Hi, I'm Yegwen. I am the founder of Yegalisk TV. Our channel runs weekly tournaments, audience shows, and importantly - Starcraft 2 Academy, which helps the newer and less active players and viewers alike to gain deeper understanding of this beautiful game.
This used to be a polish show, but in my infinite arogance towards the universe I decided to run it all in English, and see how it goes!
It would be awesome if you help me on the way, leave a comment, or tell your friends about the stream. <3
We try to be as close as possible to a regular TV programme, and follow a schedule of shows, which is kept up-to-date at all times, and lets you plan your leisure time better
Mondays - Starcraft 2 Academy & Thank God Its Monday Tuesdays - Yegwen Laddering and learning with the viewers Wednesdays - Weekly Showmatch King of the Hill (details to be announced) Thursdays - day off Fridays - Yegalisk Master Cup (100$) - Yegalisk Master Cup TL Thread Saturdays - day off Sundays - day off
It is ultra-awesome-super-important for me to know what you think. So if you have any thoughts, ideas, feedback or - just want to complain. Shoot! PM me anywhere, or just drop an email to yegalisk.tv@gmail.com
I'm really proud of you Yegwen. You entered the english SCII scene and you are still awesome. I have big pleasure to watch you, your shows and the way you are evolving. The Yegalisk Master Cup is really cool tournament and I hope it (and of course yours charisma and other shows) will give you an international fame. You are my favorite source of StarCraft fun, keep going GL & HF
Yegwen, your cast is superb. I can see you are improving over the last year I watch SC2 regullary. I'm not watching everything you stream, and I'm not enjoying all of your jokes but your laugh makes me laugh. Also I aprreciate that you can fill first minutes of the game by good commentary.
Great Stream. It not only looks nice, but the most important - it has great caster. His commentary is professional and funny at the same time witch improves the experience of watching the sc 2 : )
Firstly I think you have been doing very good job so far. Only thing I"am afraid of is your decreasing number of viewers. Since you switched to english you have no more than 100 ppl watching. Try to advertise yourself better !!
I watched about... 60% of Yegwen's videos on youtube (and there are many of them) at the time he was still broadcasting in polish. It is amazing how the yegalisk tv has develop. During about 2 years it changed from a "standard amateur" videos available on youtube to everyday-more-professional broadcast. Changing into english was a wise decision - i would probably do the same. I just hope Yegwen won't stop all in polish - i think yegalisk tv could be chance to bring e-sports more popular in poland.
In fact: i bought SC2 after watching several videos of "Yegwen uczy Krzycha"("Yegwen teaches Chris"). From many casters I watched on youtube - Yegwen seems to know the most of starcraft, or at least doesn't. And very good style - natural talent, good jokes
What could be better: i would consider more dynamic screen - right now it is just a few links and yegwen's camera. It's good. But i think in between games some repleys(funny moments or greatest battles?) or statistics from just finished games could be displayed. Or some "ladder" of actual yegwen's tournament. But great job guys Keep going, and GL HF
I think your accent works well in your favor but I think sometimes your jokes can be gravitate away from your focus of casting. I would just try to keep the story-telling to a minimum but your humor is very funny. And also, your not ugly! Good looking guy and your confident in your casting so dont down yourself!
Because of Yegwen I started to think seriously about StarCraft, back when he was streaming in Polish. When he changed to English show only gained in value. Nice to watch Yegwen work with JaKaTaK (I'm TheCore user as well as I was doing The Staircase)
First of all, I only know about you for something like a month now, so I am sorry if I say something that is different.
So I like your voice, it is really something different out there, which totally doesn't sound like a native speaker. For me this is really the most awesome thing. Besides, I think you are doing a good job, when it comes to filling out time in the early game(e.g. If it is a total standard game.). You have a nice humor and some good jokes. Also I think that you and TheJaKaTaK do really well together in terms of responding to what the other one said. Your analysis is a bit above the average I think, although TheJaKaTaK's sense for analysis is a little bit better than yours.
If I have anything constructive to say in the future, I will let you know!
Awesome channel, awesomer shows and the awesomest caster :D I hope one day I can do as well as you do right now, already doing my best and it'S thanks to you
Sine i starded watching your stream, i've learned some new strategies and counters. And if you want know, your stream is perfect. Games, News, commentary, everything on profesional level. In my opionion you could just get something like interviev with some casual and profesional players. But it's just a sugestion.
Nice stream, interesting matches and tones of jokes. Thanks for all. Tournament "yegalisk open" for lower leagues was my first really tournament ! Gl in future.
now isnt as bad as i thought just please yegwen dont play live on stream :D It would be better when u will analyze replays etc. Just please DONT PLAY ON STREAM coz its terrible bad :DD
good luck yegwen! If u will make it better and better u can succeed :-)
Holy shit I don't usually listen to casters I don't know of anymore, because I've had too many bad experiences with crap casters. But you're good! You mix in a lot of your own humor, and you're fun to listen to. From what I'm seeing you also have some idea about who the players are and their standard mix of strategies and styles, which is good. Good luck sir.
Nice casting from this guy, not perfect but progressing. I'm watching every single stream of Yegwen and i enjoy it! You should try too! I recommend to start with Yegalisk Pro Cup (Good players, Epic Casting with JaKaTak)!
Well, I started watching Yegwen recently, like a week ago - since then I've watched all HoTS tutorials, and I must say - they are very, very solid. Not all of them include non-standard strategies, BUT - one teaches how to create Your own build orders and stuff :D That is GREAT! And after every match I've seen he explains - why one player won, why other lost, what gone wrong etc. I'm proud that Yeg is trying his skills in casting english - man, don't be discouraged by people who are saying You should get back to casting in polish, You'redoing great job by now ^^ Can't wait till HotS is out
I've been watching Yegwen for about a year now. Transition to English was w big step in his career. At first i thought that it was a mistake but after watching few episodes it came out to be a great idea. I really like watching news flash. That gives me information about changes in SC2 which i find useful as a player. Fluff Corner is a real cherry on a pie. Although it is a very good, prospecting channel i still miss his series "Yegwen uczy *". I bought SC2 after getting some lessons from Yegwen. Thanks a lot for giving us great show and keep going.
i'm watching Yegwen since he was casting with Zergalisk - it is very long time. Can't say, both Yegwen and his show changed a lot. His casting was really professional, as well as tournaments - even tough they were organised by group of people, i felt like watching world-class cups. I think, that transition to English that Yegwen made was one of the best decisions he could made. I was worried, at first, but as I can see, Yeg is doing very well. For me, he's the same as he was casting in Polish - but he's talking in English For u Yeg - keep up good work and never give up. U are very charismatic person - im pretty sure u will soon be more popular other countries than Poland. That's it. I hope you will never change. Stay as the same kind person you are. What should you change? I don't know, for me its too early to say anything, but i think you should stay with SC2, for now at least. Moving DOTA away was good decision. Keep training English. I hope that after HOTS lunch we will see more shows, and i would love to see you laddering Good Luck Yegwen - u deserve success.
I like the quality and the style of comentating and the professionality you have, what I dont like is that sometimes ur talking about things we really don't care and wich shouldn't be spooken on an TV/Stream, what I reallyyyy love is that you don't care about the HATERS and do your dream! thats the way you should it do! respect Yegwen
1. Well - in my opinion you should train English more. Try to remove that ugly accent from your speech. I hate that! Automatic captions does not work as they should because of that.
I just wanted to say that it is really good idea that you started casting with JaKaTaK. After your interview with him I started to watch his shows and started using TheCore and TheStaircase. It was nice surprise for me when you both started casting together. I'm sure your show will get more and more professional and popular. Keep up the good work!!
First of all I wanted to say that I've been watching your show since summer 2012, when you were still casting in polish. I was struck with a distance that you had to yourself and to Starcraft. I started to take part in your games with fans which I really enjoyed. I think you really matched other polish caster - Zedd. You two were a great shoutcasting couple. I hope to see you both ever again, maybe on a big LAN tournament? Then you decided to switch to english. At the beggining I was like "meeeh, I don't think It will work" but then, after some time I said to myself "Well, if he's going to make it, it's going to be a huge success and if not, at least he tried!".
Ok, enought of my brownnosing and tears. What I would like to write in here are all the things that I like and some aspects of your show that I don't like. Let's start with the positive stuff:
1. Distance, humor and the unique atmosphere - When I first visited your show I was amazed by your great contact with the viewers, attitude to Starcraft community by your team and joy that you and your friends had during your streams. Always smiling, funny hobbit, making a show about my favorite game and talking dry jokes - <LIKE IT!>
2. Patience, adulthood and precision - Some casters just turn on their streams and dick around with fans. Some of them just talk about their random thoughts about Starcraft. Many of them insult people, that don't like the stuff they present. You are different. Your every show is quite precised when talking about topic or content. Nearly always, name of the particular show fits to what we see and hear during streams. Besides, you have great patience to all of your little stream trolls and your every show is well organised and planned from start to the end. I find it impressive. Most impressive...
3. Giveaways! - Yes, I am material boy xD Every week you can win a T-shirt and during some ocasions you can get a photo of Yegalisk team with autographs, whis gives you +1000 to respec in your district and +infinity to motivation and will to get better at Starcraft. But seriously, I think giving back to people that watch and support you isn't to be undervalued. --------------------------------------
But our world also has it's darker side and with a little bit of pain I have to write about things that I don't like:
1. Time and frequency of the shows - Your streams are very entertaining to me but what I find disturbing and a little bit annoying is that the shows are not very long and there are not many of them during the week. Everytime I say to myself "It's a good day to watch Yegalisk show" I stop being happy and istead I start being sad, because I know that you have very limited free time that you can spare for being a true nerd, but this is a thing that can't be repaired as I know that you have work and wife to take care of so I think I can forgive you this.
2. Level of knowledge about Starcraft - Well, this one is not to be forgiven. Yegwen I'm sorry, but your knowledge about Starcraft isn't very good. You know basic stuff but I think you need to watch much more pro games and learn from the best to get wider view at the game. Timings, builds, possible solutions and overall game information are the main things that you should work on. Of course I know, that this problem has it's genesis in your lack of time, but I wanted to point this out.
3. Yegalisk Pro Cups and dates - Simple as that; I don't think, that friday evenings are the best possible dates for such tournaments. Even nerds sometimes leave their burrows, especially on friday evenings. I think you should reconsider switching the date of Yeg Pro Cup to get bigger audience.
EDIT (one more thing I wanted to say) 4. Community contacts - I think you could have a better contanct with community itself. Especially that you have a twitter and facebook account. Many casters, players and people connected with e-sports just types their random thoughts about Starcraft few times a day, making people discuss or answer their questions. Let's be honest, you don't tweet that much. And I think tweeter is the best tool in this situation that can improve your contacts with community. Heared about GSL results? Tweet about it! ESL just announced another IEM in Poland? Ask everyone what they think about it! MC said that Zerg is imba? Tell other to share their opinions with you!
I think I covered all the issues that came up to my mind about Yegalisk Show. I wish you the best of luck and I'll keep my fingers crossed!
I have watched many many videos on youtube and many hours of Yegalisk TV's stream. I met Yegwen on Barcraft in Poznań Poland. He is a very positive and ambitious person. Yegalisk TV's team made a very good job and i hope that they will be still doing it. I recommend Cheers
I just started watching your stream and i really like your showmatch VODs in this dark time of no HotS lol. Also your SC academy has been really awesome, i showed it to some of my friends stuck in bronze and 1 of them finally made it out of bronze xD thx for your work!
i just watched a one hour commentary with sage vs beasty showmatch... and after seeing about 6 requests for opinions i decided to write something... ;p i'll start with bad things... 1. correct me if i'm wrong (i just watch youtube movies, not twitch stream), but i see almost zero sc academy content (exceptions: hots preview - custom build, hellbat drop. both of which are 15 videos away from this day). with the end of hots beta and hots launch i belive we could use one or two videos with some isights. i'd advice to make them shorter then 2 hours or smth... ;p half an hours seems ok. on the other hand - ur yt videos are just captured streams... to make something shorter and yet informative u'd have to spend a lot more time to create that video, which may be too much for 1 man to handle;p 2. as one guy stated on youtube - you should interrupt ur american friend less. 3. you still didnt take my last advice into consideration xd
good things: 1. you sound more relaxed when using english then few weeks ago 2. involving jakatak was a good idea - you guys seem to cooperate well
advices / ideas: 1. some content with czarek would be nice. if he is not comfortable with english - make it polish ; ) 2. if something important was said during a video - write it down in description. (for example you should put a link to this forum there) 3. if video is a commentary of a match - add links to those replays in description (if u're casting live game you can always save a replay and upload it somewhere)
one last thing... i dont know where to put it, becouse its not a bad thing and not an idea. just a random comment. you said few times, that you'd like to do something to introduce e-sports in poland to a wider audience. well... by casting in english you wont, becouse most poles cant understand a word in english and if they do - it may be just basic school knowledge and after few years it fades away... i'm not saying, that you should stop casting in english(how could i? ;p) or that i dont like it (i really dont care, since i can understand you perfectly), but in the end u'll have to decide which side of this business you prefer more - local or international. in my opinion, those two exclude each other. it MAY be better for your career( i dont know if its the right word for what u're doing ;] ), becouse people from all over the world will understand you, but at the same time you will make many poles angry (or already did ;p), becouse they wont be able to watch their fav sc2 caster anymore
@Wrathy - thanks for submiting the feedback! Sadly - I won't be going back to polish casting at all. Either I will become one of the best casters around the world or die trying.
I've been happy to stimulate the growth of the Polish SC2 community but I imagine there is plenty space for new talent now!
Since you're a really good Starcraft 2 commentator, I can't say, that your casts have any big flaws, except those:
- Some basic words aren't used properly, for example you use adjectives in the wrong way like "It's the worse harrass ever." or "comming up", but you still speak English very well, considering the fact that you aren't Englishman. - I noticed that you're sometimes interrupting your friend. I can understand it, when something important happens and you're excited about it, but normally you could work on it (I recently noticed that you do :D). - I agree that you've got sense of humor and you're always funny, but don't forget about the game! I like your jokes and your standard quote: "Oopsy daisy!" , but you have to remember, that the game you comment is the most important thing in your cast. - I probably shouldn't even talk about it, but I think that you should watch everything on the map. Of course, you talk about upgrades, buildings, etc., but you should control every harass in the game. I don't say, that you don't move your camera to the place, where some player is harrassed, but in the late game, you sometimes forget about it. It's still not a big flaw, because this kind of things happen VERY rarely.
Those were the flaws, but I haven't told you about your merits yet!
- You put so much of effort into everything you make (Starcraft 2 Academy, Thank God it's Monday, Weekly News, great casts, many livestreams and EVEN MORE?) that I'm more than impressed. Seriously. When I first saw that intro with the mechanic cyber thingy showing some gameplay and the text: "Yegalisk Pro Cup ... Two players - One winner ... Are you ready?" I was like: YES I'M FREAKING READY!!! WOO!!! BRING IT ON!!! - Streaming with JaKaTaK is a very good idea, I can see that you're close friends and you "fill" each other. He is quite calm and tries to be concentrated while you say something funny, start talking about the exceptional strategy of some player and so on. :D You're just a perfect pair! - Every cast you make is unique and this is one of the best things about you. I never know, what joke you will say, what way will the players play and how will you react. - Like I said before, you're really funny (not ridiculous) and your jokes make me smile. I like the fact, that you often check, if someone has seen something, so you can explain his/(her?) behaviour, tactics etc. When you say something, we always know, what's going on and understand the gameplay.
I can honestly say that I enjoy watching your shows as much as Husky's and your weekly news are aweeesome :D So, as your devoted fan I wish you luck and popularity in your career!
I definitely enjoy the stream overall, Yegwen is a very enthusiastic guy and his english is damn good so there's never a problem with comprehension. Even making mistakes Yegwen corrects himself and has a great attitude. Will definitely be watching his casting if I see him live on TL.
Great stream! Found the stream yesterday and i already followed it. A broadcaster with a suit on twitch.tv? I feel like i bought a ticket for this stream
I really enjoy the casting but there is one thing that I think would slightly improve the look of the show. I think that when you transition to just the camera of yourself it's really abrupt and surprising. I'm not saying your bad to look at but when a giant face pops up on my monitor it slightly jolts me. How do I fix that Ramzuz? Easy, you have an overlay that is half taken up by you because I believe seeing the caster really helps viewer connect more with you. The other half has relevant info like all of your social media accounts on top of upcoming events for the stream or what you plan on doing for that broadcast. A good example of this is the overlay that TobiWan has for dota 2 and that looks like this hopefully it helps.
I really like your casting. Your comod has a nice voice too and i ofcourse love that u guys do a giveaway. Thats a nice way to get the people to know you. I wouldnt have checked u guys out otherwise.
One thing that would help would be an overlay so your viewers get to know which player is playing which color and stuff like that. And as other people already pointed out put your cam a bit more away from your face.
/edit looks like u guys fixed that already. good job
Gr8 stream i rly enjoy it hes gr8 caster he know many jokes like why pirates are called pirates? becouse they are :D so plz if u read it check his stream or yt channel and make ur eye shinining from his !@#$@$ ;d
Well everything is good and I really learned a lot from yegwen's channel. Please broadcast more pro gamer games. Sorry for bad english. More power Yegwen!
The fillers you use are really good and flow nicely with the game, keep it up. You could provide a little more insight on what players are opting to do, but you'll get that over time. Overall REALLY good stream
Hello! I've only seen the series between Snute and Goody, so that's what I will leave feedback on.
You have good pronounciation, obviously some accent but it's no biggie. It's easy to hear and understand what you're saying.
Nice game knowledge, as well as knowledge of the players. It makes up for somewhat of a storyline, even for these online matches.
I think your synergy with your co-caster isn't the best, several times you kind of interrupt each other. However it could also be worse, as you a very important thing which is to follow what the other one is saying and keep the same train of thought. Also make sure to synch microphone volume, your volume was lower than your co-casters.
I got ads while the games were going on. It's very annoying and is one thing that will make me and others shut down the stream. Just take longer breaks instead, I'll gladly wait for 1 more minute. I like how you get straight into the game instead of talking behind an overlay before the game. Some more afterthought after the games would be good though.
I like the showmatch format, Bo9 (as IPL FC has proven) is very nice and gives room for comebacks. You did a great job advertising this, especially with the HotS copies.
Oh, and your observing is great! Always showing what's relevant, and good eye on the production tab.
Hope to see more showmatches and tournaments with you casting Yegwen. Also hope that I get a copy of HotS, seeing as I'm a biiiig SC2 fan with no money atm it would be wonderful!
Cheers!
*edit* Also you overlay could use some work. A banner saying what's going on would be good. And you can move the camera a bit further back, while you have a nice face it just gets soooooo big! :D
One minor nitpick would be the audio, your co-caster seems noticeably louder than you and a little distorted. Dont really know much about audio details so i wouldnt know how to fix it, in any case its not hurting my ears or anything.
I just found your channel and looks great so far. Especially that you don't only cast cups like most caster do but also try to provide more for the community with your academy and laddering/learning shows. Will definitely check them out later and hope you stay motivated and keep casting that enthusiastically
A very professional caster, would definitely recommend watching him cast games not only for his style of commentating but as well as for all of the humor involved :D.
Hello, I have watched now 4 of your shows so far and will give you some feedback.
You seem to be a funny guy (also like it when streamers have stories to tell) and your accent is fine too for me, I find that personable. You could however introduce your co-caster better, I still don't really know who he is, and his voice transmission quality is not too high sadly although I guess you cannot do much about it.
Oh yeah, maybe you can also do some discussion after games where you try to analyse a bit, to fill the breaks
Otherwise I am happy with the stream quality etc. and looking forward to what will come in the future shows
I think you shouldnt try too hard to make some jokes during your cast, when u go for like 10jokes per game in my opinion you lose professionality. Casting games is somehow compareable to casting news and there they focus on news -at least they should- instead of showing off themselfs. So if you focus more on the particular games you should do great.
Maybe you could do some little aftermatch commentating as well because these breaks between games where NOTHING happens are really annoying.
Very pleasant caster i learned so much for his streams... climbed up from gold to diamond at the columns of his channel. Very nice matches with awesome cast, he is doing his own tournaments and learn his audience soo much but he explains everything too much it isnt nice imo.
Very good cast, and i dont know why people dont like your jokes. In my opinion this give you a more friendly atmosphere. I have hope you will get more vievers in the future time. Good Luck!
Nice stream! I feel like the pauses after a match are to abrupt, maybe you could keep something running while waiting for the next match. Starcrafts episodes, replays from the last match commented by someone, or just talk about the last match. (I'm talking about the game hosting screen, it somehow puts me off... maybe add more visual information about the series that is just taking place... like for example "Snute vs Goody Game 2 in just a moment" taking up a majority of the stream if you really need the "quiet time" in between matches)
Since I posted my original feedback in the wrong thread (duh) I expanded a bit on it and put it in a slightly better format.
Casters:
Is your stream always with 2 casters or is that just for the giveaway week? This isn't clear to me and relates to some of the points I make here
* Good english, clear voice (a bit orcish at times ) * with 2 (or more casters) I feel they all should be visible via webcam (or at least a picture.) It's nice knowing the faces behind the voices * dry humour and good chat interaction - I like. * There don't seem to be clear pbp/analytical casters, everyone does everything. I don't mind, the "chemistry" works for me, others might feel different. That being said, i feel like the amount of talking over each other has gone down already, so that's good. * In general the cast seems to be mostly play-by-play. For me that's fine since I don't watch tournaments to learn stuff but to be entertained. If you want to focus more on analytical stuff you might want to consider applying clear roles to the casters. * Having the casters webcam on stream during the games feels kinda wierd at first, could offer some hilarious screenshot possibilities though * You hype up HotS a LOT (best game 2013 etc.). While it seems a bit much at times it shows your excitement, so not really going to complain about that
Channel layout:
* Until twitch completely switches you should maybe link to the beta layout directly when posting on TL etc. * I like the general idea of the layout, clean and simple. I'd clean it up even more though: I don't know how much you can do in twitchs layout, but it'd be nice if all the header graphics were properly aligned. Atm e.g. YOUTUBE DOTA2 and YOUTUBE SC2 are at different heights for me. I'd replace the current banner graphics for youtube, twitter & facebook with smaller graphics (or just plain links) and put them all under one banner ("links", "follow us" or something like that). * I really like that you have an offline-screen that shows useful information.
Production:
* In general no complaints. There are some minor things (downtime without music, co-casters with bad mics) but those are probably obvious to you and easily fixable * From what I saw in chat people were sometimes getting ads at wierd times. Do you use stream delay? If so you might take that into consideration, I'd guess the delay doesn't count for ads * Nice and clean overlay, I like * I like the music, always good to have channels that aren't all wobblestep * With more time you might want to look into customizing your spectator UI, if you do I'll happily give my opinion about that, too * There was some filler content in the form of SC2/Esports news. Really good thing to have, expand on that. Maybe try to get some known content in there (I love Carbot, so... ). Every second the viewer spends on something happening is a win for your channel. * Solid prizepool * Enjoyable choice of players * Having an english and polish stream is great, expand on that if possible * I think raffles could be handled better. Having the raffle at the end of the stream every time isn't that good of an idea because it promotes just running the stream in the background and checking every couple of minutes if the score is close to a win (and only then tuning in). I'd also advise you to have the winner message you within a couple of minutes to avoid people just running the stream in the background without paying attention. * In addition to that: You don't show the roll itself (i.e. having a screen region for that twitch app). While I don't doubt you rolling that giveaway fair and honest, seeing it just adds that little bit of excitement (and people don't have to ask "who won?" all the time) * I originally complained about to much mod spam but this seems to have already gone down, so thumbs up for that * I think you could add quality with some custom made graphics (e.g. for showmatches) that are easy to edit. Have someone create a "background" in GIMP (since its freeware and really good) where you yourself could just change portraits and names in a couple of minutes. So before/during the match you'd have something like this, just better looking: https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR-gZRtbR4aENBb92iMtNuCaHBaRW7gv16TR2ixMf0vDAtnQeUt * (So far I've only seen the showmatch week so I can't really comment on your regular shows, what I can say though is that I like you pushing almost daily content on regular schedule.)
TL;DR Improvements possible, will watch again though :D
Overall another good broadcast! I do wish it was a bit more newb friendly. I don't understand counters and things yet so if you could say, they have this and this a great counter would be to make blah blah. That would be great. ^_^
I really like the stream. This is my first time watching, but I feel like I'll be a regular viewer.
One thing I have to say(and this may just be a preference) is that I feel the observing could be a bit more proactive. I see a lot of visual downtime that could be better used switching around the map. Sometimes I can see a clump of units not necessarily doing anything interesting, but it would still be nice to see the composition. Looking over queen, nexus, CC energy, mineral saturation, etc.
Been watching since Goody vs Snute, you are doing great. Allow me to quote Joeepi, if there's one thing you can improve it's your observing skills: if you rewatch the last game of Dima vs Sage you'll realise that many of Sage's moves that "didn't make sense" were actually good decisions. You couldn't realise it because you were watching somewhere else!
But I'm pretty sure that you cast and observe at the same time, so you don't live the easy life of the casters who have an indipendent obs Also I'm just nitpicking the "bad" sides, because anything else is more than fine. gj guys
I've enjoyed the show a lot, although I believe that Bo9 is a bit too much, for viewers AND players. Maybe do Bo5 or Bo7 regularly and a Bo9 for the best players of the week/month?
You should change boardscore every game , look on map when you're focused on commenting and add intros and outros (that will be more professional). On my 24' monitor screen of the stream isn't clear (15mb donwload).
Eventough you say you are new to casting your casting shows otherwise :D Your casting is relaxed which reflects on the atmosphere as well ! I have great time watching the stream, learning new stuff about HOTS also having a laugh with your creative on the spot jokes Haven't missed a live showmatch yet and will make sure I do not miss one because every second spend on the stream is a worth it! Wish you develope into a really well-known caster. And maybe some day we'll see you on IEM :D
Yeg I think the key to be good commentator of any kind of sport events is to be very emotional. If you will be more expressive you will be more natural, more interesting. Of course knowledge is also a very important thing so every biuld order should be in your mind. And you should talk more about small things like droning or possible builds at the start. So that is my advice for today you are doing very good job. Greetings
I think you should get a co-caster, might make the casting a bit more lively.
Also find out what the hot key is to hide the UI and use it during a big fight so we see more.
You also talk too much what's happening on the screen and not enough about what's going on "behind the scenes" so to speak. For example, Nerchio was going for ultra tech and you could see it from the production bar, but you didn't comment on it at all. You talked about ultras only after nerchio had already spawned them and was fighting with them "here comes ultras". As a viewer I can see myself he got ultras, you don't need to tell that when they are already on the screen. Comment on it when he is going for the tech, or maybe even predict what tech he is gonna do next. As a summary; too much play-by-play commentating from you.
I enjoyed your cast, especially the longer showmatches. But when you explained that you wanted to become a proffesionel caster, i got a bit worried. First of all, you've got a weakness with your english against natural english speakers. So in official matches such as mlg etc. i see this as a problem. Could change in the future with practice though.
Also , when you said you wanted to be a proffesionel caster, i became a bit confused. Up until now, i've been of the impression that casters try to copy the already successful casters. And often you can feel that, the copying. Not with you though.I didnt feel any copying, you had your own humour and i didn't found anything annoying in your cast. I think your strength is your humour and insight to the game. You do understand the game on a higher level, which is good. Trying to say things, and focus on things you dont reall like focussing on, will feel unnatural. So I suggest you just cast and cast and do what you feel like, say what you want, and focus on what you want. To get your own style.
But if you really really want to get a pro, then i'd suggest you'll tone down the funny remarks. as they take up time, and use up space for more important observations. So balance jokes to be for the 'downtime' part in the game, and in action situations focus more on stratetic implications.
You're almost ok, but stop using language like "lucky bastard" or "sneaky sausage" and and tell less stories of a lucky zegrlings that survived and are happy and blah blah blah...
Should have put in a rule or something lol, it's almost comical how many <5 post people there are :|
But I suppose it's possible that they're preexisting fans who registered with TL for the contest.
I appreciate the cool showmatches you've put on, but just be wary in terms of professional caster that people tend to be mean toward casters whose first language isn't English and have a noticeable/strong accent, like a poster above stated.
I like your twitch. you speack nice so everyone understand you. The only bad thing for me is the sound : the sound of casters, the sound of the game AND the music of the game, is too much. Cut the music of the game, it will be better to don't have our ears submerge by too much sound at the same time. Except that ... Continue like that.
Good stream and both casters are engaging when explaning what is happening. The only thing I could think of is that I prefer when casters talk about strategy and what the player can and might do with their build etc. I like when you explain to me strategies and what the other player can do to counter the opponent. Maybe it requires a great deal of knowledge about the game but otherwise really nice stream.
Everyone who is interested in SC2 should be watching Yegwen Hes a good entertaining streamer with good insight. Perfect for everyone who wants to learn the game. Thanks for doing this Yegwen
In my opinion the show is pretty good. What I find you missing there is a text message who do you cast a show with. It would help some people to decide to watch a show or not. These issues are also important, as well as gamers playing in the particular show.
What I personally like in esport casters is not only presenting how things go, but also giving their own opinions, explaing what has just happened. It would help me and other viewers who dont recognize the game so much
As im an pretty unexperienced Sc2 player i really enjoy the Yegwen stream. I think the two commentators synergise very well and they really let you get into the heads of the players aswell a runtrough of the current builds that is being played.
A thing to work on might be to build up the "climax" moments, comparing with other streams such as dapollo i think he does a great job calling whenever something big is about to happend. I think youre doing an OK job with that but it might be a good way to improve the stream and get more subscribers.
I have some feedback for the stream. I noticed a couple maps you were locked in on panda's base while action was happening on TLO's third expansion. Just be careful to watch for the white highlights that pop up so you can lock in on the action when it happens. It gets frustrating for viewers when they can't see the action. Otherwise, an amazing show match. Best one I've seen in a while.
Love the casting of the games so far. Just something that's lacking is that you're not observing the minimap enough, which leads to missing out of some action. Otherwise, great casting of the games.
I'm new to the stream, but I have to say I was immediately impressed by the quality of games you have going on. I can't offer much input on the commentary because I'm terrible at SC2, but that orc voice was pretty awesome. I look forward watching some more.
Nice casting; i dont watch many channel on twitch (only the good ones :3), yours is great keep up the good work, just needs some ladder feedback and that will be all.
Yegwen I am really impressed how you change your casting. First time when I saw you, yuo had only 160 viewers. Now 10 times more. It's amazing. You have your own studio. Yes I remember czajling And you started casting in english. My first though was that it is crazy that we should support our own scene, but when I am seeing this it is AMAZING! Now I can see that we are very big family who simply loves SC. We are speaking in different languages, we are from other countries. But we have one passion. And you are this one who cumulate us from all over the world. Thank you for this! GL! HF! GG!
P.S. Of course in my opinion there are some small drawbacks but my post about it is somewhere here.
I've enjoyed your stream so far, I've been watching while at work everyday its been going on. A few things I've noticed that could be done better, most of the time you and your partner are at different volume levels, this is extremely annoying, especially when I'm trying to keep the sound away from my boss at work and I'm constantly playing with the volume based on who's talking (haha). The only other thing, which I'm sure your aware of, is one time your other caster was casting while watching your stream himself instead of being in the game. this was a big no-no, and created a good 6-7 seconds delay for him, so he was far behind the action. I think you guys noticed this however and corrected it. Other then that, keep up the good work, and I'll continue to watch and show my support!
You wonder where something is building, well in the production tab you can click on the box on where its building and it automatically puts it on that building
In terms of feedback, i'm liking the show so far. The only issues i've had is occasional lag (but that could be twitch) and the bitrate seems a little low on 720p+
Maybe a bit more predicting the builds, explaining why they are building what they are building for the less experienced viewers.
It's really fun. I love the accent, the pleasant demeanor, all of it. The ONLY thing I can find fault in is how excited you get. Or don't perhaps. Get jacked man! When WhiteRa's Oracle survives with 8 health get amped! I'm subbed. I look forward to more content.
TY Yegwen, your events with Showmatches in HOTS are awesome. So many fantastic games, and also very good english commentary. Very easy to understand for person which english isnt native language
Was really nice casting mate Don't try to copy the beggining of the game from others streamers, think about soething which will identify you I think it should be better. Nice emotions on the stream, also the jokes are good ) Give it a time and you can achieve what you want. Good luck. I really enjoyed your last 4 matches because I could't watch all of the SMs unfortunatelly GL Again. Also nice to have someone like your wife who is supporting you and helps you with social media whn you are streaming. Can you add 480p stream aswell? I got laggy stream, only video not the audio but I could switch only to 360p which is really shitty quality 480p is enough to watch when 720p is lagging.
EDIT: Really nice you are thinking about comunity. Questions and so on. It's really good, becasue ppl canask you about game, you and they won't think they are on stream just to watch. They will learn smth and they will enjoy the way you do it. Many casters are like turn the stream on, turn the stream off without anything. You are the other one. You care.
Keep up the good work. Really nice stream I EnjoYed it
Thx again for this great evening I told you allready on Facebook: Dont use the SC2 picture in background. Take this great libary feeling Looks more familar.
Also would be great, if you select sometimes the "playerview" to check what the player can see
I LOVE THIS GUY! Best way to spend your evening is to go and watch his stream! Can compare him with a comic show but gaming comic show which is 10 times better. Keep up the good work man and I'm sure that in the not so distant future you'll get atleast 4-5k views every night. Hope to see you in MLG and IEM sometimes.
First:great job, I enjoy watching your streams. Actually I made twitch account becouse of you(and also twitter account)
So maybe "in points": - about overlay: some info about players (SC2race, foto, country, age...) - at the time game is being hosted, during loading screen - so that you can see not only progress bar and player's game portrait but also some info about him. - players portraits during game (or cameras like in MLG, but portraits will be just enough, and will not slow the stream) - caster/co-caster camera - I would add co-caster camera or resign from caster camera, not sure what better. - caster camera - I saw it doesnt exactly fit - little to wide, little to short - use Bonnie - i guess in any SC2 tournament some women is a must...
-little improvements in "production stuff" - I see often show doesn't start on time, I mean stream does, but it's awaiting for "technical difficulties" (long battle net login or any other). During that time you could have more different "static screens" (right now there is this one with info about giveaways) - some changing wallpapers from starcraft, or maybe CARBOT animations? or parts of them (like the "killer" movie in Yegwen uczy Krzycha series)
About some ideas (I am sure you have many of them on your own, but anyway): -Maybe some new/modified show, titled "who is imba/who is OP/race of choice" - where there will be only 3 players playing, every of them different race... -Maybe some 2v2 shows? I dont see it much on the Net. -Maybe some micro tournaments? (there was a SC2 map for this, i dont remember the name).
Some ideas about audience involvment: -About maps players are playing: how about making a poll on which maps players are playing? -About encouraging to feedback you: giveaways is great idea but little expensive... maybe as a reward for giving you feedback you can give a chance to participate in a game as a spectator? - this might not work, but idea like "Forced unit poll" - as a result players have to produce at last one unit chosen by the voters
Ok, I am watching the showmatch right now, and I think you do an excellent job considering I have never heard of you before I have insta-followed you on twitch, hope there are more showmatches to come
Try contacting ProCpu.pl - they have amazing choice of mechanical keyboards, mice, Fnatic, MLG and EG mousepads - but as far as I can tell - almost no presence outside of their page. They don't even come up when googling for klawiatury mechaniczne Polska and similar.
They need some presence, you presumably need some sponsors. A match made in heaven ;-)
Also - Nathanias is looking for people to co cast with, might be worth trying out.
You're already doing an amazing job, you are working on you're ingame knowledge, and you're english is very good !!
On a sidenote try to explain why they build a certain unit, why they rush a 3rd base etc. A lot of new players like this feedback during a showmatch very much since they will learn a lot and also will keep watching your stream for amazing games, and the learning curve for them .
other then that love to watch your stream and keep it going !!!

Yeah, he is pretty good.
Just need to work on tracking the mini map activities and smoother camera movement. Oh, and try not to repeat the same phrases often (e.g. 'lings killing everything left and right')
I think you guys are doing a fantastic job. I know you guys will continue to grow and even be more popular if you keep this up. But i would like you guys to get comfortable with each other. Try making some jokes or something, I feel like there are like two seconds wasted when one person is finished talking, and leaves the cue for the other person to cast. I would also like it if you guys were make some modern jokes like Tastetosis, they are like best friends. The bond between them is so special, I would like for you guys to have that bond too. You guys could also make things more exciting by shouting even more and yelling at the HUGE plays. But at the end of they day, you guys are fantastic, you guys love what you are doing, Keep on the good work guys! Sincerely, One of your fans
Enjoying the White-Ra vs TLO cast! I know strategies are still evolving in HotS and it may be tough to predict what someone is doing, but one suggestion I have would be to talk strategy more. I feel like I'm just watching a play by play of the fights (which is fine), but what I really enjoy about the casters that stand out is their ability to explain why a player is making the decisions they are making earlier in the game. And I don't just mean, oh he's walling off his natural so he can quickly expand. I find during the teching phases of a game, it felt like you were giving filler talk until something more exciting happend, instead of some more strategic talk.
Anyways, like I said, my first time watching your stream, so this may not be a recurring issue! Thanks for the casts!
these are just points I came up with, do whatever you like with it, but I was thinking let me just see how I would improve a stream if I had one. So good luck and best wished. RuleMaker (twitch Rulem4ker)
Points of feedback for YegWen steam
Stream general improvements: The breaks between games are a time limited break, here for its nice to put like a countdown in the break screen. And maybe a music song that can be like “your” own tune to the stream. Making it recognizable and giving your stream your own signature.
Also in the break your viewers here your ingame sound and yesterday after the stream the co-caster already asked if he could speak free already and all stream heard it. Also with the adding of your own music this problem can be helped.
A lot of professional players got a own screen adding to give the stream a own signature. Like EG IdrA. his menu and minimap is all build in a frame. make a own frame to give the stream your own signature. Next I show you a example(sorry not possible, can't put inmages in a post as a new user of this forum). This is a possible adding, there is a downside on this depending on the stream program you are using, because if and when you want to hide mini-map and all there will be a open gap wide up and the adding will still be shown. But I don’t know what your using for streaming software, but this is just a possible idea.
Also besides that your streaming page is kinda empty at the moment. the information under the stream where you can put information about the stream and streamer and like chat rules.
(even on the new twitch.tv design this information is empty) possibly tell something about you in person and about chat rules and donation system and all the social media (twiter,fb, youtube). Also the background is like the basic twitch.tv background, find something you like and you can use as a signature to make the stream and the site your own.
Game spactate improvements: When specating a game try switching the tabs in the upper left corner frequently, most times we can see production, but in different scenario’s witch happens ingame you can add different tabs to give more information and better analyzing of the game.
Scenerio’s can be done for example like this:
Early game most games begin with the same basic openings, during this part of the game you can show APM and pretty much the production and income. During this period of the game you already do a good introduction of the players with I like, but maybe you can tell something more about them like there league, with server they play and if you got information about there general game you can share… just some possibility’s. I don’t know if you spend very much time in preparation, so far I think your doing a great job already but sometimes some additional information spices things up a bit.
Mid game you can add information like how the army is build up, is it gas of mineral heavy. What are the general income, APM during actions, units lost(workers lost), recourses lost and compare the total amount of resources that are spent on tech and units, and of course the normal production tab. During this time of the game there is most likely lots of action and the very strong players can go for duo or triple pronged attacked, if this happens try switching for location to location. During mid game you are enthusiast and precise which is good so on that just keep up the good work ^^
Most end game scenario’s are about mustering to max and attack or teching up. During this show information about the recourses spend in units and tech. and army composition, also I like to see the APM during battles just swapped short times. End game I also feel like production tab not the most interesting but the units owned by the players, and the stuff I called before.
Improvements for the future Maybe with the upcoming events in April you can also replay game changing moments after the games are done. And adjusting the break screen what you show before the stream and during breaks into a schedule for today and upcoming days. What games are on the program for the upcoming days and maybe a bracket of the progress in the tournaments.
Giveaway related improvements People wanted to see the screen of the random name picking. Also a clear set of rules would make the viewers easy going on it. Like only the active viewers have a chance of winning, not just a random name out off all people who turned on the stream.
How to make a acive giveaway system. There are different ways to do this. - People can enter by typing a keyword with will be registered, and out of the people who entered there will be one randomly selected. - And ask for conformation within a set time limit like 2 min. Viewers should acknowledge if they want the price or not. (frequently it happens that a viewers by accample already got HOTS or a other giveaway and they don’t need another. It can happened that they tell you to random someone else again. In that case everything can start over.
- And of course that people should follow your stream is a good idea to promote your stream.
In general, I think your doing a great job on starting a stream up and man I’m just jealous about it. The contacts you got are probably very usefull and supporting. Two years ago I tried to set up my own stream but I chould make it work because it was a solo project and well, I’m just a student with well some very bad internet when it comes to uploading…
I wish you best of luck and good streaming,
greeting from the netherlands RuleMaker (twitch Rulem4ker)
I have to say that you put in a lot of great effort! The last few days, I came to and almost always saw a showmatch you casted Great Job by doing this. It is really nice to chill out from a work day and see some casual games where sometimes new strategies appear because there is no tournament-life on the line for a player.
Some feedback: Pros: - Please dont lose your accent! I really like when a foreigner to the english language has a big enough knowledge of the language to speak it fluently while keeping an accent like yours! It adds a unique touch to it! - Casts with guests/ co-casters are always nice to have - The balance between funny remarks and game knowledge is how i like my casts. - The observing is also really nice - As a polish caster, you might actually have some "inside" information on players from eastern europe, or maybe some andecdotes about the polish scene - I like your facial expressions (e.g. the "tie" in game 9 between white-ra and TLO :D) - The viewer participation is funny as well^^
Cons: - So far, there has been nothing that really annoys me enought to post it here.
Some ideas for futere casts: - I am not sure if its possible, but maybe you could get some player interviews in between the games, or after the games - Extend viewer participation; maybe with a 4v4 with you and your co-caster and viewers.
All in all, I will keep on watching. As soon as I find something negative I can put my finger on, I will let you know.
He's having fun casting, which is good. That's a gift not many others have.
1. Make sure you're REF over other observers. 2. Maybe cast is little to loose(as, less words per min compare to other formidable casters) between battles. ask co-caster to fill up vacant spaces between phrases while you're looking at the mini-map trying to figure out what else is going on.(or work on filler phrases?) 4. I see that you're cutting other caster when major event is happening, which is GOOD. However, make sure you let the other caster know that you're cutting(phrases like hold that thought) since it only kills other caster's future casting, making the co-caster unsure of when to go in and out, and hence total casting quality.

would be very surprised to see him as an official caster at a large tournament. he needs to work on his accent and grammar as no large tournament providing their main streams in english would hire somebody whos awkward to listen to. this is not meant as an insult but if you think about it no american sports program would have a foreigner with strong accent and bad grammar commentate the superbowl. a polish stream providing tournament coverage is way more likely to be permited by larger events

What about the great guy from your region - Khaldor?
Of cours that its more work for us to get better with grammar and wording, but if anything - that even gives more motivation for hard work!

yes nevertheless that takes time and until it sets in you will most likely not be hired as a main caster for a big tourney
Your thread says: ."The winners of the subscribers & people who submit their feedback key will be announced during the show on 18th of March 2013, around 23:00 CET (+01:00)" From what I can tell none of those happened and the only information was "will happen later this week." Giving free stuff is cool and all that, but you should stick to your deadlines (or at least give a good reason for delays, update threads, etc.) Right now it just looks unprofessional and not really honest. Maybe there are reasons (didn't reach the expected amount of followers, not enough time or something) but these should be communicated clearly and (if possible) in advance.
Hi I am very happy that people like you exists. Actually I ve never played Starcraft II or any other starcraft game but I ve started watch sc2 streams like 6 months ago and everything I know about it I know thanks to you and other casters.
From the start it was like "What the hell?? So many colours I have no idea whats going on right now..." but I ve got some knowledges from casters who says something about this game.
You are doing great job for community aswell. Due to your work people like me are willing to watch sc2 and have talks about sc2 with friends witch is nothing else than increasing community Big plus for your warcraft emotions I like casters like you... its more funny and you can enjoy the show with additional moments.
It would be cool if you updated stream's info for the next date, not for previous Today it says "Tonight! - Yegalisk Master Cup! 19:00 CET", but there's nothing on it
Yegwen i've only watched a few YT vids by you and its led to my going out to get sc2 and wanting to learn more of sc2 because your videos on YT are very good especially the academy series so i hope you keep that series going ^^ your twitch casts help alot honestly in keeping my interest in playing sc2 hence why i bought sc2 wol...for now until i get better at the game then hopefully HoTS since there's alot to learn. I think personally your videos help make things easier to learn...didn't watch the polish vids but just an inkling that your enthusiasm and ability to explain everything in great detail helps to make the learning curve look so much more achievable like the video of where you showed the bookmarks for micro and macro exercises...it's like words of the wise with explanation which i feel is the difference to those that just say do this or do that only. needless to say it's earned another subscriber to your channels on YT and twitch ^^ thank you hope your videos will make me an ok player at least ^^ Peons FTW (it'll be fun to hear you sing with the ork voice hehe :p )
To be honest , i started to watch your stream only for the HotS copy. But when i saw you casting the games in such a funny way that i always started to watch it . What you're doing is great . And i hope that you will be a professional caster soon . To be honest i would you guys to do more Yegwen Cups with 64 players . I want that because we can all watch professional players in their own streams . But in cups designed by you we can find about new players and its really fun to watch new player , new ideas . I hope you will read my feedback have a good day !
The stream is just awesome. Friend sent me the stream and it's the first time I watched your stream and the games of the showmatch are great. I hope so see some more great showmatchs <3. Thanks for the stream.
So far, I have really liked watching you cast the games. The combination of you and Jakatak provides a combination of fun and good game knowledge, however here are some things that you could do to improve your casting.
- Please try to use the tabs more to try to facilitate what is happening currently in the game. It is sometimes frustrating to not be able to see what was the result after a big battle or after a harassment. Utilizing the tabs more will allow you to use less words to try to explain what went on and let the statistics tell us for you. I feel like most of the time you just try to talk out what happened and that is not very effective
- Cast more! Some viewers that I saw during the streaming were saying that you were hard to understand or that some of your words were kind of garbled. However, speaking from experience as someone who studies English as a foreign language myself that the more you cast the better your English will be. It is already a lot more clear than when I first listened to your youtube video.
- Have more fun events with your twitch followers by playing like subscriber saturdays with them or doing more custom games and team games with the community in your spare time. This, I think would greatly help with your connection with the viewers to move beyond people just hunting for a free copy of hots.
Other than these things, as stated before, I think that you are doing a great job and the investment that you are putting into this community will greatly help it. Keep up the good work Yegwen!
Thanks for this stream - Yegwen's positivity is really great, and he's marching on the way to English GM
I really enjoy Jakatak as co-caster. Jacques, your wit is a great addition. One area for improvement IMHO - you often sound quiet/bored/monotone. If you could match Yegwen's enthusiasm in your voice, that'd take your casting to the next level.
Also, a point of general feedback - it would be great if you could include more "concrete" content in your casting. By that I mean... for whoever of the two is doing high-level strategy: describing possible strategies as soon as they're developing. Whoever's got the play-by-play side: catch more details. Yegwen seems to go a good job at this, but still misses things. (eg. Staying too long on one player... missing the BC transition until after the Fusion Core was done in Goody vs Dimaga just now.)
I love your showmatches mate, and i really love and appreciate the effort that you put into your english casts. It's nice that you feature less known casters or people new to casting, like jakatak, though my only concern is that i barely heard jakatak during your last cast of Goody vs Dimaga, it would be cool if you like gave jakatak questions, or have him talk a little more, it would make your casts a bit more dynamic. Other than that your solo casts are awesome, and the entertainment you bring to the table is well appreciated .
P.S: Do you fund these by yourself?? If so you are awesome, else you are awesome anyways <3
Thanks for all feedback guys! They are not my smurf accounts, just people encouraged to drop some thoughts that would've probably not joined TL otherwise
As for the prizes and HotS copies - yes, this is out of our own pocket. We are a group of people that are very passionate about e-sports - and if we can give something in to the community - we do it with pleasure!
I must say "Thank You Yegwen" at least twice. When I was deciding to buy SC2 or not, Your coach session with Krzychu was one of the most decisive argument. Somehow, your YouTube archives mobilized me to pay 200 złoty and after first half dozen of losses to not give up. Now I'm trying to persuade my classmates to toss away LoL and rejoice in this beatuful game but no one wants to pay so much. However one of them(of those who wants to play SC2) have birthday at 5th April, so maybe if I'll be very random person, I would give him at least HotS? And btw, could you post a date of stream when match was played in youtube movies' description?
PS: Could you try to comment one whole show with Peon's voice? As 1st April special or sth like that?
By the way, you could consider giving away key at random time during stream, not that the end. Amount of viewers spikes at the end usually as people ask friends to join for a second and increase their chances.
I really like to watch your stream, its very professional and fun sometimes. I like guides on your YouTube channel. When i started to play StarCraft II Wings of Liberty, yours "Szkoła Terrana" helped me a lot !!! I learned alot of things from this series. Thanks!!!
Feedback: Game 4 with TLO vs Hasu - Around 17 minutes you missed the action going in in TLO's base. Hasu was dropping and doing damage but you guys missed the damage on the Lair hence why it was low on HP and the game was closer than you guys thought
Edit: Amazing casting during game 5. That was really enjoyable!
I love your stream! I don't think you can improve much, but I will make one suggestion: It would be great if you could play some good music during the waiting times before matches start. If at all possible 1080p would be appreciated as well. Thank you <3
Yeg, you doing awesome job as a caster, and i have big fun to watch you. However, you can improve few things - Sometimes it will be awesome, if you stop be a caster, and play with your viewers in starcraft 2 (Mono battles, 4v4, or some arcade stuff) - You could join more epic tournamets, for bigger prize - You could do your own tournament every month - When you waiting for game (in break) you can review replay of previous match, and show us good tactic, mistakes, or genius strategies (just analyze) - You can do your own forum, where we can post something, but i think it's not necessary at all (there's a lof of sc2 forums) - It will be awesome, if you do interview with some greatest players, like Nerchio for example ( i saw you did that, but in Polish) - You could back with your training episodes with your wife : ) Yeah, that's all for now, if i get something intresting i'll post you, i hope you read those, and reply, or just apply some of my ideas :D btw, don't stop casting, you're awesome
The only thing I noticed that could be fixed - try to show us hp bars of units more often, especially during those little early game encounters when each single unit is so crucial. Cheers, great stuff. Going to come back for more.
Yegwen, the show is great, but something is missing... The players are only a nicknames, nothing more. I'm sure the world want to know more about them. Let your show be different than others - think about something like small interview before or after each match. You could for example pose them a challenge before match... randomly select a strategy or rush for randomly selected game? Or something like that?
Is there a chance you will ever make some kind of teaching show streams additionally to your current showmatches and the Yegalisk Cup? I like watching your current streams, but I find it difficult to learn a lot from the games I see still without more detailed explanation (I just started to play lately myself and am only Gold league yet).
Yegwen you get one of the main points of casting - getting excited yourself to get viewers excited. But. Your excitement should be different from the excitement of the viewers. You are a professional. Things that excite you should be deeper, than what a regular viewer sees. "You thought it would be like 20 workers lost, but that's only 3. WOW" - that's not a professional's excitement.
I don't know what to suggest. You are doing good, keep it up. Try to dig deeper into the thought process of caster vs thought process of viewer. Being a good viewer does not equal being a good caster.
