No Display after installing new Mobo and RAM

Hi TL,

I ordered a new motherboard (Asus P5G41T-M LX) and 8GB of Adata DDR3 1300/mhz RAM recently. As far as I know I have connected everything correctly, however when booting, my monitor remains black while LEDs turn on and fans etc. I have tried plugging in VGA cable directly into Mobo as well as running it with one stick of RAM.

My specs are:

GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr 1GB
8GB Adata DDR3 1300/mhz RAM
Intel Quad Core 2.34ghz processor
Asus P5G41T-M LX Mobo
Coolermaster GX 750W PSU
Windows 7 64 bit

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to hardware so I need help identifying the problem and resolving it.

No video could be a few things. Make sure everything is connected properly. Check that the RAM is seated properly, and swap them around as bad ram will not give you video. If none of that works could be the mb?

new mobo and ram... assuming all worked fine before swap. try the old ram if its compatible. or new ram 1 stick at a time, not just 1 stick., for you might choose the bad one :/ onboard and vid card attempts for video failed? looks like mobo is problem since u should get onboard video with vid card removed. maybe losen the mobo screws a bit and try, tightening to much can cause my machine not to boot properly. just my 2 cents good luck

I had DDR2 RAM before so I can't use any of that. I will try some other sticks to see if thats the problem. And yes sky both my 6pin connectors are plugged into GPU.

I'd check the mother board specifications, I'm not sure that this mother board supports 1300/mhz ram. (Asus P5G41T-M LX 2 x240-pin DIMM, Max. 8 GB, DDR3 1333(O.C.)/1066/800 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory). Memory Standard:
DDR3 1066/800mhz. Did you order the ram seperatly or did it come with the motherboard? Also dumb question but after the swap you did manage to connector your monitor back up right? I have an Associate Degree in computer networking and believe it or not sometimes this is the problem

Also on boot up even though its black plug in some speakers see if you can hear i boot to windows or not also check to see if the video card fan is spinning (stick ur finger in the fan to check don't be scared it won't hurt anything). On that specific mother board there is actually only 1 PCIe x16 slot thats where ur video card should go, if the mother board is new enough it should be labeled on the motherboard. Plugging your video card into a regular PCI slot it will not work. So you getting no beeps or anything? is this an old video card and thats the reason you are upgrading? I recently had a video card failure where the video card would boot with power but no display, new video card fixed that. Try booting without your video card in it, if it has onboard it should boot with screen. I'm also assuming you bough the motherboard with the CPU? if so did they ahesive the cpu themselves? usually you have to do this. However, I'm almost positive it's your ram. Try the right speed an see what happens if you have any at all, if not your best bet is a phonebook to a local computer shop. They usually will look at your computer for free an tell you the problem anyways my company does. I'd get to calling quick though as since its Friday

if you wana game all weekend. I have had many motherboards DOA = dead on arival or the same situation you're faceing, everything boots up, no video, there is just to many possibilities unless you take it to a certified technician.

I ordered it separately thinking it could handle 1300mhz, just not 1600 mhz. Ill try using some 1066 mhz RAM to see if thats it. Thanks.

Also yes VGA cables and power cords all connected.

Video card is on for sure, and no sound comes out of the speakers.

Im upgrading because the RAM channels in my old pc broke and I could only use 2GB RAM, so I ordered a new Mobo which also required DDR3 RAM and I only had DDR2. My graphics card is pretty good so im not upgrading no.

As for running using on board video card, ive already tried and had no success...

No I didnt get a new CPU only RAM and Mobo. Ill try 1066 mhz RAM and if I cant find any solutions ill have to take it to local PC store to see if they can diagnose it.
