He's not talking about the Alias people, he's talking about his real ID, for instance John Smith. For instance if someone gets a divorce and doesn't want to use the name, or goes through a sex change, they won't want to be constantly reminded. I'm sure if you changed your name, they will change your name just hit up customer service.

I put a fake name in when I made my account a long while ago because I didn't expect it would be that important/unchangeable. I don't think real ID has done anything positive for me.

They aren't.

You will have to contact customer support and they will ask for proof, i.e. copies of the papers about the name change etc. Shouldn't cost anything to change it.

You can, i personally did it. They will ask you a scan of your ID card from your country, the answer of your secret question, your email and your account name(an email too)

hmm.. I emailed them to change Tomas to Tomáš and they changed it, so dunno. But probably this is a major change ^^

i've done a mistake switching my first with second name registering my account
loggin in into mine b.net account i've been able to request the change thru a form
on the answer (received into my mail account) they requested via mail a scannered image of the original ID to correct it
i havan't sent it yet (after months) but the change seems allowed even thru this burocratic method

But which mail adress? Tried some different and cant get the right one it seems.
