I wanted to watch the GOM team invitational: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=160949
But they say i need to download the new gom player, and then the socalled GOM streamer.
Have anyone had any success with this?
Edit: This seems to work:

Got the same problem, can anyone help?
|
The GOM streamer is installed when you try to stream to the newest GOM player. Simply make sure you have the latest version, run it, and another window will pop up installing the streamer.
|
Yeah, the streamer install window is popping up, but then i simply get an error message saying fail and that i can download the setup file from goms web page.
I'm on windows 7, dont know if that is a problem.

Yep, exact same problem for me

I had the same problem. That link worked for me.
|
I had the error message a couple of times but on the third attempt it worked for me.
Might just be my internet not sucking for once but I have to say that the stream seems a lot more stable now than it was during GSL 1, hope its thanks to the new streaming method though.
|
I think there aren't as much viewers (especially outside of Korea) during the Teamleague as there were for the GSL 1 and that's why the stream is more stable. Of course I hope, GOMTV proves me wrong .

This seem to work!

AntiVir Guard is detecting GOMTVStreamerLive.exe as an adware, seeing patterns of that.
Should I worry?

The problem could be that it needs admin rights to execute correctly , but it doesnt ask for it. Using the /User - path makes sure it automatically has admin rights, if the user in whos path you install it has these rights.

hm i run WinXP, with admin rights, gettign the same error. Also there is no file called "GomTVStreamer\GrLauncherTempSetup.exe" on my PC
only "GRLAUNCHERTEMPSETUP.EXE-181B5C0F.pf" in the folder C:\windows\prefetch
i have the gretech/gomtvstreamer folders, but theres only two .ini files and a GRlauncher.exe which only gives a "parameter error"
any ideas?

Sorry bumping this old topic, but I tried everything here and I'm still stuck. I tried to redownload the gomplayer and the streamer and manually install that and nothing. I couldn't find the GomTVStreamer\GrLauncherTempSetup.exe file too. Using google and nothing helpful yet.

Same with alec here, i can't figure out what to do. I find the streamer via search on my computer but when i go to launch the .exe i get a parameter error. help!

Why is this thread getting no love? I have the same problem, cant watch GSL live cause of parameter error, also cant watch all vods because paypal isnt supported in serbia... sadface.jpg..

I now get as it failed to install gomtv streamer you cannot play the video. Had this problem a week ago and found no solution, but now that they've shut down VLC I can't watch at all.
I've tried manually installing the streamer from the Gomlab link, which didn't work, and I have no GRETECH folder in appdata. Can't get it to work in WINE either. I'm really tired of dealing with GOM's illegal software, but still want to watch GSL.
EDIT: Fuck it just installed another emulated version of windows. That seemed to work. I pity anyone who's run into this on a main Windows install. It happened to me after uninstalling the korean client and installing the english one. I don't think the streamer uninstalled cleanly in this case.

I got the same problem as well! I do not have a temp install thing in the appdata folder either

Thanks for this thread, and the people in it. No way I would have worked it out without it.
Cheers.

I'm having this same issue. Tried uninstalling, using the direct link for the streamer, etc. I also have no "GRLaunchertempsetup.exe", and no Gretech folder in the appdata directory either. Any ideas? This is really frustrating.

In-browser GOM VODs are not working on my work computer (Safari OSX 10.6) while they work fine at home on my OSX 10.5 in Safari. I think it's a network setting (I also can't download SC2 - where do I activate/unblock ports? I'm not an expert on this stuff)... Any advice?

Bumping this thread because I now have the same problem. I have already tried all the things in this thread as well as the ones in this thread When I try to run the C:\Users\:windowsUserName:\AppData\Roaming\GRETECH\GomTVStreamer\GrLauncherTempSetup.exe I get a: Parameter Error box, and then nothing Happens T.T

As much as I hate to bump a dead thread, I have the same problem, and I can't watch the finals.
I have this exact same problem.
Any help?
Hey I fixed it, uninstall GOM Streamer, then try and it worked for me.
