My only question is, where is everyone else? I can only remember one measly city-sate and i think 2 other civs.. Where is everyone!! This is a huge map on continents which means that about 3 or 4 civs per continent with SC's
Well, Darius has bought up 3 other CSs. I know this only because they are all at war with us. As for everyone else, we must be on the isolated Continent so everyone is on the other more populated one. I think they're pretty far ahead of us too; both the Forbidden Palace and the Lourve have been built, and one of the unmet nations lost their capital.

Is it my turn to take it a bit? I'll play it out and let you know how it goes. If I'm stepping on someone's toes, sorry! You play it out too =D
Thanks We have an order on the first page.
Oh boy, didn't see that! Spear at the beginning and me at the end! On the off chance, Oblivian do you mind if I take a turn to start the whole cycle over? I'm not insisting, just over eager =D No worriies, I don't mean to come in and be BM. Up to you

The guy you should ask is Casta, since he's next. Given the speed that turns tend to go at, though, yours will come up in a day or so anyways.
First off, this post is dedicated to chairman Plexa whose eternal mercy knows no bounds.
It is time for the Persians to know our cunning and taste our bullets for our mandate of heaven is everlasting.
So this is how we basicly start off Enemies everywhere that need to be cleansed He is feeling it now that Darius I know it Now Darius is so weakened that this happens Sounds like a bargain to me, 10 turns of peace while we sit and mass up our forces, you got it coward. However all those extra cities gave us like 20 unhappiness, so time to burn some Persian fools and trade with the Ghandi. Might as well exploit a little easy money also Nono Darius our horses are of excellent breed and may our peace be eternal! Finally green happiness, but tensions are high on the border, will peace last? No hahaha, we will feed our children with the blood of Persians! This will change the war as soon as we get enough funds! A little looting and murdering might help there. For now nothing can withstand our cannons! Right Darius is getting scared, but he will never know peace, I spat in his face with this deal Sadly he refused... no matter we will just exterminate them! Artillery is so good, nothing can stop us now!
I love those readings guys keep it up I play Civ5 a littlebit by myself so its very interesting and much fun to follow your games. Maybe one day I feel good enough to join, but I have o practice until the time comes. I read every post since the beginning and I´ll continue, because you´re amazing gl hf and stomp your enemies!
I forgot to mention that while I played quite a few capitals were taken from unknown players and wonders were built, Statue of Liberty is the most advanced built in a far away land. I think they are in mid industrial era or something while we just got there.
Also Ghandi looks to be quite powerful, can't wait to figure out how the rest of the world looks.

But anyway onto it! Well! You folks certainly did not leave me a cakewalk! It was tough, but now we are in a very strong position. At first the Persian hordes came through our great land, but the only thing they found was death. How dare they think they can be so uppity against the superior Middle Kingdom! We will subdue the Persian barbarians, and make them bow to us.
You see! Their intellect is not so great as ours. They place a cannon on the front lines, to be easily destroyed by our Musketmen! How careless!
They come to us with a laughable surrender. The fight will continue, so long as we have the Mandate of Heaven! The Gods are on our side!
But seriously, their Knights are the most frustrating, annoying !@#$ing unit this whole war. They kept flanking our Musketmen, killing units that I retreated for healing beyond the fog of war without Line of Sight! WTF. They even suicided to kill low riflemen in the middle of our lines! No purpose to their tactics! Surely our genius General Zhuge Liang will over come them.
Eventually we lay siege to their city and claim it, with all the spoils! With it, we start a 4 turn golden age for adopting Rationalism! Our heavenly science will surpass all the world's!
Our golden age comes to an end, and we are heavy in debt. The ministers come to me on bending knee, weeping at how we will go bankrupt and our great society will lay in ruins! But clever as I am, I promote one of my officers to the rank of General, so that HE may show the Chinese nation a greater Golden Age!
What's this?? Technology we have not!? How did these barbarian 鬼gui gain this power? Their thunderous Cannons would be no match for our great Chu-Ko-Nu devices, invented by Zhuge Liang himself right? No. Our forces falter, and Ecbatana returns to those Persian 狗 gou. Curse them. But our genius Scientist newly promoted from the great Civil Service Examinations of our great nation give us yet another advantage over the bearded barbarians.
The coward Darius, having his forces wiped off the map, offers yet another surrender asking for much less. How dare his insolence! Should he not be begging for his life? I will not give him one inch of the divine Middle Kingdom, much less 2 cities!
Why would I capitulate to those 胡人 hu ren when we clearly are at an advantage? The superiority of Chinese training carries over from our Chu-No-Ku men as we hand them Rifled Muskets instead! Because who has March, City Raider, two attacks per turn Riflemen? WE DO!
Ecbatana returns to our hands, in a convincing victory. The end of the Persian bearded dog-men is nigh!
Our empire continues to prosper, as I have improved the land, built stables, more universities, and more banks while only stopping to replenish our losses. Our army is in the strongest position ever! We have responded to the Persians loud jeers with even louder shouts. The Chinese nation has stood up! 万岁! wan sui
Live streaming now my turns at livestream.com/blazinghand
EDIT: after a brief interruption, we're back!
EDIT 2: After several hours of play, I'm halfway through my turn, and am taking a lunch break. >.> Darius is down to 1 city, and i'm planning my move against Ghandi. Due to some internet issues, the VoD so far is split into three bits.
EDIT 3: Ugh, alright, fixed my streaming software, but it's pretty late. I'm gonna crash and finish up my turn tomorrow morning.
EDIT 4: Streaming again.
EDIT 5: Wiped Darius, got ahead in tech again, built public schools in everywhere, consolidated tile improvements, found coal and oil, made country happy. My turn's done, sorry it took so long
SO HERE'S WHERE WE STAND: Ghandi is incredibly strong, he's ahead of everyone in tech, cities, and army size, and he's trying to win via conquering. We can't stand up to him, and due to his strength, if we declared war, we'd never see peace until he was dead. Washington has a vaaast majority of the city-states in his pocket. If the UN voted today, he'd win. I've set us up for a social or science victory. We've consolidated power on this continent with an iron fist. DO NOT ANNEX ANY PUPPETS unless it's gamebreaking to do so or not, because it'll wreck our culture and happiness. Try to avoid direct conflicts with other nations, since we have no navy. I've been microing the laborers in all our active cities pretty hard to optimize them. This is part of why my turn took 4 hours over 2 days for 40 turns. You're going to want to set everyone to "auto" and maybe micro the specialists unless you're also crazy. If you micro right you can keep beaker production above 600!

who's going next, btw? me or Furycrab?
If you don't mind I'll give it a go around 5 EST. Let's just say there's a lot of motivation for me to finish my turn in one day. Since I'm out of town for the weekend.
Edit: Btw for future games, people should be more proactive about scouting. People on the other continents tend to make great trading partners and all your techs become cheaper for each person you've met. + natural wonders etc...

Ghandi is like, the worst person to go at late game ;-;
ALWAYS take that fucker out right away. That's my philosophy. He always backstabs you in the end and just destroys everything.
Lol, I kinda hate Alexander more than I hate Ghandi.
Nuking Ghandi is annoying, but "I now own half the world because I was a warmongering jerk early game Alexander" makes me want to kick a kitten every time I play a continents game and explore the other continent to see he's wrecked almost everyone there already.

The only person worse than Ghandi is England. Then Alexander.

No way man. You're forgetting Hiawatha. That fucker always has a large empire in the games he's in with me. Always stabs you in the back at the end.

I personally hate Ramkhamhaeng the most, however Ghandi earns a solid number 2 and Ghengis number 3.
But usually anyone starting close to you needs to die at some point unless you want to get stabbed :/
After accessing the possible victories. Domination seemed unlikely because I was completely blind.
Had a few good RAs coming up in the next dozen turns so I focused my attention on getting the techs I needed and blocking what I didn't want. Cultural victory seem unlikely since Ghandi pretty much runs the Wonder party... However it's not impossible and you'll see later that I did at least one thing to help should you choose to try.
THIS became the most urgent problem, a quick look to the victory page and Ghandi was in the modern age and with 16 votes with only 12 needed. He was even poking fun at some of my City states like you see in that picture. Most of my gold I made during this session was almost entirely spent into sniping CS allies from Ghandi.
With two civs still to find, and over 6 natural wonders, a destroyer seemed like a sound investment since my military plan later on was pretty much not to get involved. I ended up buying a destroyer, but this happened... Clearly someone wasn't having a good time.
This a few turns later happened, sadly killing one of the RAs gifted to me by my predecessor.
This is also worth noting, and maybe should be considered a deterrent to go to war unless you see no other option.
Here I met Napy, and used it to get more gold.
Social policy wise I got 2 during my tenure. I focused on getting the 2 free techs along with 2 Great Scientists, more on this in my resume.
I finally met Japan, however I soon learned this was going to be a short friendship. Askia also took an exit in this time. Even if I still had no clue where everyone was.
Finally with combination of RA's and 2 Great Scientists I managed to push to Sat tech which unlocked Apollo program and gave me a good look at the map + the remaining Natural wonders.
Lastly, one or two turns from the end of my tenure I give this to my future, it might not be incredibly useful, but it might give you one or two extra social policies.
Things I want to pass on...
1) Going for a tech victory at this point seems the most sound, we could draw out a long war, but we run the risk of having whoever is left beat us to tech.
2) You have 2 techs left to get all the parts, however you will be able to dedicate 4-5 "Decent" cities to get the first few parts fairly quickly once Apollo finishes in our capital.
3) There are two left over RAs I believe, you can use that as you wish, or try to time it to get the last few Apollo techs faster with blocking.
4) Everyone is relatively friendly (Washington I think is a bit fake friendly so keep your eye on him) but everyone cept maybe France has Manhattan project, be careful.
5) I tp spammed all our puppets, and I recommend you use the workers we have to link up our production cities with railroads to speed up the Space Victory.
6) I managed to bring Ghandi down from 16 UN votes to 11 2/3rds? Unless you plan on going to war with him I would suggest stealing at least 2 more from him. It's also a major contributor to our luxury resources. Don't want to lose to diplomacy as we get closer to winning!
P.S.: If there's a problem with any of the files, let me know <.< little busy, but would hate for anything to be broken considering I'm out of town tomorrow evening.
