Hello folks, it's time for another DC LAN. We're looking to have a competitive SC2 tournament and possibly a broodwar tournament on the side as well if there is enough interest! I know there are still people out there who play or follow SC2, lets make this event huge.
This one is going to be epic so you won't want to miss it. Everyone is going to want to come out for this. I can already guarantee a pretty large prize pool thanks to some extremely generous donations. If you are a serious player you will not want to miss this event. If you are a casual player, it's an amazing opportunity to experience a competitive event in a live setting. The prize pool is almost entirely made up of generous donations from community members, if you can spare some to help fund the prize pool please let me know via PM or respond in this thread! Everything helps and is greatly appreciated to help make the event worthwhile, especially for professional players who may consider traveling to attend the event.
Also if you are interested in sponsoring or help sponsor the event please contact me as well, I can hand out flyers, work with our caster to add something to the stream or give a shoutout somewhere during the event. We're totally flexible to help make the prize pool as big as possible!
When: Saturday March 14th 2015. 11AM-10PM(Or whenever the event concludes)
Where: Monster PC: 7031 Little River Turnpike #13b, Annandale, VA 22003
Cost
$20: Covers you for 12 hours at the LAN center as well as entry into one or both SC2 and BW tournaments. Everyone will be encouraged to participate in the SC2 tournament. Even if you are not a serious player, please consider coming out and participating in the SC2 tournament, and then sticking around to play other games/socialize with other gamers in the area!

2nd: $150
3rd: $100
BW:
No prize pool but we may have someone donate if there is enough interest in bw.
Format:
Bo3 double elimination bracket. Bo5 winners semifinals and finals. Bo7 grand finals with winner of the winners bracket starting game up 1-0.

Notes:
Please join channel "DCLAN" on sc2 bnet when you arrive at the LAN center as we will use this channel for communication during the event since the LAN center is split into separate rooms.
Unfortunately the LAN center is a bit cramped so there isn't a whole lot of space for people who plan to just spectate the event. You can bring your own headset, keyboard, and mouse, the LAN center does have decent keyboard and mice on all of the computers already. Monitors and PC's are provided by the LAN center.

Dang that sucks, can't really change the date now already committed with the 14th. PAX East is also the weekend of the 7th and I know a number of people will be going to that.
I'll be sending out a bunch of reminders for this in the coming days, hopefully we'll see the signup numbers increase.

I'm gonna ask my friend whose girlfriend lives in DC if he wants to drive down after PAX East. I'll try to be free both weekends, but no guarantees D:, that's a lot of driving for one month :/.

Thanks to everyone who has been sharing this link across facebook/reddit etc. really helps get the word out since TL community section gets such low traffic lately.
If anyone has any friends who might be interested, bring them along!! we need as many people as possible!!! also, the $500 prize pool is 100% guaranteed, thanks to a couple super amazing donors (who wished to remain anonymous) plus myself. I really appreciate it, the sc2 community continues to amaze me 5 years and running now.
