Can you see if you router has some sort of QoS = Quality-of-Service options? You might be able to improve things through that. You could put your whole PC on higher priority (or maybe just SC2 if you find out how to do that).

Pretty much the only thing that should cap a 25 mbps line is unthrottled torrents or downloading from Microsoft / Steam. If it's a regular occurrence, it's not going to be MS/Steam. WATCHING streaming music / video does not use that much bandwidth. SENDING streaming video will use comparatively a lot more bandwidth, since Comcast (assuming nothing has changed) measures your usage as a percentage of the whole, so 50% of your up eats 50% of your down). Even then, you shouldn't have an issue. If you upgrade, unthrottled torrents will STILL eat the entire connection. Cap that shit low.

I've tried multiple computers running Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.9, Fedora Linux 19, and Linux Mint 15, all fully patched. I've tried on Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and *shudder* IE. I've reset my router and everything. Very strange. If this keeps up I will call my ISP. It's weird because it was working perfectly fine last night. Edit: now it straight up doesn't work at all. It is definitely my connection because I can access the sites if I tether my phone to either of my machines and use that connection.

I swear I am going to switch providers. This type of stuff has been happening on and off for a couple months now. They redid all the infrastructure going to my house back 6 months ago and it worked great for a while but now it is awful. Edit: Well, I woke up this morning and now it everything is working again... They gotta get this under control.

I am looking to spend about $200 +- $20 for at least 27" and 1080p and have narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities so far. http://www.amazon.com/BenQ-GW2750HM-27-Inch-LED-lit-Monitor/dp/B007HSKSP0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384616532&sr=8-1&keywords=GW2750HM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254093 Are these good? Are there better options out there? Should I risk having no computer to use and wait for black friday?

That is, unless you're pretty sensitive to motion blurring and play fast-panning games all the time. Review here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_gw2750hm.htm Other alternatives pretty much all use TN panels in that price range. TN panel color shifting (even while looking straight on) can be distracting to many people, especially at that larger monitor size, unless you're sitting far back from the screen. And that defeats the purpose of getting a large screen, unless it was just to make stuff readable from farther away because of reasons x/y/z that it can't be placed closer to where you sit? The BenQ uses a *VA with mediocre viewing angles (better than TN) and slowish response times (though many previous models were significantly worse) but good contrast.

Would the motion blurring be roughly comparable? Oh, I forgot it also had to have HDMI input since it is going to be used for my PS3 as well.

Did you try eBay? You might find someone selling exactly your memory kit. There's nothing bad about buying used RAM. Many manufacturers, including G.Skill, trust their stuff enough to give lifetime warranty. If you buy another kit, it will work. You might have to switch the sticks around if it does not want to run stable. There's a whole bunch of secondary timings that are usually not mentioned anywhere, are just inside the memory profile that comes on a chip on the sticks. I think you have to set things up so that the BIOS will find and use the timings of the slower kit first.

Basically think of it as a hybrid motor vs. a V8 -- one is made to save gas, one is made to kick ass.

That's such a ridiculously little amount of power, if you consider a desktop Haswell i5 quad paired with a lowish end GPU will operate on ~84w and ~90w tdp's for removing turbo's (174w between them, an entire order of magnitude more power) Clock Speed 1.9 GHz Max Turbo Frequency 3 GHz Processor Graphics ‡ Intel® HD Graphics 4000 Graphics Base Frequency 350 MHz Graphics Max Dynamic Frequency 1.15 GHz Kinda brutal to be locked at base speeds, they're scarily low
