So at first I was just screwing around then I played a few more games, and it seemed pretty fun and strong. Beat some master players like they were noobs with it. Some of the games, you don't even need micro because you have 5X+ their income.. hehe. Sorry if it seems like a bit of a troll post but I think it can be viable... going to test some more.

Build order

9 pylon
10 gateway
20 nexus
22 cybernetics
and keep making more nexus when mineral allows!

here's some replays

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218011#/replay_overview

(start from game 2, and some other "interesting" games after that)

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218025

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218031

games vs Saracen (testing to see if it is viable)... he knows what's coming and was still able to win games, that's when you know a strat can be viable.

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218061

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218062

GGs was fun!

I've experimented with adding an extra nexus in my main after taking my natural in order to saturate on probes quicker and have additional chrono boost. My idea was to use the extra chronoboost to get a really quick +1 attack and charge or blink. There were 2 main issues I ran into. The first was the obviously vulnerability to an early attack. The other was that if there was any early harrasment or pressure it seemed to throw off the timing quite a bit which somewhat defeated the purpose of having the extra chrono boost. I'm sure there are amazing timings out there which could be exploited but I see it as being very thin.

This simply relies on lack of scouting of your opponent. Any post which can be answered with the word no shouldnt be posted.

However i do thoroughly enjoy watching you win with it If it works for you keep with it i guess. Gl.

Seems like any proper early aggression would do a lot of damage to this build. It could work, but I dont think it could for any large percentage of the time.

This tactic is just a lol-thought that passed my mind, but after seeing a master-player use it i definitely think i can give my diamond opponents a roll with it.

And as terran uses it to mass marines, maybe protoss can cut back on gas and use it to gain a massive chargelot-push. You just made my analysis-day a little bit more interesting.

Thanks for sharing!

This is what we call "Economic Cheese". Like most cheeses, it requires lack of scouting to work properly. If you can manage to sneak them and gain the macro advantage from this, then you should be able to win off of that.

Otherwise, scouting and responding with the proper aggression should destroy this. No amount of Nexuses will help you hold off a Thor or Roach/Ling all-in xD

THinking about it some more, I think it works really good against Terran because Terran players love to hide behind their little bunkers and then usually build an extra OC. This will lure the Terran out of their defensive play to kill your nexus or they will have to deal with your 5x+ nexus vs their 2 OC.

At work, huh? Yep, we all believe you.
Really though, this seems like it would die to:
-A 4 gate
-Any Terran All-in
-Roach-ling timing
-A similar Terran strategy I have (mass expo style)
-Any non-FE from protoss
-14 gas 14 pool mass speedlings (how are you going to defend nexuses?)

obviously it's mostly geared toward PvT...

Did you even watch the 1st replay? The terran was doing exactly an all in, which is why he failed so miserably. He proxied gated a racks near my base, which left his base more vulnerable than normal, and zealots were able to tear him apart... Then later he was had a big enough of an army to take out my whole base, and he still got overran by the insane economical lead.

The only real reason it seemed to work in both those games is because you got an early lead from zealot rushing. If you did no damage then their timing would have hit when you had nothing, so you'll just lose.

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218025

In that game, your one Gateway Zealot harass did too much damage. It was 20 Probes vs. 9 SCVs after the Terran held it off.

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218011#/replay_overview

Same thing happened here, but seriously, this was a joke game... Your main got destroyed and you pleaded "20 min no rush" while having four hidden expos. Your opponent didn't realise until way later.

http://www.gamereplays.org/starcraft2/replays.php?game=33&show=details&id=218031

This game started with a proxy Gateway.

You won all three games due to a lead at the start or because your opponent wasn't playing seriously. This build focuses on doing damage with the early Gateway and mass expanding behind it. The early Zealot(s) encourages the Terran to turtle while you take the whole map.

Mass expanding is sometimes good when your opponent has an immobile army or when your opponent likes to keep his army together. Also, by making a ton of Gateways (supported by the high income), you can warp in units to quickly fend off any drops. Even if your opponent attacks one base, you have many others and can always expand again. It's a viable strategy but I don't think your replays really show that.

I've tried nexus walls in the late game vs Z, they are stronger and faster to put up than a pylon/2gates and the same cost (EG shakuras, walling the two paths between the 'pocket' third and xelnagas). 20 gates with 7 nexus worth of chrono is fun

Play Saracen, should be fun to watch
