the 2nd game i played yesterday i drafted very straight forward heroes. called out ganks 20s before they happen, but people dont listen and just keeps jungling then feeds. contrary to what some people think i did not rage quit the game, i gged because after looking at my teams farm i realized there was no way we were going to win. when i sac my own farm to roam the map, make room for everyone to farm/level and nobody has any farm the game is not winnable. tlih is casual and for fun but if your skill level is way below average you should really watch some replays and work on your mechanics.

I just think you are severely overestimating what the average player knows and severely underestimating how someone completelly new to the game actually plays like. I don't think I've played with a single person that I felt was actually completelly new to the game. I've seen a lot of people who were unused to this kind of game though. Playing only pubs at a lower level where a lot of the things people expect them to do in IHs don't exist.

Doesn't matter if the game is unwinnable, you shouldn't leave without consulting the rest of the team, it's disrespectful, people are not playing the game for your benefit. I've never been in a game where people refused to gg if the game was actually unwinnable, so there's no reason to just piss in everyones face by leaving. It's fine to ask that people actually try to get better, but please define "work on your skills a little". It's not acceptable to go "Oh man this dude lost his lane against a first page player, he needs to work on his skills a little". Some of the people in the TLIH are pretty damn good, "working on your skills a little" will not be enough to not be at a pretty big disadvantage individually.

I want to play some games with folks from TL(despite the growing fear that some players may judge me lacking), but keep missing the Inhouse games. Any ETA on when people are playing next? Games usually start at about 8-9pm BST, sometimes later, if you're going to start in 6 hours you'd probably only catch the very back end of them, if at all, especially on a weekday.

people are more than willing to help you get better, all you have to do is ask. this happens rarely though cuz people are too proud to ask for help

I'm definitely in the lower tier of the players of TLIH and I used to ask pretty much every game that people let me know if I'm doing anything wrong, if I should do something better etc, but no one ever said anything. Hell, even asking "Where do you want the wards placed?" is usually answered with silence. I've transitioned to simply acknowledge when people tell me when I do shit wrong. I don't think newbs are too proud to ask for help, I think it's that better players can't be bothered to tutor unless it helps them get a win.
