Iam asking because I need a new one, after having qck for only a month or so ( i play alot though).
The place where I've had my mouse is really "hard", the friction has been reduced cause of all the dust I've hammered into the mousepad with my mouse xD. I guess I can turn it around and play on the other side, but after that I need a new one for sure!
Or is it possible to wash it, or does it destroy the friction if i do?

I don't normally change mousepads. I've had my Talent for 3 years and no problems. I'm pretty sure you can wash a qck+ but you probably need to find out how to do so properly. Someways can destroy the bottom layer and/or the top.

Take better care of your stuff.
|
You can wash a qck by hand, does no bad.
|
Just handwash it.
I've done it myself, had positive results.

i just throw mine in the washer on the delicate cycle. then low heat dry or air dry it.
|
I find that rubbing mine with peanut butter and mayonnaise helps, especially if I let it dry off in the sun afterwards.

Haven't changed my ice mat for 4 years now just wash it every once and awhile with a cloth and some water

I've had this random one for 11 years

My mousepad has to be at least 14 years old now. Plastic top, foam underneath. It has visibly shiny-smooth wear patterns that get bigger every year and broken corners. Works great.
Edit: This thread answers my question as to whether I'd ever want a cloth mousepad. Maintenance sucks.

I just changed the mousepad that I used for about 12 years last week. Upgraded to a razer goliathus control edition. I love it so much more then my standard mat.
|
I don't use a mousepad, desktop works fine enough for me.
|
I've had the same cloth mousepad for 6 years, only maintenance it's required was wiping off liquid and letting it dry for a few minutes.
|
I have a hard mousepad and plan to use it for the next 5+ years or until I break it going to a LAN. With cloth ones I had to replace them every year and a half or so, whenever the edges started fraying enough that it annoyed me.

This mousepad has been in this house for as long as I can remember, still works fine with my 5+years old mice.

I also have the same pad, and same issues, i have moved the pad over about 1/2 a foot, and am using the bottom right corner and feels like new right now, but it will fade away like the middle did. I initially thought this pad was amazing, but i think something with a plastic finish is just better overall, you wont have to wash it, and it will stay nice and slippery for a lot longer. That being said, since apparently i can throw in the wash, i will try it out, and hope it comes out like new again lol, if not, il just keep placing it and flipping it around until ALL the mouse pad is completely sticky lol. Also, ive had this microsoft sidewinder for years now, and just recently changed the feet on the bottom, and noticed a massive diffrence in friction, so i have another way to help friction stay at a low. But overall, think i will be buying a new pad, something plasticky.

Have had my Qpad now for probably 6-7 years? It's awesome and still as good as new, used daily 12h for everything.
|
8 years of use for my fUnc double-sided. i don't think there's a point in the next 8 years where i change this one.
|
I've had a Qpad, SS 5L and a Qck Heavy over the years and I can safely say that the Qpad is the most durable mat.

Got a razer mantis for almost 10 years now i guess , its still ace.
