even after i wash it it starts to accumulate dust 2 days later Just do what i do, damp cloth, rub over it, if you're in the habit of just walking to sink, putting cloth underwater and then squeezing 90% of the water out, it only takes like 15 seconds to do and wiping mousepad is not hard. can do the same for mouse/keyboard, and actually 90% of the reason i have that is because a clean mouse and fingers helps grip so much

I'm using the Abyssus on a 9HD, here's what i got in Enotus mouse test with dpi switch on 1800 and Razer drivers sensitivity at 6.

you should ignore the smoothness and precision tests, they aren't the most reliable things. And you mean 1000 not 1800 right (what your image shows)?
|
I have the switch on the bottom set to 1800, and then in the razer drivers theres a sensitivity slider thing which i set to 6, so that's 1080 dpi.

ah ok, then you aren't exactly getting 3.97m/s but something slightly less than that. Enotus is poor in this way because it rounds in values of 200 only, so ips values aren't always going to be exact if your cpi isn't exactly something divisible by 200. More of an annoyance when I was evaluating the 100s bc steps were in 250 increments so I had to do extra math to get the real numbers and not the ones enotus was giving me.

I just had a mini-flashback to the "who invented APM" thread.
Would you mind uploading a second version that fits the TL forum size (740px I think?) and I'll update the OP?
Also, when did you become staff, wat.

Apparently, the Logitech G9x has been discontinued. There's no info about it anymore on the Logitech website and customer support said on their forums that they are no longer manufacturing them. A shame really, since the new Logitech Gxxxs line doesnt have anything quite like it.

So I went from my Steelseries Kinzu which I liked despite the native acceleration. But I was lacking side button.
Did a bit a research and bought myself a CM Storm Spawn. I knew Cooler Master for their cooling products, not too much about their gaming products. Read some reviews here and there, most people where really enthusiats about this mouse. Few pointed jitters due to lift off distance, but this was fixed by officials firmware with choice according to preference.
I have only used it for 3 days now, I had time to play some (~10 games on sc2, tried it on NS2 and CSGO aswell) and I have to say this mouse is georgeous, it works absolutely prefectly for all this games (I had to fix the LOD too) and for the price I can say i am delighted I bought it (it's fairly cheap) Now, I need to test it on some fast-paced FPS (CPM anyone?) but I would recommend this mouse for anyone with preference for Claw-style or, if you have fairly small hand you could use as you want Paw/Claw (I am myself in that situation)
I have seen many people with G9x needing a new mouse and I would recommend it, the form factor is not too far (But there are a few G9x remaining on the market)

I just bought a SteelSeries Kinzu V2 (matte black one)!
Was using a cheapo Logitech LS1 mouse before this.
Although I miss the extra scrolling back and forwards buttons on the LS1, I have to say the steelseries mouse shape is really comfortable. the extended back of the kinzuv2 kind of lets my palm rest on it nicely, and the gentle sloping shape of the sides really fits my hand well as well.
lastly, i just love matte surfaces :}
would definitely recommend the kinzuv2 to anyone who likes smaller mice and is not looking to spend so much money on gaming gear lol

what do you think of the mouse in general?!
thx in advance!

Sensor performance is better on plastic pads as far as i know
If you don't notice it being bad in particular, you probably wouldn't benefit much from changing, aside from the cloth vs plastic feel. It's more for performance enthusiasts that would want the best mouse surface for the sensor.

So I have a Logitech G400 at the moment, and I just love the shape of it. I have natural fingertip grip, and with the G400 my palm rests just slightly hovering above the mouse on the back of it, and then my fingers then hover slightly above the click buttons. I like the comfortable feel of the back of the mouse being pretty much touching my palm the whole way along, but just slightly below it. However, I really don't like the main click buttons. They feel like there's a big fall distance (?) when you press it to click, and feels 'squishy' rather than a sharp click. It's also pretty heavy for my liking.
This is in comparison the my Kinzu V2 Pro which I also have. The Kinzu is pretty much the polar opposite to the G400 to me. I find it way too flat, with my palm being very high off the mouse, and my hand seems to form a natural almost full claw grip when I use it.The really small width in comparison to the G400 makes my thumb claw rather than rest flat along the side, and seems to make me move it a lot more with just my fingertips rather than more of my hand like the G400. All of which makes it a not very comfortable or nice experience to hold. However, I really like the click buttons. They have a nice sharp click and a small fall distance to them, which is ideal.
Both mice seem kind of tough to click down too, so easier to click would be an added bonus I guess. The weight of the G400 is nice, possibly slightly on the too heavy side.
I hope all that made some sort of sense, do my descriptions of each mouse sound accurate?
So my overall question would be what mouse out there has the shape similar to the G400 (high (at the back) and wide, "chunky") but with the short sharp clicks of the Kinzu? That is also a decent mouse technical wise obviously..
Does the Sensei Raw fit this criteria?

Ok, I've had this mouse since 08 and it finally died, MS Optical Wheel Mouse 1.1a or close to it, as seen on this chart Sadly it seems newegg doesn't have any more and I can't seem to find that style of mouse at generic retailers. I mistakenly bought a MS basic optical mouse in the past which has a different shape (sides curve inwards, slightly shorter and the issue of randomly shooting the cursor upwards) and don't want to make the same mistake. Was the MS Optical Wheel Mouse 1.1a discontinued, or called by another name?

I'm looking to get a new mouse, and I've never used any mice that costed more that $10. I don't care about specs or optimal griping styles. The only thing that matters beyond price is that I don't want it to break when I angrily slam it against my desk (the reason I need a new mouse in the first place).
Any suggestions?

Maybe the Coolermaster Storm Xornet would be of interest to you, as far as i know decent sensor, good shell (rubber grips etc.. of an actual good size)
And just cheap. It's like $25.
If you want to spend more on a mouse though, and get the right surface etc (qck+, 4hd or their equivelants) then there are better options, if you're picky about sensor qualities - and of course, different shells. Don't hate on something until you tried it and played with a ton of different grips, maybe even help with a few pics to get some things right though, i see a lot of people putting what is IMO, far too much weight on the shell of the mouse, and not what is actually inside
