Had another beautiful 70 minute game where the score and towers were absolutely dead even for 50 minutes until our gyro manages to farm up manta style, satanic and a bunch of stuff, game went our way more and more then we thought we had lost when we got baited into attacking their slardar and we all wiped apart from gyro, who had so much life steal he survived on full hp and went to take 3 of them down.

I'm not being sarcastic. Once you get past a certain MMR (and you stop whining), russians are the most rewarding to play with.

Constant war, constant action. Constant meaningful play. Clutch engagements from both sides. I'm not being sarcastic. Even without communicating, most games people pick reasonable heroes that work well in the lineup, and proceeds to reasonable lanes. As opposed to the 5 man carry pick where everyone writes "mid or feed!". Its so nice to play with people who knows basic dota.

I've just taken to playing with 3 or 4 other guys and talking over Skype, so much more fun than playing solo in the marina trench of MMR.

I see the entire radiant team backing down middle when I torrent Ulti at max range from our jungle as Kunkka. Next thing I know is that a daedalus crit happened. I was using my fun build as yurnero (Mjolnir Battlefury Aghas) and landed an ultrakill with my Ulti. Mjorlnir procced like 4 times lol.

1 - Everyone hovers over the hero they want, so it is greyed out but visible; 2 - Someone, usually me, but offen others, will change their pick based on his teams and enemies picks; 3 - This happens until near 0 seconds, when everyone chooses their heroes; 4 - It usually goes, for selection, supports first, then carries then mid, I don't know why, it is just instinct; 5 - We end up with a balanced team and roflstomp. This happened yesterday. Even though I had horrible horrible lag we roflstomped. I was Dark seer, because we didn't have an offlaner. I tried to pick Furion, but enemy team picked, then WR, but enemy team picked, then I caught DS (which is even better, but not much fun). TL:DR: Mid Level MMR in Brazil is fun

This. That is all, this right here is why I play dota. Edit: Skip to 53 minutes to skip drafts.

TOO BAD. I already bought them for the pull. Enjoy dying three times in lane because you don't know how to play the matchup legit. SUCH AMAZING MOMENTS. Let me memorialise it in a thread that is not suited for such purpose!

Radiant: sniper, undying, clinkz, gyro, andddd my last pick for the team - batrider (me). 2 guy stack + 3 solo queuers Dire: Pudge, Jugger, Naix, Bounty and shadow shaman. (they were a 4 man stack, bragged about it early on, said they'd win in 10 mins ez) I ended up doing all the big plays for our side on my bat. Clinkz was getting raped by gem on bounty + 1, gyro barely had any farm all game, I had more CS than him in the end, sniper was reasonably farmed, undying was well... undying... I guess he made a pipe or smth and ocasionally threw a tombstone down once or twice... There are those games that everything just goes right. You break each dismember with flamebreak after 0.1s, you lasso bounty or naix each fight while clinkz deals with jugger, and you escape on 10-60 hp every fight... The game was so good it makes me not want to queue up for more, since I know the likelyhood of getting another shitty game with retarded drafts and losing so bad it hurts, is much higher than getting to team up with competent people...

Undoubtedly the best teammate I ever had in Dota, and also the only game I can remember where a Rapier actually saved a team from crushing defeat.

Let me tell you, level 1 rocket barrage plus shadow bindings is completely, completely unfair in pubs. First blood, second blood and so on. Along with the random gold you snowball so fast it's crazy.

The absolute best thing about it? my fucking teammates. I can't quite describe it, but after that team effort I feel as if 3 of them (because 1 player was a retard and a douchebag) are my fucking online Band of Brothers. We communicated, had fun, talked our strategy etc etc OH MY GOD IT WAS SSO FUCKING GOOD The other team played really solid as well. It was easily the highest skilled, most even match I've played in Dota yet. I give matchmaking a lot of shit but it fucking NAILED this one http://dotabuff.com/matches/235070828 Clockwork and Magnus nailed a stupidly high amount of hooks&RPs, seriously applaud them On July 05 2013 04:41 Talron wrote: Good moment in DotA just happened to me. Had a guy playing Storm Spirit in mid, played really well, and when he started talking via voicechat he had the freaking most MANLY voice ever. He kept motivating the rest of us, directing the whole flow of the game. Awesome guy! Heck, his voice can even rival with Ayesee. hahaha, that's fucking sweet :D
