Reason: Because it's posted on reddit does NOT mean it's thread worthy on TL. In fact, I'd argue if it meets reddit standards it doesn't belong here at all.
Whoa ETT with the knock at reddit in a ban. That's pretty hilarious.
Also, I don't remember, but has it been mentioned that TL.net bot is now down to 2 posts? 2! We're very close to the end people. Start repenting.

However posts regarding that are almost always going to provoke irrational responses from poster's that don't think quite enough before they post, or due to the nature of competition in such things. If its even vaguely offensive to them then their initial reaction will be very negative. Its like If a Korean poster was to start a "nationalist"/Pro-Korea thread talking about how Korean's were dominating SC2 and foreigners just couldn't compete, certain people would read that as "foreigners suck" and "korean arrogance", and respond accordingly. A semi-extreme example, but you see my point.
Anyways, just let it go, we both agree that Destro's ban was warranted regardless, and hence my post's relevance(which was questionable to begin with) in this thread is no more.

How is it more complicated than 'This player acts in a way I don't like. I won't cheer for them.'? How do people come to feel like they're owed something by someone who's never claimed to represent them? Why do people attach their egos to the performance of someone else?
The Starcraft community is a rabid sort of fandom, and it's rife with these misconceptions and dramatics. Grow up. Stop attempting to psychoanalyze strangers. Accept players as functional humans and fellow adults who possess more than these three traits: 1. Nationality; 2. W/L Record; 3. "Manner".
You submit payment to a tournament with your viewership, not a player. All you're doing is witnessing a group of people try to make a living, they owe you fuck-all. A player like Idra being both successful and erratic is only a good thing for the drama and depth of the show - if you have an issue with it, let tournament organizers know. I doubt you'll even blip on the radar amidst the people who are doing to tune in to see what insanity is going to occur, the people who accept the show as a show.
No, its not a good thing for the depth of the show. Idra has no depth whatsoever and his reaction to MC's highly entertaining show was the same with a 12yo full of acme who gets mocked by bullies: the finger! wow.
O u t c l a s s e d.
Idra is the absolut worst thing the sc2 community has to offer and i'm genuinly sorry for anyone who's a fan of his. Maybe someday they will understand they have been brainwashed by a loser that: 'zerg isnt supposed to win', 'protoss is just a-move', 'people that play the other two races dont ever deserve the win even if they played excellent and you played like crap' and 'i can quit whenever i want because, you know, i play zerg'. People waited to see an epic series with MC and they got nothing. Why? Because idra doesnt care about spectators, and doesnt care to win either. As long as there are nobrainers following him, why try bro? Dont get me wrong, i like BM and i think it adds to the drama, but you cant bm everything that moves, you have to know when you can pull it off. And more important of all, you have to have a personality in order to back it up. Also, E-sports will never grow to something mainstream imo if people who are interested to invest in it watch people like him have fans.
Now, go ahead illustrious tl admins and warn me or ban me for saying my opinion as you usually do.

I was reading the post wondering why he got banned. Then it all became clear with the last line. Martyrdom ftw :>

Cute.
I don't get it
I basically said desrow is fat. Not really cleverly disguised i must say.
One thing that would intrest me is how high the amount of bans is, that is only triggered by people being a martyr :D

Piss Hitler made me laugh for at least 20 minutes last night, waiting for the GSL to finally come on. I had reached that apex of tiredness and awareness where everything becomes hilarious and then comes along a spider, who just wanted to be named piss hitler.

It was a shame, because his conduct proved a vital extension of my point. I was hoping someone like him would respond, but wasn't hoping for the martyrdom. xD
It might be closer to the Doomsday Clock that Torte De Lini was referring to. X Posts = Seconds to Midnight. The wikipedia article is very informative.
