a few days ago, i started to bicycle to school, and i found that theres a ping pong table in the common room of my program first time i cycled, my legs were so sore after 5 minutes and i walked the rest of the way home, in 2-3 days i can manage 20 minutes of cycling but still having leg sore. also, first time playing ping pong in 10 years against other amateurs, i got owned in 3 sets of 21 points and then i owned the next 4 xD (i used to be really good in ping pong) im not gonna be so hardcore to body build and such, but i probably will follow this thread to keep fit, and play ping pong for casual fun

Ugh pneumonia. Sounds terrible. I find at 8-9 (where i think i am now? guesstimating) shit is noticeably loser than me than when i was around 12-14. But nothing a belt probably can't fix. Also depends on your individual build. Thanks a lot for the information. Also, you're insanely strong for 8% bodyfat. Usually guys as strong as you are 15%+. That's just monstrous man. How long did it take you to get to this level of fitness? I've been at it for about 4-5 months now, and I'm a long way away it seems. Hoping that by this time next year I'll be able to do 400 x 5 on squat and 300 x 1 on bench. Anyway, I'm cutting bodyfat at the moment so I shouldn't have huge hopes for strength increases. I'm trying to get with one of the hottest girls I've ever seen, so I have to look my best. That means I'm simultaneously trying to hit 300 x 5 squat (I've done 300 x 1 before) at under 200~ pounds, which would be my body weight if I cut to 10%.

It was my first session since like a full week. I went there to check on something and well I'm all good I think. this week's rest will serve me awesomely!. Squat with 80kg without problems or anything, I thank my life for this, eshlow, and decaf, and their advice! love you mothefuckers!. Press with 50kg. I'm doing this so clean without push pressing it, I think I can hit 60kg again without push pressing it but I'll see. This week there are a shitton of holidays and well, I won't be going to the gym, until next monday, but next monday I'll resume my other 4 weeks of SS and choose my next move!. Psyched guys! ![]()

Going off this: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=214711 I'd say i'm probably closer to 10% I started lifting heavily (if not kinda aimlessly) and eating a ton around this time last year(lifts prob around squat/dl in the low/mid 300's, bench low 200's). Got pretty strong, stalled out when i separated my shoulder, and then by spring time i was ~6'0-1, 215lbs, squatting 405, dl 425, benching 265, somewhere in the 12-15% range. Then summer hit and i started working (basically deadlifting all day :p), lifting seriously + interval sprints ~3 times a week, rugby 2-3 times a week, and probably at a huge deficit in calories cause of work but still eating pretty healthy. Ended up with a 6 pack, 445 squat, 485 dl, and a shitty bench(wrist) weighing 195-200 pounds. I don't know how tall you are but you'll definitely get to 5x300 @ 200 np if you keep at it. And the ladies come easy after that(srsly) ![]() On November 16 2010 13:31 AoN.DimSum wrote: 90kg hang snatch pr..... ![]() hopefully my strength comes back soon. Bah. I almost never eat candy, chips or soda, and drink mostly water. I only eat junk food when I drink, which is maybe 1 time a month. I don't consume much dairy, but at the same time I don't really eat that many fruits and vegetables either. There are pretty much two options with cutting: 1.) Eat Better: cut out grains, sugar, and HFCS. Eat foods rich in saturated fat, protein, and have some type of green vegetable at least twice a day to increase your fiber intake. 2.) Eat Less: eat whatever you want (to a reasonable extent at least), but just decrease your portion size. I still recommend cutting out sugar and HFCS as much as possible. Of course, you can always just go with option one and incorporate a cheat day on which you can eat whatever the hell you want once a week. That's kind of what I'm doing at the moment. On the other hand, you can potentially combine 1 and 2, and eat mostly clean--except when you don't, at which time you eat light. A piece of pizza isn't going to kill you, but losing your mind by eating food you hate all the time can cause you to fall off the wagon hard. Also, I don't know how much support I'm going to get for this, but intermittent fasting is a viable option. I wouldn't recommend it if you're going for the Mr. Olympia title, but for most people, it can work well. My workouts are currently fasted because I perform better on an empty stomach (+Jack3d).

also, rosa tell me about jack3d? I hear a lot if shit about it from one guy I know, but he isn't exactly the brightest color of the rainbow. The internet is turning out to be a terrible resource, because of all the viral marketing shit about it. for me, food is the same almost every day. Breakfast: four eggs, scrambled. Slice of wheat toast with peanut butter. Alternatively, whole weat bagel with turkey and swiss cheese. Lunch: turkey sandwich on twelve grain bread with lettuce and cucumber. One or two points of whole milk. Dinner (non work night) - two chicken breasts, or a hamburger (95% lean) with as much carrots or celery or broccoli as I can eat, our until fridge empty. Raw with salad dressing. Dinner on work nights is my low point. Its usually some sort of take out - buffalo chicken burger our chinese food lately. In addition to the three meals, one or two snacks. Either whole wheat peanut butter sandwich, or tuna, or multi grain tortilla chips with salsa. yum. I also usually fuuuu another two pints of while milk in there, and other than that drink green tea or water. I have no problem eating these meals every day, but if anyone has ideas I would love them. aside from diet... I'm in top if the world right now. Woke up in time too have a great breakfast, got to weight lifting class on time. While time I was squatting (rehabbing knee, crazy light weight) the only cute girl in the class was giving me "that look"in the mirrors. finish squats, head over to deadlift. Not only do I max, I knock it out of the park. Was 205 last workout for 1x5, did 225 3x5 today, new personal best, got that second plate on the bar now. got hardstyle techno blasting in my earphones, all pumped up, new pr on bent rows and on overhead press as well (although I've only been doing those for six workouts now, so that's nothing special). Leave weight lifting class, cute girl following, talking to me all the way to genetics lecture. She's a broadcast journalism major, class on the other side of campus. Sitting in class now, had a great discussion with my professor, possibility I might with in his lab next semester. got the number of cute gurl number two who sits behind me and is also my neighbor. ON TOP OF THE WORLD, and all because of that deadlift. Hell yes I love the gym. Btw sorry for typos, posted from phone in class.

I don't consume much dairy, but at the same time I don't really eat that many fruits and vegetables either. i got pretty unfit for a while in college and managed to lose about 30+ lbs from may to now (took only about 4.5 months, have kept it off easily). from my experience calorie count is the main thing that is important, followed secondly by a decent exercise program and not eating too many bad carbs. to be quite honest my diet isn't extremely healthy either, i drink a lot of diet soda and eat out a lot, (ironically I also smoke weed very often which coincided with my weight loss). I've found that just eating smaller portions (not eating a full meal when you go out) and forcing myself to adapt to that and a decent workout schedule (4 times a week: 2 1 hour lifting sessions, 2 yoga classes) was pretty good. I started also to use some whey protein (just after weight lifting). mainly i stopped eating a lot when getting baked ,stopped drinking real soda, and watching caloric intake. brown rice a nice substitute for real rice (of if you don't like the texture, I like to mix them). it has lower glycemic index and is more nutritious than white rice is good. chipotle is also a great way to to lose weight, as long as you cut out the tortilla (order the tortilla bowl), get all the vegetables and skip the sour cream. cheese is ok in moderation. by cutting those ingredients you make a meal with high protein/dietary fiber and low fats/carbs, since the wrap + sour cream & cheese is almost 600 calories by themselves. i would highly recommend yoga for anyone who does not like sports or whatever. gets you a chance to check out some fine ladies, and is fairly relaxed (don't pick power yoga or some bullshit like that). in fact i smoke up before I go everytime, and am able to do the entire routine without too much difficulty. it's a great core workout and really improves how your body feels.

Basically you only eat for 8 hours out of every 24 hour period and fast for the other 16. I tried this and found it was amazing because instead of worrying about eating 5-6 small meals a day and taking all sorts of expensive powders and supplements to help accomplish this I only have to worry about preparing two meals a day (could even be the same food just split into two portions) and then I usually have a shake before I start my fasting period. This means I can eat more whole foods, spend less money on supplements and it basically liberates me from the being enslaved to my diet routine the way I was in the past. Cooking and shopping for food is fun again, not to mention eating because you feel like a fucking man(!) eating huge meals. If you're not the type to shy away from rather unconventional eating approaches I highly recommend it as a very flexible way to look and feel better. Also, you can make it work with many types of diet plans: many of his clients do a more traditional 40/30/30 macro breakdown but others go much more paleo.

I used to buy into this myth as well, but as eshlow said it's simply unsupported. Whatever gives you a workable diet that you can stick to is best, although there is a significant amount of research that suggests diets involving intermittent fasting are actually better for you than a traditional, wake up eat breakfast, eat lunch, eat dinner diet or an eat every 2-3 hour one.

IF only really works well if food quality is good. If food quality sucks then the body is liable to still hold on to fat more easily. Like if you tried that twinkie diet *facepalm*
