Tote de Lini and DropBear among many others.
EDIT: and 57 Corvette because he coughed at me, although since he dosn't play mafia I'm not actually aware of his existence
The fact that they you may not notice them, doesn't mean they aren't there, sure there has been an influx of crappy posters, but there are some real gems among them too ^_^

Umm just checking in, today there is apparently 5 pages of bans already. Is this normal??? Is there an idiocy epidemic? I think someone needs to bring back the derp cartoons.
Edit: Ahh it's MLG inspired idiocy. >.>

People have a lot of ways to deal with losing streaks in starcraft 2. This is mine. Seeing people banned that would 6 pool double spine crawler worker all in, lose, and send one worker back because they're going to rebuild their mighty empire and win.
At least thats how I demonize them.

The sheer fact that both of their bans generated such a big controversy amongst posters and mods is proof of that.
You can't say because there was controversy the ban must have been unwarranted or not needed. People create controversy regardless of the original act. I'm not disagreeing with your point merely the backing of it

irbynator was just banned by JWD.
That account was created on 2010-10-15 07:29:36 and had 503 posts.
Reason: "Nah."
Dude is been around for almost a year and has still hasn't learned. Was banned for This post.
Looking over his post history it's seriously 503 one liners. I cannot find a single one that reaches two lines or even forms a complete sentence (with both capitol letters and periods). So glad to see the TL mods clamping down on some of the zero content posters.

I agree, but i brought up the controversy to show that they are both clearly valued amongst community members

I want to call you retarded, but I will get banned!User was temp banned for this post. Just call him a fag then. TL's mods don't seem to care at all about homophobic language. Maybe it's because that kind of speech is so ingrained into "gamer lexicon", so phases like "My opponent cannon rushed me, it was so gay", "Wow, another apm fag? Don't you know that apm doesn't matter at all? Just look at *this particular player*", or the more generic "That strategy/spell/unit is so gay" go unnoticed. Just make sure you don't use a "real" slur though! Like calling somebody a jew or a nigger. I'm certain that would get noticed right away. User was banned for this post.

This sequence of posts made me laugh so hard. ^^

*cough* Uh, Hi...
I always laugh when the ban list jumps after an event. Even if nothing bad goes down, theres still gonna be a page of "no balance whine in LR threads".

This made me lol hard. Even went to the trouble of taking a screen shot of FF spelling correction heh heh.
If there are two sure fire ways to bring out an American's nationalist pride they have to be telling us the British spellings and pronunciation of words are correct, and telling us the metric system is better than our measurement system (notice not pronounced meesurement)...

This is somewhat interesting to me, as when I first saw this I was like, comedy gold? and thus searched for that thread. And really...
We'll I gotta say, Destro did deserve the ban no doubt for that post, I mean such a generalized comment like that is unacceptable, considering that no way are ALL American's so ignorant or overly nationalistic.
Still i can kind of understand the almost instantaneous reaction to something like the OP in that thread, because that poster at least seems to somewhat have the view that Destro is suggesting, and its almost provocative in a way. You can see that through many other poster's responses as well.
Of course I don't mean to defend Destro or anything. Just a bit irritating reading stuff like that on a website that is essentially international, I mean this is teamliquid, not starcraftUSA(example name i have no idea if this site actually exists) or something like that, and the OP claiming that EG and TL(An international team!) has a duty to represent "the stars and stripes" is just ridiculous.
Sorry if this is bringing too much from another thread into here.

I agree to a point. The OP was a bit strange (especially since both EG and TL are multinational teams), but I think some nationalism is okay. Who watches the Olympics and doesn't hope their athletes win? I would love to see a westerner beat some top Koreans in SC2 to show that we gamers in the west can play just as well
But if you look through Destro's last dozen or so posts about half of them are ragingly anti-American. He basically can't go more than two posts in a row without rambling some nationalist Canadian sentiment or Anti-American anger. This is an SC2 site not the UN...

@TheToast Yeah fair enough lol considering his other post's, and I'm not bashing a little bit of nationalism/supporting one's country, though I myself would not, I'm not gonna force my view on others. However posts regarding that are almost always going to provoke irrational responses from poster's that don't think quite enough before they post, or due to the nature of competition in such things. If its even vaguely offensive to them then their initial reaction will be very negative. Its like If a Korean poster was to start a "nationalist"/Pro-Korea thread talking about how Korean's were dominating SC2 and foreigners just couldn't compete, certain people would read that as "foreigners suck" and "korean arrogance", and respond accordingly. A semi-extreme example, but you see my point.
Anyways, just let it go, we both agree that Destro's ban was warranted regardless, and hence my post's relevance(which was questionable to begin with) in this thread is no more.
