What's your favourite Dota 2 Hero and Build?

So, the question is simple. Which is your favourite hero and preferred build.

Is there perhaps a "secret" build for this Hero, but you dont use it to often in fear of being tagged as "trash, noob, scrub" and whatever?

Feel free to explain in dept why you picked this specific hero/build.

Well, I can say what dota 2 hero/build I am most looking forward too =P
In dota 1 I was a huge fan of Lanya, templar assassin. Her style of livin on the edge as well as her amazing map control made me a huge fan. I am looking forward to building her like I did in dota 1 with phase, medallion, bllink, bkb/desolator. She is a great mid-game ganker/counterganker and then becomes a badass assassin in late-game team fight. Bkb feels a little too good on her if you time your refraction well, it feels like you can stay in a fight forever. And nothing feels better than meld-dodging and refraction-dodging. The fact that she has a very high skill cap and that her team-fight presence is completely life-or-death based on your own skill, she is really rewarding to play and win with. I also feel she can work in a number of different lineups. Oh...and the mindgames. I love me some mindgames.

In dota 2, I would have to say I enjoy drow the most right now. I just love orbwalking killing a lot of people. I generally build her treads, lothars, crit/bkb, then whatever I need to end the game. It is so much fun kiting people around and that AoE silence is so boss. You can also catch people off guard at night with ganks. Mostly in lower-skill games but abusing her great nightvision can net you some very early skills with a fellow dps-er.

At the moment I'm really liking Windrunner, shes so versatile. I always go treads->force staff and then usually orchid->MKB, but there are so many builds. If I'm with friends I go Tranquil and Mek but that's not nearly as fun.

I love Specter and his map hax. Not only does he get to move through impossible terrain, but he can locate all the enemy champions at any point and teleport to them.
The only barrier to truth is the presumption that you already have it. It's through our pane (pain) we window (win though).

@Celerity: I absolutely love windrunner as well. I find that phase boots are pretty awesome on her as well. My general build is phase - force staff -scythe. Orchid/Scythe is very much a matter of matchup/preference but I also like the full support build as well with mek ect. Her mobility is amazing as well. Overall, an amazing hero.

I really like Pandaren Brewmaster.
Hopefully he gets transferred into Dota2 soon.
I normally play the standard build:
phaseboots
magic wand
point booster
Dagger
Agha

I think Drums is a good option on Panda too, if you are in a disadvantage and cant farm as fast as you would like to.

His Ulti is just fun to play, if u have some micro and can use his spells.

Love playing invoker end game when he has aghanims and guinsoo and basically has infinite mana. I like to start battles with Tornado/EMP, follow up with Meteor/Deafening Blast and then finish with Forge Spirits/Alacrity. Oh and maybe throw a hex or Ice wall in there depending on the situation.

I also love getting Divine Rapier on him.

Getting some ekstra 250ish hitpoints and you surivie long enough to get away with windrun.
(Or just windrun away from the inital danger anyways)

Windrunner and the rod of atos ftw! (Or straight to sheepstick if your farm is better than mine^^)

Edit:Seems she's quite popular

Forest CM is very fun!

Start with Frostbite, ring of basi and 2x mana potion.
You just pull the big camps out, Frostbite the biggest creep, kill it, then rinse repeat for the rest.
Quickly make a soul ring, level up aura twice, then go normal build and gank from there.

Naix - Go into woods, farm for 40 mins or so (I have been playing some pubs recently for the luls) come out with AC, armlet, abyssal blade power treads and maybe a reaver if u farm good = luls. Then you can 3 shot Tinkers and shit. But this only works in pubs where there are almost no wards and ppl dont chweck jungles :D

Not necessarily my favourite but a fun pub-stomper.

Pick Lich (tango, health, mantle x2, iron branch x2)
Solo mid.
As soon as you hit 6 gank side lane then immediately return mid. Repeat when ult comes off cooldown
Boots of travel
Start roaming when you hit 11. Try to time it so your ult is off cool-down when you hit 11.

Use map awareness to counter-gank + ult with boots of travel.

invoker, quas exort build, BoT oblivion staff if im going orchid later if not i get a blink then i finish orchid/get aghanims and then i get a hex if i need it(usually yes)
i love this build and i havent really seen anyone else use it in dota 2 and it wasnt that popular in dota 1 either, obviously the build sacrifices using emp/tornado but instead it gives you a perfectly positioned ice wall and a well placed meteor

the ginger, wind runner.

extremely versatile hero, can gank hard, awesome support in team fights, solo hard long lanes, hard to kill, semi carry (under various circumstances). She's also a strong pick in almost ANY lineup.

I like to play her:

Windrun first (I generally solo hard lane so I dont need early shakle for gank, I just need to survive some gimmicky first blood stuff)
Shackle Shot (again safety in solo hard lane)
Power Shot x3
Shackleshot
Powershot
Shackleshot
Shackleshot
Windrun (will get ult if we're going heavy push, and I'll ult towers)
Windrun
Windrun
Ult

General Item progression for normal game:
Ring of Bas
Phase Boots
Wand
Mek
Force Staff
Sheep

Another fun pub-stomper is Sven with Bracerx2, MoM, BKB, Daedalus. Lastly, AC if the game goes on that long.

You attack so fast and you crit for ~1000. Combined with your cleave and AoE stun it is just ridiculous. I seriously think he might hit harder than any other hero in the game right now.

Doombringer + Aghanim's.

Not really a build, but I love just tossing Doom on someone and then they're usually just flat-out dead without me ever touching them unless they're at max health or they get some heal off.

But the "theme" of the 1540 damage Doom is my niche.

Carry Dazzle. Treads, Vanguard/Mek, Deso/Orchid/Assault/HoT

I'd say my favorite hero with a more conventional build is Clockwork or Rexxar with the fastest Necromonicom you can manage. That or just a super fast Dagon.

Been playing enchantress recently. Here is how it goes
Boots->bracer->force->treads->aghanims (point booster first) and then shiva's if they are smart enough to try and kill me, or scythe if I am winning hard. I haven't tried orchid yet on her but it seems like a solid item if you want to just dps someone down.

Invoker, hands down.
For pubs, Quas Exort build with 1 point in Wex for quick double elementals and then depending on what your team needs, if the game is going well, just stack exort, if you need more cc, stack quas, if you really need that emp or alacrity, stack wex.
Items I usually do are basic drum and phase to guinsoo's. If I'm feeling particulary ballsy, necrobook is one of my favourite items on any hero that can use it well, and on invoker it's really good although pretty apm intensive.

Forcestaff can be used on team members, not only on you.
One forcestaff per team is pretty strong imo (Unless you try to push-win before minute 25-30) Also, you can position yourself a lot better for shackleshots with Forcestaff and still have one escape mechanism. Or push your carry out of enigma ult / over ledges / out of range for a follow-up stun / sprout / etc. / etc. / etc. Push enemy SK that activated ulti over a ledge.

Forcestaff has a million and two uses, I think if you know how to handle it and remember it at all times it can easily be the difference between a win and a loss.

Favourite:

WR: Phaseboots - Wand - Basilius(if you don't already have 2 or more) - Forcestaff - Hex
or as support
WR: Manaboots - Wand - Basi - Meka/Pipe (depending on the enemy damagetype) - Euls/Hex/Forcestaff and ofc wards+smokes+Dusts-if needed

Skills depend, If sololane I skill windrun once on lvl 1 then max powershot/shackle
If trilane - Max powershot/shackle no windrun till you start to roam/need it
if dual lane - like solo but windrun on lvl 2/4 depending on their go-potential

Ult always on 10/11, level 1 ulti with no extra damage from items is about as good as not skilling at all.

My most successful hero was Tinker with BoTravel, bottle, shivas, hex. Linkens and manta would be bonus after that.

Currently I'm infatuated with pudge, have played nothing but him for the last week or so.

Mjollnir batrider. It sounds silly but by god is it fun. Tank up a bit, mjollnir yourself, wade in spanning napalm, laugh a LOT.

Tinker. So very much fun to play. I usually get:
Bottle, Boots of Travel, Scythe of Vyse. From here on it depends on what the team needs. I like getting Force Staff, Shiva's or Dagon, depending on what we need.

Windrunner is another favorite. I usually get utility items on her and sometimes wards if necessary. Force Staff, Mekasm etc.
This post is clearly not a hurr, as you can see from the graph, the durr never intersects with the derp.

I agree completly, i just love using forcestaff, on any hero almost. But i feel its kinda like going vanguard on Dk, is he not tanky enough already? /Personal preference tho (And im not a great player, but i <3 wr

I read somewhere that a just a sage mask gives more mana than basi ring once u have more than 32 int. Not sure how reliable that source is tho, anyone know? (Since im a fan of powershot harrasing

You're not getting Basilius solely for the mana regen on Windrunner. You're getting it for the long lane creep control.

If I were mid, I would get Bottle instead and skip Basilius.

The mana regen is totally true. Just a shame sobi doesnt give you 6 free damage and an armour aura.

3) wand and pipe
4) scepter and refresher
5) win (you can't lose with scepter and refresher lol)

Storm Spirit or QoP with straight Sheepstick + TP scrolls, into Orchid(Storm)/Desolator(QoP) and just playing mad aggressive all over the place. Or just Slardar with a blink key and maxed sprint. Just really fun to play hyper-aggressive when the hero allows it.

For right now, my main would have to be Morphling. I just love the feel of the hero and survivabiluty late game when you just toss on Strength while running away. I usually go for treads early on followed by dominator and than Satanic. I like going this way because the early agility helps with the creeps and reaver kicks in with morph so all that strength helps a lot.

I am debating on what to do next; it is a tossup between juggernaut or drow. My itemization for juggernaut is a bit iffy, still working on it.

I'm a Disruptor player. I start by buying a ward for my offlaner and the courier. My friends and I will run a safe tri-lane and I'll keep myself busy stacking and pulling/harassing if needed. I also buy tangos some claritys and a branch or two. I then buy my boots and build myself a bracer for some stats. Then upgrade my brown boots to arcanes. If my team needs a makanism I'll build it, but I'd prefer to go straight to aghanims scepter. Usually aghs is the only big item i can end up getting due to my low farm priority (position 5). If the game does go on for a longer time, I end up buying a euls and sheepstick. All while leaving a slot for wards, dust, or smoke.

One of the following;
Zeus Boots -> Bottle -> Arcane Boots -> Soul Ring -> Bloodstone -> Blink -> BoTs
Clinkz Basi -> Boots -> Soul Ring -> PTs -> Deso -> Eul's/BKB -> Hex

Both can deviate so hard from this build at any point; Zeus for a less greedy Force Staff/Eul's with Arcanes and Clinkz for a really early BKB if getting pressured. Against the Bounty/Bara I just go Eul's first.

I'm a boring person who likes to sink a lot of gold into saving my stupid teammates so it'd probably be something like
CM Tranquils>Drum/Force>Glimmer
Or just Arcanes/Tranquils>Force>Glimmer on any support.
Heaven's Halberd is the most criminally underbought item in Dota. Together we can stop this.
