No it doesn't light up when plugged in any of my usb's on any computer. It did once. Went to bed and never again. It doesn't say what model it is except the copyright is 2012 and the inside cover says they upgraded the sensor from 3.5 to 4.0.

I'm pretty sure only the 2013 comes with a 4g sensor, but it's impossible to miss the text on the bottom of the mouse. It's the biggest text on there :d I'm a little puzzled. Regardless if it's not lighting up, that's shouldn't be a driver problem, it sounds like it fried somehow... First I've heard of something like that.

Try your luck with Razer support, they've gotten kind of good at this stuff. Practice makes perfect I guess ;p

Oh on the mouse itself. I thought you meant the box because that's the only thing I could see when I was purchasing it and that is when I didn't know it was a 2013 DA. But yes underneath the mouse, after I opened the box, I can read that it is DA 2013.

Just wanna give a comparison of my mice purely in terms of comfort. I use a fingertip grip with just a little bit of palm below the pinky. Also only using a qck+ mousepad.

Clicking: Zowie Mico (heavier resistance, but feels really great, super solid quality) > CM Storm Spawn (light resistance, very good quality > Logitech g9x (fairly good quality) > Razer Abyssus (feels very cheap, but works well anyway).

Shape (for SC2): Zowie Mico (even though I have larger than average hands, the shape is absolutely perfect for fingertip grip; can tell this was made for rts) > Logitech g9x without shell (excellent shape for control, really good that it's narrow, but not as comfortable as the Mico since it was built to be used with shells) > CM Storm Spawn (very comfortable, but personally I need the ring finger to be on the side at the same vertical height as the thumb to have perfect control) > Razer Abyssus (can be uncomfortable for the ring finger which gets caught a little between right click and the mouse; still fairly comfortable though).

Then for me there is a difference in comfort for rapid back and forth movements (e.g. boxing workers in sc2). It's kinda hard to explain why, so I won't: Logitech g9x > Razer Abyssus > Zowie Mico > CM Storm Spawn (reason for being last is bulkiness + asymmetrical shape).

For FPS: I'd probably go with the CM Storm Spawn because the shape is fine for that, still very comfortable and the best sensor out of these mice.

For Claw Grip: I'd also probably go with the CM Storm Spawn because finger control and symmetry is less important.

I got some random Randopad GLiDX feet from ebay, some Chinese seller for like 3 Euros. They are amazing and there were 2 pairs in the package. You don't have to pay premium for mouse feet, just search ebay and get the cheapest.

My DA is approaching it's last few clicks (my left click has started bugging out) so I'm on the look out for another one. I had planned on getting the g100s or the g400s, but if you have any other ones to point me towards i'd be happy to consider them. I want to try something different than the DA, cus theoretically it doesn't really fit me. I use a finger/claw grip, I am really reluctant to go over the price of the g400s, which is about 80-90$ for me in Norway.

Currently banking on the g100s

My mouse just started doing this:
+ Show Spoiler +
[image loading]

It's a CM Storm Inferno, bought in November. It used to do this only on the highest dpi setting, now it does it across all of them. Is this a crappy sensor or is there anything I can do about it? Is this something that's covered by warrenty?

Has anyone here used a logitech g600 mouse? I have heard that it has issues with games(mostly SC2 and LOL) but I want to find out if they have been fixed. I really want this mouse but I play a lot of LOL and SC2 and the issue is connected to rapidly right clicking so my two main games would make those problems very apparent -_-.

It could be a crappy sensor. It uses a Philips PLN 2031, which I don't know much about. You could try and see if it works better on another mouse pad.

Thanks for the link. Some of the info is surprisingly honest coming from a Logitech employee. Not a whole lot new stuff to learn for me personally, but a must-see for all the uneducated people who advocate absurdly high dpi or come to the forums for advice and then end up denying useful facts when people try to help them improve.

to anyone who knows anything about mouse technology this isn't entirely new, though it does have some important points to make that were somewhat nebulous, and present some ideas about certain kinds of tracking errors or problems (one being the HF LF ripple behavior).

hey guys, so my 3.5g Razer Deathadder is dying or to be honest the thumb button I use for "push to talk" broke today.

I really liked the mouse but now I'm thinking about what mouse should be my next. I used logitech mice (like the mx518) before the deathadder and while I liked them back in the day my deathadder just felt way better.

Right now I'm thinking about getting the new Deathadder, a Mamba or a Kone. I've had a kone in my hands in a store a while back and it seemed nice too (I liked the razer mice better but I guess that's because they have similar shapes and I use my deathadder every day).

I can't find many reviews of the 2013 deathadder and it's sensor and I can't find any new stuff about the mamba. When I thought about giving the mamba a chance a while back there was an issue with the sensors but I think it was solves with the newer firmware versions.

Does anyone of you know both mice (perhaps had a mamba and switched to the new deathadder) and can give me some feedback on those two?

I recently got the CM Xornet and here are my thoughts for anyone interested. Much of it will apply to the Storm Spawn. Its surprisingly big or rather wide. Its not small enough to cup in your hands as you would with a G9x or Optical Mini and this makes repositioning it slightly more cumbersome. But the finger rest on the right makes it very good for hybrid palm/fingertip. Your hand can mostly rest on it comfortably. The build quality is outstanding for a $20 mouse. The materials, the buttons, the tracker. The side is rubber which is good when you pinch the mouse with your thumb. The main pointer switches are soft plastic and tacky enough for your finger to stick but not so much that it rubs if you move it around. The rest of the material seems to be oil and sweat resistant. The side buttons are at the very top and raised, so you do not interfere with them when resting your thumb. My impression is that they put a good deal of thought into it. It is very encouraging for anyone interested in Cooler Master products. There are 3 DPI options and no software to adjust sensitivity - that is why the Storm Spawn may be more attractive for others. I can't really judge how well it tracks yet but it feels good. If you can get past DPI as an indicator of a mouses quality and accuracy as the Logitech technician stated then I think this mouse is about as good as they get and for the price it is an outstanding proposition.

I'm wanting to upgrade from my logitech g1 but im not entirely sure what i want to get...

I would ideally like something that has a very similar shape.

Anyone upgraded from a g1 in the past and happy with their purchase? What did you get?

Logitech G100s? I think it's the same shape. Razer Abyssus might be similar too, with an awesome sensor.

Thanks, Yeah you're right they're basically the same shape.

What about steelseries sensei raw?

I'm going to decide between the abyssus and sensei raw I think.

I'd say go for the Abyssus or the G100s, those are both very similar to the G1. The Sensei is quite a bit bigger and heavier than the G1 and has issues concerning acceleration inconsistencies.
