Starcraft switches to qwerty?

Hi everyone

I've been having a small problem that really screws up my game , sometimes when i'm playing my starcraft will change the keyboard from AZERTY to QWERTY without me doing much, this means I have to type in qwerty but also that all the hotkeys are changed.

Last time it happened i thought it was because of some weird key combination I pressed. However a second ago, i selected 8 stalkers and moved them to the front line , just dragging a box over them and clicking once with my right mouse button.
Then when i wanted to select my zealots the stalkers didn't deselect but i started queuing up commands. I had to wait a few seconds before i could select other units and after that everything was Qwerty again

I browsed through the options screen without really finding anything. Did anyone else have a problem of similar sort or am i the only one?
Oh and the only way i can resolve this is by shutting down starcraft and restarting it.

And i wasn't sure if i should have placed it in tech support or not but because only the in game settings changed and nothing else i thought it would belong here

Shift-alt is the key combination windows uses to change languages/input. If you remove the other keyboard layouts and only leave the one you use it will no longer be able to switch.

You can remove it from the language bar, or through regional settings in your control panel.

I had the problem with it changing layouts as well, I think it's because you press Ctr-Shift ingame on accident ? atleast that was my problem, so I disabled the button combi for it, then it was all good

You can check for the shortcut and disable/change it by going to (on USA Vista, should be the same in 7):

Control Panel > Regional and Language Settings > Keyboards and Languages tab > Change Keyboards... > Advanced Key Settings

If you don't use the key shortcuts, you might as well disable them so they don't mess you up in other applications as well.

You can also just disable the toggling hotkey, and replace it with language-specific hotkeys (I'm not sure if that's what you meant in the second paragraph). I have all my languages hotkeyed as Left ALT + SHIFT + #. That way it's almost impossible to accidentally switch in a game. Granted I purposely switch to type sometimes and forget to switch back, but that's my own fault for typing. I'll probably go back to just blocking chat at the beginning of each game so I don't feel the need to reply to people.

Wow, for years I have always had a problem where my keyboard would "bug out" and some keys would start giving out weird accented letters. This post made me realize that this was not a bug but instead a result of me having my push to talk key assigned to alt and activating the alternative keyboard. Now that I've removed the other keyboard settings hopefully I'll never have this problem again, thanks!

I just changed it , let's hope that was the problem and nothing else ^^ It really screws up your game if you have to think about every hotkey you press
