 Actually I just read it again and he asked not to be banned, I swear I've seen people get banned before for saying " pls dont ban me " though. | ||

Take it in context, he said If this thread is bad, please just close it instead of banning me. Came off more as being unsure where on the moderation hierarchy opening a bad thread comes in than a martyr, IMO. | ||

Terrible...Actually, it tends to be an effort to bully mods into leaving a post up when it would otherwise get modded. It's a reasonable tactic if it's a board you get as part of a service you pay for and they have stupid mods (any game by SOE coming to mind) to remind them that you're actually a customer and that overzealous moderation is a bad thing. On a board like TL, however, it's just an insult, and gives them a reason to ban people for the post that falls outside the context of what they were trying to push down people's throats to begin with. | ||
