if it does, razer sens is an ok way to multiply DPI razer abyssus can now use razer synapse 2.0. and I think only razer abyssus has the ability to set to 450dpi, cause others mouse form razer only can have a 100dpi increment which bad. Still seeking answers on how to set my razer death adder 3500dpi to 450dpi. Your question has been answered a few times. Go into the drivers and set to 450cpi. If you have the 4G you can't set it to 450, but either 400 or 500 afaik (sounds like you have the 3.5 tho).
Edit: also, I updated that image a little while back with the 2013 krait, Tipan and Ouroboros, and the Aurora (not yet released). Found, here.

the abyssus 3.5g is not compatible with synapse, only works with the 1800 dpi version

does the kinzu v2 have any sensor issues at 800 dpi? i know it used to have some weird jump bug but they fixed that, right?
|
I have the Razer DeathAdder 3.5G, TL mousepad and use two screens with resoulations 1920x1200 and 1680x1050. I want to have the same sensitivity in SC2 as I have in windows. I have disabled the sensitivity in SC2, and previously I used the old Razer driver to change my sensitivity (the slider, not the DPI changer). However, these drivers/software caused me to get a few bluescreens, so now after I reformatted my main drive, I haven't even installed any mouse drivers/software. Atm I only use Windows 4/11 and nothing else. I don't even know what DPI my mouse is using atm.
Do I need to install any drivers/software? Is using 4/11 bad, and would it be better to set it to 6/11 and try to use Razer software to change it, assuming none of the predefined DPI settings is perfect (I think I can only have like 900, 1800 and 3500 or something)?

The slider in Razer drivers is like a multiplier for your dpi. I set the dpi at 1800 (best performance) and then set the slider to 4.5, which makes it 810 dpi.

Ah ok thanks. I went with the synapse instead of the other driver and here I can change the DPI to every 100. Changed Windows to 6/11 and DPI to 1000 and it feels pretty similar.

It has sensor level acceleration, probably inconsistent, i can't use steelseries opticals at all

My razer salmosa that I've used for the past five years is starting to die now, and I need to get a replacement. What are some mice that would make a suitable replacement for it? I'm not all too picky, I just want something similar in shape and size.
|
Abyssus is quite like the Salmosa, same length and width, but with better sensor.

ok so i just got my xornet+spawn and i love the shape, the ring finger rest makes palming it extremely comfortable. sadly i wont be gaming with this mouse due to its sensor, its a bit too jumpy for my liking.. makes it really hard to have any control over it
its unfortunate because i really love its shape, anywho i kinda know what im looking for now. i need a wide mouse(preferably in the ~110-120mm range) that has a good sensor and good buttons(omron + quick response, kinda like the abyssus), any suggestions?
im currently looking into the ec2/roccat kova+, i heard the ec2 doesnt track well on alot of mousepads so that worrys me(using a 4hd) and i dunno anything about roccat =/

tried the different firmwares?

only v75(xornet). i also dislike the mouse buttons because it doesnt register every click(if u do it fast enough), unlike the abyssus. it makes it harder to shift + gateway spam
|
which one, the xornet or the spawn? The xornet is kind of a cheaper clone of the spawn so the spawn is the better mouse in general (3090, better internals). What were your thoughts on the shape of the Aurora? Maybe the G100s could be an option if you were ok with it?
Roccat is pretty new, but the Savu is generally considered the best mouse in the lineup, not sure it works with your grip style tho. Kova uses the 3305dk-h so no angle snapping, but its pixart so it might feel a little different. Also the Kinzu V2 uses the same sensor (I don't remember that sensor having any accel issues (kinzu v1 had a bad neg accel problem), I never encountered any with my pyra that I could tell).
You could always go full bore and become a frankenmouser haha.

they both have the same switches. the spawn does feel better but i cant get used to the lower dpi speed =/. i feel like the most optimal dpi speed is around 1000 because that way u can split ur army alot faster. any thoughts on the evo ec2? it has a 3090 but i dunno how well itll track on my 4hd

The spawn as far as i know, has like 5-10 different firmwares with different sensor characteristics and specifically different lift off distance, etc, if you didn't try at least 3 or 4 of them, you should - and also a different surface, which surfaces do you have?
And for shift+gateway spam, i might even set up a hotkey to spam the key while left mouse and another key is held down, so you can warp 20 zealots instantaneously, like the scroll wheel infested terran trick that was really widespread for a while and i think even used in some pro games.. not sure on legality though.

This depends VERY much on grip etc.
4hd? I'm pretty sure spawn and many other optical sensors perform better on black cloth (like the qck+ or maybe a goliathus, though it's different) and characteristics are extremely different on a vast amount of sensors on cloth vs plastic

i have a 4hd and a hayate. i stopped using my hayate because it had too much friction, shit accumulates too much dust
|
Yea its easy to forget that the shell has an important effect on how a switch feels as well.
I wouldn't say the Hayate has too much friction, but i completely understand what you're getting at. Artisan pads have a very different feel than pretty much every other pad out there (lots of tactile response, but lots of glide as well). Can't speak of the dust thing tho, I clean my pad probably once a week so I haven't found this to be an issue. The evo series are better from what I remember (3090 upgrades), the ec2 is smaller than the ec1 and both has huano switches, but haiiyaa seemed ok with the feel of them overall.
I've been curious as to how mice would generally perform on other, less known cloth pads like the Roccat Taito and the CM CS- pads (they seem more interesting than other options).
|
yea but wat concerns me the most is whether or not itll track fine on my 4hd, ive yet to see 1 post that talks about its performance on a 4hd
|

Accumulates dust? I just wipe over with a damp cloth a couple times a day, like the other shit my hands touch at desk
People don't review across pads much, because the performance variation is so massive. As a rule, most opticals perform FAR better on black cloth and most lasers FAR better on plastic, i wouldn't even consider using a spawn on a 4hd, actually i dont even have a plastic pad because most of the mice that perform better on them have awful sensor issues, the avago 9500/9800 etc that i can't use because of the inconsistent (net positive accel but all over the place) tracking
|
dunno but my hayate is a huge dust magnet, even after i wash it it starts to accumulate dust 2 days later. are any of the new artisan pads any good?(zero etc.) im prob gonna tryout the ec2 w/ a fast artisan clothpad
