I actually watched Serenity before the show, and found it a so-so SciFi flick. But that got my onto the show, and I was completely hooked from the first episode on.

I started watching it in 1999, because it was broadcast for the first time on one of the 7 terrestrial TV channels in France. I've watched and rewatched it many times. I like Scrubs and Parks and Recreation too.

Saw all of them as soon as I could... and Angel.... no laughter from me. Not sure which is my favourite tv show of all time would be... Could very well be Firefly, or Friends, Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex, Top Gear (UK), Azumanga Daioh, or Band of Brothers. Too hard to pick and choose just one.

Do you rather figure stuff out for yourselves or do you like to talk to someone about it? Coke or coffee. Coke tends to make me sleepy though. Bit of both. Sometimes I prefer thinking by myself, sometimes I like to just bounce ideas off someone else, but most of the time I always run my final plan by someone else to get their perspective.

Everyone should know what my real answer to this question is, so I'll play along and answer as if it regarded American television only and say this: Battlestar Galactica was and has been the only television show in the past decade that I have cared about in such a way as to follow and watch each episode in expectation for more as it progressed. To answer the second part, I started watching it because the style seemed to me to be refreshingly different from the crap that is regularly shown to American audiences; the series was also scored very well. I only watched Firefly in marathon online long after it was cancelled. Honorable mention goes to Archer, a show that I still have not been able to marathon and complete but always entertains me when I get to see isolated episodes. People say I should like Mad Men, but I think I will continue to hate that show eternally for making people think I order whiskey sours because of that dumb show when I have, in fact, been ordering and making that cocktail for years before the show even existed.
