I have AMD Phenom II X4 955 with BOX cooler atm. The case im using is Antec Three Hundred which came with 2 exhaust fans (120 back and 140 top). I want to replace BOX cooler from CPU and improve airflow inside the case. Picture how mine looks if anyone is interested.
As for case I have space to add up to 3 fans, here comes my first question: Is it worth to add all 3 or should ignore the side one and just get 2 front inflows? Another thing is which one should I get? I've been suggested that those should be enough as they are quiet and provide good blow for a nice price.
As for CPU cooler, so far I've been considering Thermalright True Spirit 120 or SilentiumPC Fortis HE1225. Would one of those be a good choice or is there a better one in similar price range?
For thermal paste, is something like Noctua NT-H1 or Zalman ZM-STG2 good choice?

Where are you buying from?

What are your overclocking goals and what Mobo do you have?

I'm polish and im buying here so prices might be little different but lets say 60, maybe 65 euro.

CPU is currently not overclocked (no suprise with box cooler i guess) and atm i have no plans to do any OC. Mobo is GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P.
Basically I want to keep it cool and fairly quiet, especialy during summer when temp in my room can get up to 30*C.

I suggest you buy the Thermalright True Spirit 120 and nothing else. This should be about 25 EUR. It comes with thermal paste which is good enough.
From what I've seen, you don't need to worry about additional case fans even with 30 C in your room.
The cooler you linked is the 120M which is a little shorter, but your case is big enough to fit the 120. Choose the one that is cheaper.
I have the "Thermalright True Spirit 120 Rev. A (BW)" and I'd recommend it. At low speeds, the fan is quiet enough to not be heard over the other components of my PC (one graphics card and a HDD). At full speed it is noisy, but if you will not overclock your CPU I predict the cooler will be strong enough even if you force the fan to always run slow and quiet.
The base of the other cooler you linked has those exposed heatpipes. I think the True Spirit's base is a better choice regarding possible mistakes with the installation. I think it's also not possible to make mistakes with its mounting kit as there are no parts where you can vary the pressure, no springs or things like that. Do not be misled by the simpler design and lower price. All coolers from Thermalright always look very good in all reviews and comparisons.
Also, the cooler seems to actually be pretty strong in practice. I played around with overclocking a lot, and I feel with this cooler my i5 3570k CPU can get within 0.2 GHz of what the strongest quiet air cooler could do. My case has two fans just like yours, one 140 mm and one 120 mm, both running rather slow and silent. This is why I think you could run the cooler's fan at its lowest speed if you don't overclock.

Okay, thanks. I was thinking about additional case fans so i can keep it closed, atm its open all the time because it gives lower temps and cpu cooler is quieter.

I live in the desert and it gets pretty hot in the upstairs room.
Other Computer with stock fan does the same as my h100 cooled rig.
If you aren't overclocking you don't need cooling. I learned the expensive way.
But now it is oc'd a little so that's nice. I'd consider at least a light oc if you get a new cooler!
Also, I'm talking about intel chips which are usually hotter than AMD... What are you worried about?

Not worried about anything, just BOX cooler is freaking vacuum cleaner when it gets a lil bit hotter in the room, thats my main reason for gotting new one. Figured out might as well improve some other things as I have spare money.

I would suggest not wasting the money on additional fans for the case. I mounted 2 additional fans on the front of an antec 300 and got almost no improvement in cooling. The only thing adding fans did was increase the noise and the rate at which the dust collected.

Thanks a lot! Won't bother with case fans.
