How to increase your keyboard repeat rate?

Hallo TL,

i need a way to increase my keyboard repeatrate beyond OS limits.

i recently bought a new keyboard a 6gv2 but the repeatrate seems to be a lot lower then my old keyboards repreat rate(had a speedbutton to increase the repeatrate).

I already maxed out the accessibility options and actually maxed out the registry HKEY variables to increase the repeatrate too but thats still to slow for me.

I wonder if there is any further trick to make your keyboard even faster.

Use the PS/2 port. No computer polling rates will interfere with the performance of your keyboard. It will pretty much operate as quickly as the hardware will allow it to.

i already use the PS/2 Port - and i know that you are able to increase the repeatrate with linux to somewhat around ~200chars/s - so i figured that this might be possible using Windows 7 as well.

there is also a program called keyboard king that is able to do so but this program isnt viable to use because it bugs if it is used within an application or a game.

I think what you're looking for is:

Control panel -> devices and printers -> right click on keyboard and go to keyboard settings

If that is not what you're looking for then I tried, hope that helps though.

Maybe you could make a little guide or so for new zerg players who wanna increase their keyboard speed in every possible way to get better at 300 food pushes. Seems useful.

Keyboard King doesnt work anymore (you can download the Trialprogramm, but you cant purchase it anymore after 30days). Does anyone know a similiar program? The Zowie Celeritas Keyboard has this feature on F keys, without ANY software whatsoever, so it should be no huge effort to creat such a programm. Help^^

BTW: The other Guide here in Teamliquid about that doesnt work as well (im using windows 7). Im sure many ppl her have the same issue as me, speaking of zerg players - a faster repeat rate helps you a ton in lategame.

Sorry for necro, but I think I have solution for OP. try editing this: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Response

This is not the same as editing control panel --> keyboard. I have my AutoRepeatDelay set very fast at 150, primarily so that ghost snipe doesn't bug out. If repeat rate is slow, when you press R and spam left click, but click on an enemy unit too quick after, it will select the unit instead of queuing snipes). Let me know if that doesn't work for you

I doubt it you need the speed you ask for though. The NKRO is extremely overkill for most people. Note: DRG uses a USB DT-35 keyboard. And he has one of the highest EPM in the world. (APM higher than 500 at most intense battles/macro)
