The most wonderful moment I remember was many many years ago. I was playing with my buddies in this cybercafe in our college, three guys and two girls including me on our team. One of the guys was a newbie so we were guiding him. So he was using Zeus and my friends got him to buy a refresher.

So he was away from us when a teamfight happened and all four of us died, but the other team was all near-death. All of us shouted at him "ULTI!!" He got a triple kill. We then shouted "REFRESHER!" then he refreshed, then "ULTI" and he killed the remaining two. The whole cybercafe broke out in laughter, he stood up and did a victory pose, and we slapped his back loudly.

Ah fun days...

Went on after the hat patch, queued without looking and wound up in Limited mode. What am I, some kind of n00b?

Turns out they have a random button for that so I random DK. I'm ok with this.

Between the remaining randoms/picks we have Viper, Jugg, Sven, and Zeus. I was *very* negative at this point because it looked to be a farm-fight 20 minute stomp to their balanced lineup.

Sven tended to the pull camp and built a fast urn to help with ganks, Viper went gank-heavy mid into building a mek, Zeus never stole my kills, people TP'd to defend our T1 top twice (never fell), and not only did Jugg buy our courier, he bought and placed wards without being asked.

I don't even know what to feel. I'm sorry for doubting you all.

not really a good moment but i was too entertained. my 4 teammates started flaming each other after the picks and stopped as we lost the game....but the chat was pure gold. some perspectives are just too funny :D

Playing with a friend, I get spectre and he gets bane. We go safe lane vs abaddon and shadow shaman. We get 4 kills before they decide that laning isn't working for them.
What followed was the greatest snowball of my somewhat brief dota career. I went 25-2-13, and both times I died were right after getting double kills. At one point it was tied 23-23 and I had 17 of my teams kills.
Good to have a game every once in a while where everything goes amazingly from start to finish

Played the sickest game with Dark Seer, our carries (gyro and antimage) didn't get to do much since me,pugna and pudge destroyed the enemy team. The best moment was when I was ambushed by slark, shadow fiend and dragon knight. I'm at 10 hp and running behind one of the trees at the radiant side ancients. I let go of the mouse and prepare to die when suddenly from nowhere comes pugna, then just as suddenly a hook from nowhere pulls me to safety... seconds later: PUGNA TRIPLE KILL.

Banana grin for the rest of game :D

I just played a game where an allied jungling Nature's Prophet was actively trying to gank lanes as often as possible! It's amazing (though not surprising) how easily a game goes when this happens. It was a welcome change of pace from all the typical afk junglers.

Played a game where 4 of us, Myself included, were like 0-5. We all would die and our Razor would always get all the kills. He ended up with 25 min Refresher, Aghs. Most hilarious thing I ever saw. He runs into the rosh pit refresher aghs on and gets a rampage, steals rosh and then a heart at 30 mins. Then we fight again he wipes them again in their base and the double ulti dominates the buildings.

Wow, just had a game where we lost practically every lane, lost midgame, lost lategame, lost 5 of our rax buildings with 1 standing with 200 hp against a Natures Prophet and a Broodmother while they had every T3 up (and a T2 iirc).

We managed to kill the NP tping into our base, killed a hasted SS, killed the brood in the jungle + the DK, tried to push, still had to go back before we attacked a rax.

Last fight Puck and I (morph) had rapiers, snuck into rosh and started killing it. Brood walks in during the kill, we sheep her, finish rosh, and then I went into Item management mode. Dropped my Morbid Mask for the cheese, used the cheese, picked up aegis, killed brood, puck dies droped the rapier, drop my EB to stop DK from picking up the rapier, turn on DK, lose aegis, kill him (enemy veno comes and steals my EB with a shadowblade), pick up the gem with my lost Aegis slot, and then kill off the enemy Natures Prophet.

Managed to throne them during their death timers. One of the biggest comebacks I've ever had - basically, if DK picked up the rapier on puck, we lose. All of the time, Jakiro was shit talking about how awful of a carry player I was.

We were losing so hard, spectre + lich vs tiny + lina on our safelane, me mid as ET vs OD, grab XP and an occasional last hit, ES feeding like mad on offlane (he asked this lane) their slark + CM. Our NP does nothing but farm. Vanguard 1st spectre, hand of midas first NP, lich is poor as fucked because of how many blue wards he bought to counter slark. In fact we're all poor except farming prophet. the ennemy team taunts a lot, insults etc. Approximately at the same time, we finish dagger on ES, sheep stick on NP and pipe on I. We starts trading decently in fights and won a crucial fight when they took one T3. Lich was clearly MVP, his ulti also synergises very well with ET ulti and aura. Finally spectre was farmed and raped em. So good to win versus those kids.

I’ve played Dota for 6 years now. And last night was without doubt the most epic win I’ve had.

TL:DR. Won in a 91 minute game after the opposition got mega creeps at the 52 minute mark.

Furion – Spec – Silencer – Zeus – Spiritbreaker Vs Invoker – A.A – Axe – Tide - POTM

Long version: Was in a 5 stack with a group of mates and we decide to run a global strat for a bit of fun. Things don’t go well early and by about 30 minutes they have all our towers down. Our teams farm has been ok though and we know if we can just bring it to late game we’ll have it in the bag. At about the 40 minute mark things were starting to look up, Spec was starting to get big and the midas on Furion and Silencer were starting to really pay dividends. I see an opportunity to split push the T2 bot tower as Furion so I teleport and start going to work. As I’m about to take down the tower all 4 of my teammates die in about 3 seconds. They got caught out by a full team potm ulti into tide initiate and I can’t do anything as they take 2 full sets of raxes (top and mid). We were able to stabilise shortly after and Spec and myself were able to take their bot rax, but it didn’t last long as they took our final rax 10 minutes later after some hero creeps cleaned up the rax after a big teamfight.

At this point the game went in circles for a loooong time. Crush them in a teamfight – not able to push fast enough and then having to pull back. – Crush them in a teamfight etc etc. Our problem was that we had no natural creep clearers. We didn’t have a medusa or a PA crit-clearing waves. We had a spec with butter-heart-rad and my furion who’s ulti took about 1/4th of a mega creeps hp. I had to DR up and trade my deso for Helm of Dom to be able to sit in the wave and take their damage. We had a big chance come at about the 70 minute mark where we wiped their team and spec and myself went to push down their mid rax. He had buyback and haunt and things were looking good. 3 of the other team bought back but I was confident we could take them given the situation. Spec gets locked down in the fight and goes down but we butter them up (I think we killed off Invoker who was their big threat) ready for a haunt reinitiate. The problem was that he used haunt 2 seconds before he died….. He’s new to the game so I didn’t hold it against him but his reasoning was that he thought buying back refreshed your cooldowns (if only). We pushed passed the disappointment of the missed opportunity and eventually (after 6 or 7 5v5 teamfights later) we were able to wipe them and push the throne with only 2 of them being able to BB.

The roar went up on Skype when we were able to finally take the game. I’ve never felt so charged with nerves and excitement during a Dota game before, I found myself shaking and stuttering words on skype at times. It was one of those games that I think everyone became so invested in that only a win would do, and whoever lost would be left with a huge sense of dread and regret. I know that I would have run through the game 100 times in my head already if we had lost.

I was the Venge.

Good back and forth action, we get wiped out and they get mega creeps at mid lane. We def around for a bit, their PA miscues, activates BKB and then jumps into 5 enemy heroes, all we had to do was to wait for it to wear off before we threw all our stuns at her. We end up clearing up their mid raxes as well. I get smoke and we decide to gank bot and from there we were winning. We managed to wipe them again and get bot raxes and wing it from there.
