Guild information :
+ Show Spoiler +
The guild is live on Haomarush EU Horde under the tag <Team Liquid>. We have around 65 members at the time of this edit. Our objectives are to set up a strong core of raiders with the objective of hitting a high ranking in Europe. We will also accept PvPers and casuals. Guild arena teams and rated battleground are something we foresee in our future.
Who do we want ?
* Raiders
* PvP'ers
* Casuals
1. Guild Structure
Ranks and Responsibilities
The guild is broken down into the following ranks
* Guild Master
* Officer
* Officer alt
* Veteran Member
* Member
* Alt
* Trial
Collectively, Guild Master and Officers are referred to as officers, or leaders
The following gives some basic roles/responsibilities to each of the ranks. These lists show where ultimately the responsibility lies but in almost all cases there is some flexibility, and the points can be discussed at any level we deem sensible. Some specific requirements for all people within the guild are set out later in this thread.
General requirements for signups etc are taken in separate points and apply to all raiding players.
During raids, the highest rank player of each class will act as a raid leader for that raid (so 3 raid leaders), with specific responsibilities. These are covered in point 4.
All active ranks assume the responsibilities of subsequent ranks (excludes the inactive rank, old guy).
Raiding Ranks
- You are a representative of our guild. Please act responsibly and professionally!
- Please make the officers' jobs easier. Early signups, punctual for raids that kind of stuff.
- RECRUITMENT. When the guild needs a new player, we all need the new player so we're all in on this one!
- But above all; please remember this is a game; we are here to have fun.
Officers
- Lead by example
- Raid schedule
- Target guild numbers
- Player Reviews
- Guild bank
- GMotD and Notifications
- Organisation during raids
- Rotations
- Calendar events
- Handle private applications
- Formally approve / deny applications
- Identifying recruitment needs
- Discuss and award loot in raids.
- Understand the needs/requirements of the classes in your camp.

- Discuss and help distribute crafted loot.
- Be comfortable with acting as master looter during raids.
Veteran Member
- Thrall tested, Jaina approved, senior member
Member
- Contribute to tactics
- Help the officers
- Beat the officers at DPS/TPS/HPS and mock them.
Trial
- New recruits. Learn to be a member or die trying.
Non Raiding Ranks
- Represent the guild you have the privelege of being a member of professionally and responsibly
- Be nice
Alts
- Alternative characters. Edit your guild notes to reflect that your character is an alt.
2. Raid Leading
The raid will be lead by the Raid Leader in conjunction with the officers.
They will decide.
- Next boss
- Breaks
- Group setup
- Who sits out
All of these decisions can be discussed with lower ranks.
The officers will each have specific responsibilities when leading the raid. They may delegate the following roles as they see fit, but ultimatly they are responsible for making sure things run smoothly. Where tasks overlap, they may be deferred to one of the players. It should not be assumed that the task is being done just because there's an overlap of responsibilies.
Healer leader
Healing assignments
Ranged positions
Melee leader
Interuption
DPS Priorities
Melee Buffs/Debuffs. Including boss damage reduction
"camping" (2-3 groupings on bosses)
Ranged leader
Interuptions
DPS Priorities
Ranged positions
Ranged camp buffs (excluding hunter)
The raid will also have a Master Looter. The master looter will be one of the officers
3. Raiding Schedule and Loot rules:
During progress raiding the following schedule is typically used.
When we think a raid isn't possible or needed, we will endevour to cancel the raid at least 24 hours in advance. (this will only be possible with good use of signups/signoffs). We are still working on such a system, please bear with us.
4. Loot Council
The loot council is made up of the officers and some veteran members.
Our aim is to gear our members to allow us to best progress upcoming encounters. However we also try to reward players for their effort, and give loot out to those who deserve it wherever possible.
Some info
As a general rule, loot is awarded when it drops, although there are no rules against deciding before hand. Because loot decisions are often made on the go, people have to accept, that from time to time, loots are not given to the best candidate. Hopefully the guys on the loot council will learn from the mistakes and not repeat similar mistakes. The only way the whole system will work is if people act maturely and respect the decisions the council make, whether they ultimatley agree with them or not.
Loot is currently being awarded based on the following (as much as possible):
* Attendances
* Player ability
* Level of upgrade
* Class suitability
* Number of recent loots
* Overall contribution to the guild
* Consumable usage
How do I get loot?!
The current procedure is.
* Master looter announces which loot we are awarding.
* Each player who would like that item, pastes their current item/s along with a short reason for getting the item (stats, set bonuses, etc)
* The loot council discuss and award
* The loot is awarded
* 1 player is happy
The best way to get loot is to be active and good at playing your class!
Please observe and act in accordance with the following rules:-
1. Loot decisions will be made by the council and the reasons for loot reward will be given as and when the council deem appropriate.
2. Decisions are final. Any whining whatsoever will not be tolerated. If you would like to make constructive enquiries or criticism about decisions it will be done so through whispers only.
3. Think carefully about what you are 'rolling' on; if you're not 100% sure you should get the item then let someone else have it that can utilise it more.
4. "Saving" is not allowed; this is when you hold out on rolling to have more of a chance at other loot. This is unfair and the council will notice you doing it.
5. The linking of items at a lesser quality than items you already have is strictly not allowed. The swapping of equipment prior to looting will be noticed. Do not do this.
6. When linking loot, do not make comments about how you deserve the loot, but you are welcome to explain why you would benefit from it.
7. When linking loot, comments such as "please!" or smiley faces will simply be frowned upon.
8. If you feel that your council members are not representing you within the loot council, or you feel constructive enquires or criticism is not being dealt with by them, you may take it to a Guild Officer.
5. What we expect of each other
- Full consumable use.
- PvE dual spec if possible
- Learn about the encounters. Know what to expect in advance.
- Accurate signups and punctuality.
Gear related.
- At least 1 profession that can boost your pve performance. Skilled to a suitable level. (Alch/BS/Enchanting/Eng/Inscription/JC/LW/Tailoring)
- Any 2nd profession skilled. If you don't have a 2nd prof, you'll be expected to take one of the above as your 2nd prof.
- Best quality gems possible as a minimum.
- Best enchants available.
- A sound understanding of what gear upgrades are available.
