I like both games, but BW is just so difficult to get into and there is basically no foreign scene/foreigners to root for. ICCup is pretty empty, It takes me sometimes 30 min to get a game because i can't host, and then when you get in you see that even though the game name is D- noobs only the host is D+. I really wish that i had found BW a few years ago . So i will keep playing SC2.
Imo BW PvZ/P and ZvZ is way better, in SC2 for me TvT and TvZ are really good matchups to watch imo. PvZ in SC2 is just terrible to watch . I can understand BW fans being mad at SC2 fans(I remember me being the same with CS 1.6 vs CSS lol), but try to look at things from their perspective..

100 pages and SC2 people still don't get it.
Fuck ESPORTS.

Wasn´t there some thread yesterday with even more rumors? Why did it get deleted?

SNM, could you please update the OP whenever something significant is posted? I don't really want to read through this flamefest to find any new info

Unfortunately all the latest info on this whole ordeal is now hidden in the 100 pages of "my game is better than your game" shit. I'll quote my post from earlier as I also think the OP should be updated since we're being restricted to this thread for the latest sources.

For instance, the Team 8 coach's interview here, (Summarized by rotinegg here)The Fomos and DES/ MBCplus mirror, (Summarized by white_horse here and here) and the newest article the now closed thread was based on here.

I don't know how I missed this earlier. As curious as I am, this sounds like a terrible idea - not that the alternating sets thing won't already make for lower quality BW and SC2 sets.

If it is a general thought that sc2 is worth for viewership, why to do the freaking switch?

Im afraid this will only make BW fans hate SC2 even more and in the end will hurt both scenes (well to be honest it means the death of BW anyway).

Ok, next question, how badly sponsors brains need to be damaged, if they willing to sponsor game that less attractive for viewers? U know, for sponsor viewers equals ROI.

It's way more attractive for sponsors because of the foreign viewers, so foreign sponsorship is a possibility and also Korean companys that also do business outside of Korea.

I know right, wtf is this? I am really disappointed at how Kespa is handling the thing. You know, they should just let the teams absorbs the pre-existing SC2 teams in Korea, keep the two games separated, allow Gom TV to broadcast Brood War so we can hear Tastosis once again doing their thing from the golden days. SC2 fans get to be happy because their games are being exposed to the masses in Korea, BW fans are happy because we got ourselves the Archon back! Everybody fucking wins!
