1. What's your grip style? fingertip 2. What's your sensitivity? 800 dpi 3. What's your maximum budget? $150 4. Do you want additional buttons? Don't need it. 5. What games do you play? Sc2 only. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? No angle snapping. 7. Other relevant information: I would like: Not heavier/larger than g9x (w/o shell), better sensor, prefer low resistance clicking but not a necessity. The spawn is too bulky for me (mainly the height; better for claw than fingertip i.m.o.). I might just go and buy the abyssus and mico to give them a try, but would appreciate any advice, thx.
I bought the cheap Perixx 307 as a temporary measure. Needless to say it is indeed cheap but performs quite well. The laser seems fine and the sensitivity is about right which is good for me because there are only two dpi options. The lift off range is essentially zero. It performs well for a £9 mouse but the build quality is massively inferior to the G9x I was using. That was noticeably heavier, the buttons in particular felt nicer (although the small buttons on the side of the base g9x without a shell annoyed me), the scroll wheel was much higher quality and was tilt able. I'm thinking of getting the Xornet that was recommended - the price has gone down to £17 on amazon. My main concern is that it might be a little wide. I use a claw grip and mostly move the mouse between with my thumb and third fingier almost exclusively. I really enjoy a small and narrowish mouse but just dont want to spend lots of money. Unfortunately, most mouses feel horribly oversized to me.

Abyssus and MiCo are pretty much your options. You could look into the G100, wo1fwood did a review here. From personal experience, the MiCo does take getting used to (the omron switch is stiffer than most mice) but it should be easier to get used to with a fingertip grip (easier to press down) than others.
I can recommend the Abyssus, and MiCO seems really good too. You can set the Abyssus to 800 dpi by using the driver, set the dpi switch on the bottom to 1800 and "sensitivity" in drivers (which is actually a multiplier for your dpi) to 4.5. You get 810 dpi. Or, if you don't want to use the drivers you can set the dpi to 1800 and use 4/11 in windows which makes it 900, and that's fairly close.
Would like to add something to the people that wrote "critics" on Razer DeathAdder. This mouse is indeed really fragile. I broke the scroll wheel on my first death adder (Almost one year and a half). Clicked on it and it broke. Mouse still working but no scroll wheel. So i bought a new one (not the 2013) and i have some issue with the scroll wheel again(6month old). It's like something is braking it (The scroll became a little harder to roll). The mouse is clean (i cleaned it) but it's still happening. And since that, i can push the scroll wheel from left to right for a few millimeters with a sound click. Also scrolling make a noise like something is touching it. It's not really loud (can't hear it if you don't pay attention) but it's still there.
It's still a great mouse but be aware that it's a really fragile one (i never stroke it on the table. My Lycosa is here for receiving my punch when i get 6pooled and can't defend it). So it's normal use only with no hit on it.
Also it's not really good if you have small hands. My GF find it really heavy and big, so she bought something else.
I have a 1st gen DA since it came out, thinking of getting the new DA 2013 (even if I don't find it too comfortable but I am afraid or changing it). The corsair M65 looks good too, which one would you recommend for a fingertip/claw (or even palm grip if the mouse alllows it)? Any other suggestions?

I'm looking at getting either a Roccat Kova+, a Roccat Kone+ or a Shogun Bros Ballista MK1. Any experience with these products or other suggestions?
I'd like something either lightweight or (preferably) with adjustable weighting system. Palm grip I think will be less uncomfortable than claw.
Thanks.
What kind of sensitivity do you use? DPI, settings in windows mouse options, screen resolution
I think you're going about things the wrong way and should probably look towards lower sens (which is much less reliant on wrist) and not palm. Too high sens is one of the easiest ways to cause discomfort or issues with wrist
The consensus seems to be that A3909 are the best performing laser and the CM Storm spawn is the best choice for finger grips. Given that isn't available in the UK I might just get the Cooler Master Recon....its only £40, looks small, has side buttons and my understanding is it also uses the same laser (unlike the Xornet). I would like to hear Cyros thoughts on that mouse or anyone who knows what they are talking about?
The Razer Salmosa Asian edition is selling for £14 on ebay and looks like its the perfect size for me but I think its only 125hz and has always on acceleration.
I dont know about firmware specifics etc of the recon, it could perform vastly different. Xornet was something silly like £17 with the same shell and a sensor that i think was a lot worse but still passable if you didn't play FPS at a high level, but i never wanted to get one myself so didn't look into it a ton
Hm. Not sure if this is the right thread, but I'll go ahead. What's going with this whole Synapse 2.0 thing with Razer? I can't seem to get my new Death Adder working. Loved my first one (3.5?), but it was starting to breakdown and so I bought another, but I guess it's the 2013 version with higher dpi, etc- didn't realize there were different versions.
But I can't get it working! It auto-installed on my computer (I thought), then it worked. I went to sleep, came back and the computer wouldn't recognize the mouse. Tried it on the laptop and it still would recognize it on any usb port. Downloaded the Synapse 2.0 (which apparently spies on you for Razer) and got to the stage where it says 'Please connect a Razer Synapse 2.0 enabled device.' But once again, no matter which usb I try, nothing happens.
First off, it should tell you what model it is on the bottom. Should say RAZER DeathAdeer 2013 if it is the 2013. The mouse wheel looks very different, so I figured you'd have noticed. Second, it should at least basically function without the drivers all the same. You only need the Synapse 2.0 drivers if you want to configure the side buttons, lift off distance etc.
Is the mouse lighting up at all when plugged in? Eeasiest solution is to contact support. The new drivers in my experience work just fine too.
