Got a steelseries QCK + and it smells really bad, the whole side of the room has this same smell, hard to describe. Any ideas for getting it to not smell or others with this problem? I like the mousepad in every other way but god it's really bad. Got it on Christmas too.

I always put my mousepads in the washing machine, air dry. Works great.. Haven't washed a QcK+, though I would assume they would be okay. Myn shows up in a couple days ...

I have this mouse pad i believe, but uh it smells great, you just need a new nose or something~

It was brand new, all rolled up etc.

It has a rubbery/plastic smell. I did a search and some other people have noticed the same thing... apparently it goes away after a week or two

Until then I guess it stays outside.

honestly, i like the smell of rubber - it tells me that my mousepad is still fairly new
but it goes away after a few days... :'-(

It's just the fresh new smell of rubber, since its been sealed in its package for awhile. The smell will go away after a week or using and airing it out. I had the same problem, assuming everyone else does too.

Same thing happened with my Ripper XL. I basically let it soak in the sink with some soap and water for a few hours then air dry it. Good luck!

I know exactly what you are talking about and I fixed it by simply "haging it out to dry" for some time
