject to significant change based on availability.
Note: There have been some minor format and prize changes. The last match of the series for 'last man standing' is now a Bo3, with consecutive games counting towards the win streak. In addition, the prize for last man standing has been reduced to $50 to better represent the worth of the effort.
This event takes place twice each weekend with both the KOTH Korea event on the KR server and KOTH International on the EU server. Each episode features exciting competitive players from GSL stars to underrated team practice heroes. Ladder points accrued for performing also contribute towards eventual offline events with much larger prizepools to be announced later in the year, and strong performances in the KOTH lead of course to potential invites to the $20,000 offline KOTH event.
All invited competitors will play in order against the winner of the previous match. After all competitors have played, the player standing undefeated at the end will recieve $50 (USD), and the player with the longest win-streak of the night will recieve $200 (USD). The final match will be Best-of-Three. Ladder points for the event will also be awarded as below:
