It doesn't say what model it is except the copyright is 2012 and the inside cover says they upgraded the sensor from 3.5 to 4.0. I'm pretty sure only the 2013 comes with a 4g sensor, but it's impossible to miss the text on the bottom of the mouse. It's the biggest text on there :d I'm a little puzzled. Regardless if it's not lighting up, that's shouldn't be a driver problem, it sounds like it fried somehow... First I've heard of something like that. Try your luck with Razer support, they've gotten kind of good at this stuff. Practice makes perfect I guess ;p

Clicking: Zowie Mico (heavier resistance, but feels really great, super solid quality) > CM Storm Spawn (light resistance, very good quality > Logitech g9x (fairly good quality) > Razer Abyssus (feels very cheap, but works well anyway). Shape (for SC2): Zowie Mico (even though I have larger than average hands, the shape is absolutely perfect for fingertip grip; can tell this was made for rts) > Logitech g9x without shell (excellent shape for control, really good that it's narrow, but not as comfortable as the Mico since it was built to be used with shells) > CM Storm Spawn (very comfortable, but personally I need the ring finger to be on the side at the same vertical height as the thumb to have perfect control) > Razer Abyssus (can be uncomfortable for the ring finger which gets caught a little between right click and the mouse; still fairly comfortable though). Then for me there is a difference in comfort for rapid back and forth movements (e.g. boxing workers in sc2). It's kinda hard to explain why, so I won't: Logitech g9x > Razer Abyssus > Zowie Mico > CM Storm Spawn (reason for being last is bulkiness + asymmetrical shape). For FPS: I'd probably go with the CM Storm Spawn because the shape is fine for that, still very comfortable and the best sensor out of these mice. For Claw Grip: I'd also probably go with the CM Storm Spawn because finger control and symmetry is less important.

I got some random Randopad GLiDX feet from ebay, some Chinese seller for like 3 Euros. They are amazing and there were 2 pairs in the package. You don't have to pay premium for mouse feet, just search ebay and get the cheapest.

+ Show Spoiler + It's a CM Storm Inferno, bought in November. It used to do this only on the highest dpi setting, now it does it across all of them. Is this a crappy sensor or is there anything I can do about it? Is this something that's covered by warrenty? T_T

T_T It could be a crappy sensor. It uses a Philips PLN 2031, which I don't know much about. You could try and see if it works better on another mouse pad.

Thanks for the link. Some of the info is surprisingly honest coming from a Logitech employee. Not a whole lot new stuff to learn for me personally, but a must-see for all the uneducated people who advocate absurdly high dpi or come to the forums for advice and then end up denying useful facts when people try to help them improve.

I really liked the mouse but now I'm thinking about what mouse should be my next. I used logitech mice (like the mx518) before the deathadder and while I liked them back in the day my deathadder just felt way better. Right now I'm thinking about getting the new Deathadder, a Mamba or a Kone. I've had a kone in my hands in a store a while back and it seemed nice too (I liked the razer mice better but I guess that's because they have similar shapes and I use my deathadder every day). I can't find many reviews of the 2013 deathadder and it's sensor and I can't find any new stuff about the mamba. When I thought about giving the mamba a chance a while back there was an issue with the sensors but I think it was solves with the newer firmware versions. Does anyone of you know both mice (perhaps had a mamba and switched to the new deathadder) and can give me some feedback on those two?

I would ideally like something that has a very similar shape. Anyone upgraded from a g1 in the past and happy with their purchase? What did you get?

Thanks, Yeah you're right they're basically the same shape. What about steelseries sensei raw? I'm going to decide between the abyssus and sensei raw I think.

I'd say go for the Abyssus or the G100s, those are both very similar to the G1. The Sensei is quite a bit bigger and heavier than the G1 and has issues concerning acceleration inconsistencies.
