Thats a dangerous thing to say about mice unless you actually use it less than 2 hours a day, a bad shape can cost you RSI. That said, nr.1 rule: if you want durability during rage sessions, don't buy Razer stuff. For me, Logitech mice have been the most durable. Slammed my Logitech G1 and Logitech G9x against the table a couple of times, not a scratch. Recommendations: Logitech G100s / G1(medium size, ambidextrous), Logitech G9x (small and ambidextrous without the shells, somewhat too wide and somewhat ergonomic with them), Logitech G400s (big, ergonomic) Steelseries mice come close second in terms of durability, but I dont particulary like them.

I don't think any legit mouse will give you any issues with RSI or anything unless you are using it incorrectly

I don’t know how big the difference would be, though. It’s not like there are mice with a RSI guarantee. Although a golden mouse would come close, I guess …

very high sensitivity
using it incorrectly
Too high sensitivity will wreck your wrists with any mouse

Does anyone have experience using Perixx Perimice-307B? I am sick of spending £50 on mice that break. I figure the technology is fairly standard, the lasers are probably OEM and I only used 700 dpi out of 5000 odd on the G9x. Can anyone recommend a mouse that is very small (G9X or smaller) wiith 5 buttons that is very cheap?

It looks.. cheap
I would be really concerned about sensor specifics, lift off distance, tracking issues, max tracking speed etc.
Maybe you would also be interested in the Xornet, but it's quite a bit more expensive (and still a tight budget mouse in terms of sensor quality)

hi guys!
i just received my zowie ec2 evo and i have to say, its the best mouse my hands ever got a grip on!
I went through several brands and models...recently the ss sensei raw rubberized - which is a great mouse besides the fact, that it has not the best building quality and a shitty mouse wheel. But its not even close the the zowie!

Tried the Enotus mouse test with my Abyssus, first set the mouse to 1800 dpi from the switch, then to 900 from the drivers and used 6/11 in windows. Max speed was 3.76 m/s.
Next i tried it with the switch on 1800dpi, then 10/10 in drivers so that's 1800, but used 4/11 in windows. This should make it 900dpi, right? Max speed was 4.73 m/s. Also, the mouse test recognized it as 1800dpi, where with the first test it would go to 900 (and then round it up to 1000)

This speeds you’re talking about: did you reach them trying to move your mouse as fast as you could? When you’re playing SC 2 malfunction speeds are much less important than if you played FPS with a really low sensitivity and lots of arm movements and flick shots. When playing SC 2 most don’t exceed 1 m/s, I’d guess. You can test yourself: just play a few games and leave Enotus running in the back ground. Be careful to avoid hectic mouse movements during a loading screen for example, or else you’ll screw up your measurement …

I tested it by moving it as fast as i could both times. In SC2 i don't move even close to 4 m/s, but in CS i might. I use 450dpi, 6/11 in windows and set sensitivity to 2 in CS, but i don't think i would move my mouse over 4 m/s anyway.

1. What's your grip style? its a combo of finger tip and claw I think. The main reason for this is, i have huge hands.
2. What's your sensitivity? I currently run at 1800 DPI on my existing mouse.
3. What's your maximum budget? I am not sure. Dont wanna get a cheap cheap, but dont want anything crazy expensive
4. Do you want additional buttons? No not really.
5. What games do you play? Dota 2.... thats about it :D
6. Do you mind angle snapping? I am not sure?
7. Other relevant information: I currently have a Razer Imperator which I got couple years ago. The left mouse button keeps sticking, and after some googling, it appears to be a very common problem with them. Its becoming very annoying, and its time to get a new mouse! I have very large hands, so I am looking for a mouse in similar size as the Imperator. No small mice please! I do not need all the extra buttons. What I do want is a mouse that will not wear out like my Imperator has after only couple years. I am in the UK.

If you like the shape of the Razer Imperator, you can have a look at the Logitech G400s. Quite similar shape, just a tad bigger. Otherwise, even though i dislike big mice, Steelseries Ikari is one of the most comfortable mice i have tried out. Both are ergonomic for right-handers. If you don't mind ambidextrous, long but slightly more narrow mice, you can take a look at the Zowie AM-GS, I would recommend it over the similar Steelseries mice.

My middle mouse button has finally died once and for all after failing consistently for a couple months, so I'm rebinding it to Ctrl+M4 for now, but this is pretty much my red flag for when to buy a new one. I researched for a while and decided I'm going to try the Logitech G600, it seems like an overall nice mouse.
However, I was looking around on eBay and found a seller offering refurbished G600s for 75% of the price of the new ones. I'm aware it's usually a good deal to buy refurbished gadgets and computer parts, but I'm a little worried this may impact on my mouse's durability, which is a big deal for me.
Have any of you used refurbished mice? How long did it last for?
By the way, how does the G600 fare as far as durability goes? Is it good for fingertip grip?
Thank you for reading.

Has anyone tried the Feenix Nascita mouse? Wondering if it's worth the hefty price tag.

It uses the Avago 9500 laser sensor, which means it will perform very closely (if not identically) to the steelseries xai, logitech g9x etc - it's one of the worst sensors you can buy on the market for consistency, it has no place in a high or even mid-range mouse - So you're basically paying $100 for the Nascita mouse shell - though it comes with a sensor that nobody with both mouse skill and technical knowledge would even consider using
|
Tbh that's pretty much how it goes with all the 'expensive' mice. You are buying the shell and whether or not you get a mouse that performs well is another matter entirely. As a recommendation, if a mouse costs more than $60 I'd be wary of it, chances are it's not worth it. Either you won't use the features, the sensor underperforms, or the shell is just extra $$$ onto the overall tag.
|
Mmm wow how disappointing. I once saw the exact same shell on Newegg, forgot which mouse, for much much cheaper. Kind of weird how Destiny endorses it since he likes to research parts extensively before making the purchase. Guess he's doing it for the sponsors.

Yea he seemed reasonably intelligent with a lot of things. This though, i looked at it before personally because he was using it, and i disagree a LOT with it.
