If anyone is interested in the leveling journey and can't wait for official news, pm me. It seems like a decent server, basically 3 Guilds that have killed Lich King heroic, 2 of them on horde side. Apathy, one of the horde guilds, was World 69 for Ulduar as well. http://www.wowprogress.com/pve/eu/haomarush

Few questions: # How many days raiding? # Would anyone be up for a 5 man instance grind to get 80 before launch, this is no problem for me as long as everyone is focused. I don't mind tanking or DPS. (Warrior) # How is leadership going to be structured? I've been a guild leader in the past and know first hand the responsibilities it brings. # I'm assuming that the goal of everyone in the guild is play at their best level during progress? Playing with slacking/lazy people is not my idea of fun. # We got a vent or anything similar set up/planned? Definitely sounds like this could be awesome, hope it pans out.

Since we haven't talked that much yet, I don't know what the other two are thinking, but here's my take on it. Since I want a top guild, 5 days a week or until content is cleared between 1900 and 2300. Sunday-Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays for social life. Personally I would like to raid 20 hours a week every day of the week, but that's simply not reasonable and I think even I'd get sick of it after just one week, as I can barely manage 8 consecutive hours of work on my own website. Since I haven't played the beta, I would not be up for a 5 man leveling group. I'll be racing to 85 and since I don't know the instances I won't be able to perform at my best ability there. My view of leadership is Guild Leader, Raid Leader, Officers, Class Leaders. Raid leader makes decisions during raids, and his word is final, that's it. The raid leaders role is to lead the raid, and while people can make inquiries and consult the raid leader on what they think is best, at the end of the day he is the one who makes the decisions. If you have a problem with that you take it up with the raid leader or possibly the guild leader, if talking to the raid leader is like talking to a wall. The guild leader, raid leader and officers responsibility is to make sure we have competent players, and the guild leader is in charge of choosing the most competent raid leader. I'm expecting people to level hardcore to 85, reaching level 85 on December 11th at the latest, before official raiding hours which I assume would be around 1900 in game time. There is no ventrilo server that I know of yet, but there is still plenty of time left until December 7th.

I would like to see the general consensus on this, because it sounds ludicrous to me. Plenty of guilds who aren't mega hardcore like Ensidia and Paragon raid five nights a week, plus I said five nights a week until content is cleared, not that you have to be online during raid hours when there is nothing to clear. I was hardcore leveling from 55-80 as a Death Knight in WoTLK and reached 80 after less than 3 days and attended a Naxx 10 man raid on the third day. If people really want to be a top guild, you can't slack off because you don't feel like it. Four days of playing is not really unreasonable, as the hardcore levelers will stay up until they reach 85, which will probably take between 30 and 40 hours. Playing 10 hours a day for four days to be among the first people on the realm and in the world to take on the new content is not unreasonable at all. Four days should be plenty of time for you to level from 80-85, without having to stay up all night and mess up your sleep schedules. As I've said many times before, I don't want to play in a guild where you just play casually because you want to play with buddies from Team Liquid. I would like to employ the same standards for the WoW sections as the people running the SC2 team are.

I can see why some, may at first sight see the 5 days a week raid schedule and scream WTF! But do realise that when new content is released, all you want to do is play, alongside others who are equally focused and hungry to kill shit. Till at last all your team effort pays off and you all stand proud above the beast you worked so hard to conquer. The nerd screams over vent when we downed C'thun for the first time, oh man, good times. I was asking if anyone would like to level to 80, not 85, ergo starting fresh on the server of choice. Regarding levelling to 85, from what I've gathered, questing alongside instances is the quickest route.
