I will assume this is windows 7. Right click on desktop -> Screen Resolution Click Advanced Settings Click List All Modes Choose the resolution When playing starcraft, use Windowed Fullscreen and it will automatically use the Desktop resolution This probably is happening because of the monitor driver or the monitor is faulty. | ||

I know this is sad but Nvidia is garbage when it comes to custom resolutions. ATI will let you do w/e you want but Nvidia makes sure your monitor can handle it so unless u have a driver from your monitor you can't do it. something among those lines I have a new nvidia card sitting in a box for 4months now I can't use it cus I play on a 32" and I want black bars on the side (aka not play full screen) kinda make me sad probably could of got a better one by now for the same price good luck ! | ||

I just clicked "Create..." to pop that window up, if that's what you're looking for. I was able to set my monitor to 1600-900 but it looked hideous on my monitor XD | ||

Customize Create custom resolution 1600 x 900 test -> successful apply 1600 x 900 -> successful Thanks so much to everyone's help which led up to this. TL rocks. Thread can be closed. | ||

Click the Monitor tab of that same window I had you go to Uncheck Hide Modes that this monitor cant display Then go back to the adapter tab Choose resolution You can get a DVI-to-HDMI converter, I have no idea if it will make a difference. | ||
