I watch the SQ stream and when I open GOM I get: " Cannot play this media file. Error code:0x00000051
-Confirm location path of the media file. -This media file is possible to be not supportable or to be damaged. -Confirm that appropriate codec is installed to play this media file.
OK
Just reinstalled latest version and downloaded the streamer thing...

Wait wtf it works now, anyway I still think if anyone knows of a proper fix they should say it as it may happen again and others may still be having a problem.
|
Shit it froze and I got it again

Roffles... that's as much of a hint as ill give you >.>

I have the same error, any advice would be great... Nevermind, thank you for ROFLLES ing at me... for once, i'm glad to have a StreaM of laughter directed my way...

Their website clearly states that because this is a test stream there could be issues. Therefore I feel like threads like these are unnecessary. On top of that you're always better off using their forums for problems like this, after all it is their software.
My personal advice: Keep trying, I had the same problem. It will work after a number of tries.

Keep trying. It's called a test stream for a reason. Not everything is gonna work flawlessly during test runs.
I personally think the test stream sucks as much as it did before though, and even when you do connect it has serious connectivity issues. Before, as long as you got on during the first wave, your stream would be fine albeit the terrible quality.
But hey, it's why they're testing it. Some people say it's pretty good, but I'm not convinced yet myself.
|
Worked for me only after I updated GOM player to the latest version. Press F1 and make sure it's up to date.
|
The quality of the stream was pretty bad
|
I got the same problem. S: hopefully it will work tonight!

If you are getting that error, download the latest version of GomPlayer (don't hit the update button, download a fresh copy).
After that, when you hit the stream button, it should ask you install Gom Streamer. It will then download the Gom Streamer. If you are like me though, it will throw you another error ><.

Pretty sure other streams use Octoshape as well so at least you'll be ready for that.

Downloading the newest version of the gom player worked for me.

I believe the "Cannot view live" error is caused by internet explorer. This is when you hit the button to view the stream right?
|
On day 1 (not sure if it changed now) there was any easy fix. Apparently the gom player looks for a cookie from IE (internet explorer) whether you are logged in. So you need to log in with the IE before starting the stream. You can still start the stream from any other browser in case you get the "no live" error in IE, just log in with IE as well.

Uninstall, download from the website, http://www.gomtv.net/sc2_teaminvi.php, install, enjoy
Fixed here...
It worked perfectly... I had the latest version (acording to F1) but after pressing play for 20 minutes I decided that something is wrong with the client i had installed from season 1.

If you get errors installing Gom TV streamer, find the installation program at:
C:\Users\:windowsUserName:\AppData\Roaming\GRETECH\GomTVStreamer\GrLauncherTempSetup.exe
You should be able to start the stream then.
|
I got the stream working...but it's the Korean commentary. Is there no English commentary yet or something? And yes I downloaded and ran the live from the english site gomtv.net

The stream works fine if you don't have any software filtering your internet activity like I did. Once I disabled some additional security I don't really need it worked like a charm.

Yes - this is what finally fixed it for me. Thank you!
Was getting Error 51 trying to connect. Was on version 2.1.26.5021 but trying to update from within the program didn't work - it said it was the latest version. So uninstalled and downloaded the latest (2.1.27.5031) from http://www.gomlab.com/eng/GMP_download.html
Then when connecting it told me it needed to install Streamer, but that always failed. This suggestion to manually run C:\Users\:windowsUserName:\AppData\Roaming\GRETECH\GomTVStreamer\GrLauncherTempSetup.exe was the final piece of the puzzle.
Thanks again!

I downloaded the latest version, and it worked.

I've downloaded the latest GOM player, and \GomTVStreamer\ and its subsequent does not exist.
The GRETECH folder is there, but its just got a couple of notepad files inside it. This is driving me fucking nuts, pay for HQ stream and cant watch anything because of their shitty player

I tried to connect to watch the Season 2 opener but I am having problems. I logged in and had already bought my Season 2 pass. However, when I tried to play the stream GOMplayer told me that a connection could not be established because there was either a firewall or because I am not connected to the interwebs. The code is 0x00000071. Because I am using my own personal PC on my home network, I can rule out #1 since I don't have a firewall set up and #2 can be ruled out by the fact that i am able to post this. Please help guys!
