For example, I live in Dallas but the San Antonio server is supposedly better when it comes to ping/jitter. But since San Antonio is a bit farther my speeds are lowered a bit. the reason I'm asking is because when I play, I tend to get some late responses. For example, when splitting workers to mine, the response doesn't happen til like a 2ms off or something noticeably to the naked eye at least.

My connection: ![]() Everytime i start OBS fps in Sc2 is dropping to 30 - its not a big problem, its playable etc, but i'm just asking is there is anyway to get it to not drop fps. Ok i fixed it ... Needed to add Video Capture Device instead of Software Device. Using VHScrCap, is there any better option for video capture ?

You're going to have to provide a speed test from speedtest.net, it's probably that you dont have enough bandwidth left over for sc2.

EDIT: It may have been because I had it set to software capture rather than the native game capture? Also, what preset should I use, do I stick to veryfast?

There's a small delay on some of my actions i.e. I went to blink under someone's void rays and the stalkers didn't actually blink until like a second later. EDIT: It may have been because I had it set to software capture rather than the native game capture? Also, what preset should I use, do I stick to veryfast? Stick to veryfast. That could either be server lag, or system lag. If server lag, you either stream at too high of a bitrate and don't leave any room for SC2. If it's battle.net itself, not much you can do about it. If your system 'hangs' your cpu can't handle the actions in time. Lower stream settings.

Not a good idea to argue with experience .Not a good idea to argue with more experience, if you think for a second you can push settings anywhere near that ballpark on a stock 2500k then you are either extremely arrogant or dont have a clue how to do any kind of stress test

My upload is 0.86 and I set the bitrate and buffer to 500 each. Also, if I used the game capture thing, can I set SC2 to fullscreen instead of fullscreen windowed?
