Welcome to Minecraft PvP. Round 3
Patch Notes for Round 3
+ Show Spoiler +
-Factions will be limited to 10 members.
-Anyone can create a faction.
-Power lost while offline increased mildly.
-Power lost with deaths increased.
-Afk will not kick you unless server is full.
-McMMO abilities are nerfed. Stats carry over.
-Friendly animals are back. Using leather is encouraged.
-Gemstones, iron, gold, are harder to find.
-World map is completely different. http://jezarith.net/5i.png
-There are no peaceful factions.
-Chestshop is gone. It is being replaced by another chest-type plugin, that works similar to a stock market. You setup a chest, set an initial price. Selling to it lowers the buy/sell price by set increments, buying from it raises the buy/sell price, like a dynamic market.
-Admin ticket system in place. We will no longer directly answer calls for admins, aside from hacking.
-Mods will be recruited from the regular player base to answer tickets.
-There is no /spawn command. Reviving after death will bring you to random part of world, in one of over 30 locations, randomly.
-Main spawn town is still featuring a market, is much smaller, and is pvp free.
-Factions are now shown in-town with "totems of prestige" which consist of 2 iron blocks, with a set number of diamond blocks stacked to represent the prestige level of the faction. More prestige points = more blocks.
-Few examples of prestige, building a road to spawn village, building a throne room, building a above-ground castle, etc. All will earn you points.
-Reaching certain levels of points earn you qualification for set-level rewards, such as iron, diamond, etc.
-Prestige is a average level of the pre-determined levels of mods+admins.
-Land in spawn-town will be available for sale, for use as extended markets, faction buildings, mansions and more.
-Roads/rails built for transportation between factions will be worldguard protected via admin ticket.
-World is much smaller.
Rules:
+ Show Spoiler +
-Follow the rules. Easy.
-Don't trash admins.
-Admins take their own discretion on rules not listed.
-It's just a game, no personal attacks.
-Your no held accountable in the server for attacks made in thread.
-Do not use all caps, racist or bigot terms.
-Don't disrupt the server.
-We don't care if you don't care. Take your Minecrafting elsewhere if thats the case.
-TeamSpeak users get perks. If you don't like it, tough. Communication is key.
-No automated farms, or cloning devices. Insta-ban.
-Obviously no hacks/xray of any kind. Insta-ban.
-No skybridges or structures that don't make sense. Bridges spanning large distances without proper arches or supports will soon find them "collapsed". Repeat offenses will be dealt with.
-Finding new tactics that are widely accepted to be "cheap" will be dealt with harshly. Admins may use their own opinion about what is "cheap" or not. Consider that before trying.
Factions Plugin
+ Show Spoiler +
For full guide go here: http://massivecraft.com/plugins/factions
Faction creation is currently closed on the server. All players wishing to create a faction must apply via this thread.
Factions allow you to claim land and protect all the blocks in that area. Land is claimed in a 16x16 horizontal blocks. Vertically all blocks are claimed in the 16x16 section. You can only claim as many chunks of land that is equal to your current power. Your power is capped at 10, but your power is used collectively as a guild allowing you to claim as much land all your members have collectively. Your power drops through dying. Every death lowers your power by 4 every death, but you regain power over time. Your power is regained at a rate of 0.2/minute.
If your factions current power falls below the amount of chunks of land you have claimed then other factions can now claim your land starting from the border.
Once you have a faction I recommend closing it to prevent anyone joining it and taking your loot. You can close your faction by type “/f close” in-game. From that point on all members will need to be invited.
I recommend you read the full guide for more indepth information.
Around the World:
+ Show Spoiler +
There are many different factions each with a different agenda. As you venture out into the world for the first time, if you are already a worn traveler, it will always do you good to learn about each faction, and their personalities.
The immediate faction you will first come into contact with, and also the faction you will have the most contact with in the server entirely, aside from your own faction is the Imperial Faction, which are tasked with overseeing the defense and maintenance of the Imperial City of New Andorhal.
While they are open to allowing anyone at even a young age to be recruited to help defend their walls, they are very localized, and not expected to be anything long term for a player that is looking for fame and glory. You will want to study other factions and work your way up the ranks... you will want to create your own story.
Keep in mind each faction comprises of a few "key" things to be considered "established".
-They must have an Embassy in New Andorhal. Embassies server as recruitment stations, as well as for informative purposes.
-They must have 5 or more members. (which is also requirement for creation)
-They must have an active TS channel. (most already do)
If you do not have a TS channel for your faction, we recommend asking an admin for one. Why? It's no secret that more than half the server is online at any time in TS, to be accessed quickly and easily at any time. It works great for organization, and also diplomacy. Many can tell you how many laughs a night we have in there.

You will start with nothing, and have no place to call home. This is war, and you've been caught in the middle of it.
