True, since EJ forbids Theorycraft without some form of real evidence, I guess it could compare sort of. But only if Nyovne and Rekrul were engaged in a Strat Purge enforcing contest with prize money.
Because lets face it, TL allows way softer evidence. Of course, there's a lot less in the form of pure logs and pure math, like you said. Really, seeing what the sims said and testing it were what made it fun at first, then the challenge of tanking, and keeping idiots alive despite themselves (go figure I'd do that), and then all of a sudden they said "Hey, since we fucked up Wrath so bad, we're going to have a BADASS beta, and then when people buy the next one and resub, we're going to nerf it all into the FLOOR BWAHAHAHA."
Uhm, I mean. I got tired of it?

Well, there's a lot less to be able to theory craft with pure numbers in SC2.
Strategy can't really be quantified, and neither can mind games, information control, map control, reactions to different strategies, etc.
As far as I remember, most of WoW was just maximizing certain traits, like DPS or Heals, etc.

It's a lot easier to crunch numbers for MMO's because the variables are a lot fewer. That's pretty much what it comes down to. You can crunch numbers for SC/BW/SC2 but from what I can see, it's mostly useful for just optimizing openings and build orders and such.

Yeah i'd almost wish there was a mod-note or something to discourage shitting up of that thread with stupid Windows vs Mac arguments, it's completely inappropriate. That's for the mods to decide though.

What I found even more inappropriate were the "I can't believe they wasted a liver transplant on that asshole" comments. Some people just seem to consider TL like twitter and post for themselves without thinking about how their comments would be received in a RIP thread. :-|
