Hi, sorry if this is the wrong section, my question seems most appropriate here though, anyway...
I have a laptop and normal mouse to play SC2 on, is there any way to change my modifier keys inside or outside of the game. Shift, control and alt are just so awkward for me, I would like to change for instance the shift key to the space bar to make it much easier to make control groups etc.
Is there a way to do this?

In SC2:
Menu -> Hotkeys -> Global -> Control Groups

That doesn't work unfortunately, I mean like is there a way to make the space bar think its the shift key so I could press space + 1 to make a control group, and the game thinks I've pressed shift + 1.

I don't know how you don't see how to do this....
Go where I said and the very first option is "Create Control Group 1 (Control + 1)". You can change that to (Space + 1) if you want or whatever. Do that for 1-9.

That actually does not work. The only way to have modifiers other than ctrl, alt, shift, you have to change it in your windows setup (I don't know the details to it, but its somewhere on the forum). I just use alt instead of ctrl to make control groups personally, its more convenient than spacebar imo. Everything past 5 on the right alt, rest on left alt.

Ah, my apologies, you are correct Masayume.
