So I've been learning tristana lately and i'm like 13-3 with her in win/loss ratio, but I still haven't got her down yet. I played 2 games with TL comp and go 11-0 one game to win and 8-10 the other to lose hard. Does anyone have any build tips with her? I open doran's blade/pot and usually go either triple blade/berserker's greaves or pickaxe/bf sword depending on my farm. Inf. edge first followed by a bloodthirster then a frozen mallet or a last whisper, depending on team comp. Anyone got any tips?

Summoner spells
1. Teleport / Cleanse 2. Flash for summoner spells.
Teleport gives you more lane presence. It also allows you a great degree of freedom from your team to farm creeps and push lane. Cleanse gives you (duh) more survivability. Flash is awesome.
Runes
Arm pen marks, HP / Arm pen quints, Dodge / Health seals, Mres / Mp5 LVL glyphs.
This is a basic, simple setup. Take more Arm pen runes for more damage and health for more survivability.
Item order 1
1. Vamp scepter / Dorans shield 2. boots 1 3. B. F. sword / Phage 4. Zerk Greaves / Merc Threads / Tabi
Tabi against dps heavy teams, mercury against slow/stun team, and Zerkers if not worried about survival. Most of the time its gonna be merc though.
5. Bloodthirster 6->. Go either survivability or more damage depending on opposing team setup.
I'd start with vamp scepter since you can build it quickly to thirster and gives you decent staying power. Dorans shield is also ok. I can see the reasoning stacking Dorans Blades.
from solomid:
4 x Doran's Blade = 1740 Gold Doran's Shield + Phage = 1750 Gold
Blades: 480 hp, 24 dmg, 16% LS Phage + Shield: 345 hp, 18 dmg, 8 armor, 8 hp/5, Chance to slow
Stacking Dorans items will gimp your late / mid game. Going for raw damage items very early makes the difference imo. Tristana can be built with almost any attack speed items. This is why she is very good carry. Early game just farm farm farm. If you get a good shot at ganking, go for it, but stay in lane and farm for a B.F sword. Always grab a lizard buff if you can. If you can't you probably need a phage.
Item order 2
1. Dorans shield / Longsword 2. Boots 1 3. B.F. Sword / Phage 4. Zerk Greaves / Merc Threads / Tabi 5. Finish Black Cleaver if you haven't

After that, max Rapid Fire then Explosive Shot and save Rocket Jump for last, taking your ult at every available level. Always take explosive jump as your first skill You can escape ganks with it and it will give you some basic ganking ability too.

I can't seem to decide if that Trist guide is a joke...
1. ignite is amazing and extremely helpful for getting kills. rocket jump is already a blink, so you can sometimes get away without running flash 2. AP runes? armor pen is by far the best early game, though crit dmg, crit, attack speed are all good 3. item build has been covered many many times (IE + LW + phage + survivability), rushing BT is... interesting and probably situational, e.g. you're already dominating the other team 4. if you're going to run AP runes, at least max rocket jump first, though going BT first means you'll no attack speed without rapid fire

1. Ignite is good, but tristana has explosive shot that is a heal reduction skill already. Flash is an awesome skill since you can use it defensively and offensively. It is OP and probably going to be nerfed. 2. Arm pen is the best damage rune. Every top ELO player uses Arm pen runes. Crit damage and crit % don't even come close. I'm not gonna argue about this with you. Check solomid or LoL forums. 4. Maxing rocket jump is plain stupid. Explosive shot is for farming ability and rapid fire gives you more dps. What does rocket jump give you?

LMAO, for the record... AP = ability power, not armor penetration I had no idea what you were talking about for the longest time
if you plan on farming/pushing for a while instead of engaging, rocket jump has better creeping and lowered cd

Sorry for mix up. Who would get AP with tris anyway? :O Rocket jump is for escaping not for farming. Explosive shot is much much more better for that.

I know this sounds weird, but of the few Eves I still see, why do none go triforce? The sheen ability works well with hatespike (tiny cooldown), and it would seem to make farming a possibility. The phage ability works well since she stuns, then has one of the highest attack speeds in the game -- multiple chances to get off the slow. The zeal just adds DPS. I'm thinking you build those and boots, then start work on IE, combining to triforce when you run out of slots.
Obviously, Eve is a bad champ, and I'm sure this wouldn't make her good. But why do Eves always go AP?

Interesting. I've been running ignite/exhaust for the solomid 1v1 kills before level 6, I've been getting them pretty consistently even at 400+ win 5 man premade ELOs with just all arm pen marks and flat hp quints. Usually I max explosive shot and jump first because they're so good for those early kills, but I see your point in maxing R>E>Q>W. If you're not going for those early kills you're just going to be taking down towers and jumping lanes for ganks. I'll try it out.
I usually go dorans blade + potion into either 3 blades and boots of some sort or blade/pot into pickaxe/b.f. sword, depending on how much i can farm before I'm forced back/how many kills I get early. Triple blade is nice for the extra 360 hp you get, the damage and the lifesteal help too. I've lived a few times on perfect x-0 streaks because i chose not to sell a blade to get a pickaxe. I usually go Inf. edge into starks or bloodthirster and get the other one soon after, phage into mallet if I feel like it'll get me more kills. Eventually I get them all and a last whisper to round out the build.
I feel like getting attackspeed on tristana early is a waste because of q, though.

Also why do you take 21 points into offense and skip out on the magic pen ability. 25% magic pen is worth WAY more than +3% attackspeed.

I don't think it matters either way, tbh, the gain from 15% on Trist is minimal, too.

well, it's compared to 1% AS anyway (since you could still put the other points in AS if that's how you roll, so you're only missing out on 1 mastery point there). I think you'd be pretty hard pressed to find a hero that doesn't get higher gains off of 15% Mpen over 1% AS...

Right, 15%, but still I think especially for explosive shot it helps because that's DoT too, plus her r skill will get you kills from way far away sometimes and 15% pen helps a lot.

Also I lied about the "I'm still learning trist" part, I just got an uncounted quadra kill :D.
