For me Artosis/Chill is the best team but they're all good.

Artosis is the nice middleground between those two types so he's probably my favorite.

I remember listening to the TvZ mech liquipedia podcast with Artosis, Idra and Day, and Day was way outclassed in terms of knowledge about biomech builds, valkonic, etc. I've listened to a few of his daily shows and while I'm sure some people can't think reasonably about starcraft and find it useful, he doesn't say anything that profound, but he sure takes a long time to say it. if you're trying to get better at starcraft, watch your own replays to see where you fucked up, watch pro replays, practice your mechanics over and over again; the vague ideas he talks about in his show don't make you any better. That said, this TSL commentary has been good overall though I hope for the return of Artosis/Chill. ... You do realize Day is a Zerg player, right? He doesn't have to chime in on a race Artosis and IdrA have been playing to a T. You made one good point: Day never gets right to the point and he'll go on many different tangents. I'd argue his analogies add spice and flavor to each cast he does. Consequently, it helps those who are absolutely unfamiliar with Starcraft understand.

Oh how I miss the days when tasteless casted like that, he made every game epic, no matter how dull it was. I honestly got goose bumps several times a long time ago when he did epic solo casting. Now he is the most emotionless caster out of the 4. I'm pretty surprised artosis is last, his understanding of the game seems to be quite a lot higher than chill and tasteless. Although it's true that tasteless gets quite a bit better when he casts a game with a protoss player.I think people really exaggerate Artosis' bias. Why, because he says that Idra crushed player X because... Idra crushed player X? Anyways, Chill surprised me a bit, for some reason I expected his commentary to be the worst out of the 4 but he did a great job and the day9 chill combo is definitely more enjoyable than the casting archon, although casting at that late hour must obviously suck for artosis and tasteless.

The thing about Day[9] is he has this odd, almost sheltered sense of humor. I still remember in the Chill-Combat showmatch when he tried his damndest to be mean. It was funny, even though you couldn't take the "hatred" seriously. Things like that make him my favorite caster, easily.

I might not learn the most by watching Day[9] (actually I probably do), but he is by far the most entertaining. To me, atleast (this coming from someone who is pretty new to the SC pro scene. I started watching a couple of months before JD won the golden mouse). You might learn more in an hour of extremely serious discussion than an hour of watching Day[9], but you might also fall asleep in that hour. Related question to my noobness: I heard that Hiya and JD used to roll the scene together, yet I have never seen play that would be even close to JD's level, was there ever a time when this was true or was I lied to? Did Hiya used to be Oz's star ace player/game sniper?
