This is bullshit.You cant do heroics with random people unless everyone in raid outgear it.You cant clear heroics when a patch comes out.You can only clear it when everyone and their babies cleared it already and with watching youtube videos of strategies.
I remember countless wipes even on NORMAL DS last 2 bosses.It is hard to coordinate with random people especially with wow community.

I'm really tired of ppl saying shit like this. Try doing current heroic content with a legit guild, them come tell me how fucking easy it is. I cleared all of BWD and BoT and Sinestra HM while it was current, as well as Heroic Rag and I'm here to tell you the raids are almost too hard. There isn't anything to do but log in and go right to work just grinding out wipe after wipe after wipe trying to get everyone up to speed on executing the perfect strat. Raiding in WoW simply isn't fun for me anymore because all it is is running 100-200 iterations of the same strat until everyone clicks on the same page now. It is extremely hard infact. ( I was in a top 10 US guild through most of cata also I have some perspective being a 1000+ pt master in sc2 so I'm not some game degenerate that has only played wow )

I'd actually be mildly interested in play this again after not playing since early WOTLK but I'd have to rebuy all the freaking games. Hopefully they will drop the prices of all the earlier ones once MoP comes out but it will probably still be annoyingly expensive. With prices right now if would be 120 dollars total just to play. I guess it's my fault for losing all my cd keys when i moved

If you haven't played since wotlk your account is probably eligible for a scroll of resurrection from someone. The scroll gives you a free upgrade to cata + a free level 80.

At the moment, the TL guild is called IMBA on the Lightning's Blade-US server. There was talk of possibly server transferring to a more active realm, not sure what they've decided there, or if it's been discussed yet.

Nefarion took over a month to clear before it was beaten on heroic, and it was cheesed with 11 druids. But awesome work beating content that is 2 tiers old by outgearing the mind control DPS mechanic and the electrocute mechanic.

This is it - Cataclysm's first tier of raiding has finally been finished. We are quite satisfied with how everything went, despite some setbacks along the way. Right now we are probably even happier to be able to soon go back to our 1 day/week raiding schedule after the merciless non-gated grind.Al'Akir was a rather unforgiving boss overall. The difference on this particular boss is absolutely massive in 10-man compared to 25s due to the area scaling. Congratulations to Dream though for getting the world first in 10-man! We've NEVER put as much effort into a kill as we now did on downing Heroic Ragnaros. We had a few grueling low percentage wipes and we were already planning on continuing early tomorrow with a better set of gear. Our kill attempt was going to be our last pull of the night as the thunderstorms and disconnects were kicking in. Then everything clicked. All of our combined effort, practicing, theorycrafting and planning finally paid off. We had a near-perfect try and Ragnaros just melted away. A wave of relief washed over us. It was finally over. I don't think anyone (anyone sane anyways) argued that the first heroic kills are hard, very hard actually. The problem is that a couple of weeks after the content has been released, it will be nerfed into oblivion, just to enable casual players to see all of the content. This means that two months after a patch anyone will run around in the same gear that guilds like Paragon worked their asses off to obtain. A lot of changes since Wrath that were meant to make the game better actually made it a lot worse (Dungeon finder, token system, having to grind dailies for gear etc.). Anyone who played at least semi-seriously since release will agree that the game was simply a whole lot better before wotlk. and this has nothing to do with nostalgia.

Vanilla? You mean World of Roguecraft? Raid or die? Where classes waited several months as Blizzard slowly reviewed and rebalanced each class, at the rate of one class per patch? Where paladins were stuck waiting for the paladin review, and priests were stuck waiting for the priest review? Where hybrids were forced to heal? Where warriors were the only tanks? Where mages 1-shoted you with AP-POM-Pyro? Where warlocks top DPS charts by spamming only shadow bolt? Where Ragnaros had like 3 abilities compared to like the 20 he has now? That Vanilla?

That's pretty much it. There is a "natural" constant nerf because of the ID system; you acquire more gear over time regardless of how much bosses you kill per week, there's new gear every week. But these days, on top of that, Blizzard nerfs all hard bosses into oblivion after a very very short amount of time. Heroic Madness right now is a bad joke that has absolutely nothing to do with the fight that it was 6 months ago.

Yes, if only 14% of raiding guilds have beaten a boss, that makes it a joke. (Stat taken from wowprogress, rounded up.) Your logic is perfect! 
If you killed it 6 months ago, it likely is a joke to you now. For everyone else, it isn't. And there is far more of everyone else than there is of people who killed it 6 months ago. If spine/madness were sitting at around the same as heroic morchok (74%), I'd be more inclined to agree with the people who claim the content is easy. Yet it is absolutely nowhere near that value.
I'd wager millions of dollars on the fact that 99% of people who claim content is easy have never ever beaten raid content pre-nerf. They only ever reach it after nerfs, if they ever reach it at all.

357 guilds have killed heroic Al'Akir on 25m even today. That's about 8,925 players out of 10,000,000.
