![]() PC: Memory: 2x2gb ddr3 CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE (3.2ghz) GPU: Asus Ati Radeon HD5870 PSU: Antec Earthwatts 650W Motherboard: Asus M4AT-M/USB3 Case: Antec Three Hundred OS: Windows 7 x64 500gb hard disk drive at 7200rpm 5.1 surround sound setup Apple wired keyboard Microsoft Sidewinder X3 (microsoft mice have never let me down) Screen: Samsung Syncmaster 2233sn 21.5" 1920*1080 Macbook: 13.3" screen CPU: 2.26ghz core2duo Memory: 2gb ddr3 GPU: nvidia geforce 9400m (for epic suckage) Battery Life: approx. 5 hours, which is way more than a conventional laptop, and more than a netbook with a 3-cell battery. Apple Magic Mouse Apple bluetooth keyboard. I rarely use the mac for gaming, I bought it mainly for mobile use. SC2 runs on the lowest possible resolution, everything set to "low", but even then it's not too reliable in big battles. Magic Mouse + gaming = big no. The macbook is by far the best and so far most reliable laptop I've ever bought, but I wouldn't want a mac as a desktop. It's just too expensive and My PC is able to run Metro 2033 maxed out (except Advanced DoF) without too much trouble (30 fps minimum, which is fluid enough for a non-competitive, single player game). I'm incredibly fond of mac keyboards. I've never typed on anything better (that didn't cost more than €60). Same for the Sidewinder. Probably not the best gaming mouse out there, but I looked for something that flowed better than my old standard laser mouse (from microsoft), but still looked casual, since I don't like Razer's designs and pricing that much). The Sidewinder is also perfect for the grips I use (I vary between palm and claw depending on the circumstances). At 2000dpi it's not slow, but not too sensitive either. I spent a whole lot on both setups (more than I like, in hindsight), and I'm now looking to not spend anything on tech at all for a few months.. My savings account hasn't got enough money on it. Tech is a cool hobby, but sure as hell an expensive one. I hope my PC will last me for at least another three years. Oh yeahn the books on the right are: With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa, by Eugene B. Sledge (Dutch translation): read this book and I assure you that you'll never, ever want to either go to war or experience it -and while your at it, watch "The Pacific" by Spielberg and Hanks. Collapse, by Jared Diamond (Dutch translation): incredibly good read if you're interested in the decline of civilisations seen from a ecological point of view. Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand: the book on which Bioshock was based. Still need to finish it, but it's been a good read so far.

"Dirty" power in a house is pretty common....and almost unfixable, because it's usually on the service side of your house/aka, power company. If, however, it is like you say, and is only in a corner of your house, then that means that something else is on that circuit, like an AC unit or other device with a motor, you have a loose connection somewhere, or a few other problems, most of which are really hard to diagnose. The simplest solution, though, is just to get a UPS, aka, battery backup. It automatically conditions the power for you unless you get a really cheap pos, as it provides you with a solid steady 120(or w/e the voltage is for you) off of battery power instead of directly from your house power. That should fix just about any problems you have with power quality. Actually "fixing" the power in your house would usually require a quite expensive setup that continually monitors your power, and runs it through filters and such, and usually are more trouble than they are worth just for something like a set of headphones.
