And on this, gaming on two monitors is highly discouraged, since the part of the screen you need most (you know, the middle) is kind of split up.
Multiples of 3 are the most typical for Eyefinity/3DSurround.

You suggest he bounces up to an OCable build and don't throw in a CPU cooler? That's the main reason I suggested ease of use type stuff instead. Plus of course, not everybody wants to OC. Don't remember if he did or not. Hard to squeeze it all in the budget without sacrificing.

i forgot to put that edit: i think that i made it :p

AH okay, and well I just want to know what i should buy for what i need since i am not sure what to buy. I can build it, just dont know what to get... Is this not the right thread for that?
edit: and the gaming is only on one screen... I was just curious. I have never done it and wasn't sure exactly so... I would never game on 2 screens :/

Yes, this is the right thread, but deals and prices change weekly, and new components are always coming out.
Thus, the last couple of pages can give you a solid general idea, but for specifics, come back when you're planning to order within a week.

Ah.. I see. Okay well I'll come back and repost that when i have a confirmed answer. thats alright? thank you for clarifying.

Yeah, best time is when you're ready to order. Basically, as long as you don't dither on components for one build for 20 posts, ask the same question hoping for a new answer a few times, or make 5 separate threads, nobody minds.

I wouldn't mind if it was able to OC, as I've never done it before but would like to try it.

That's just not a good price there, considering there's no need for a 600W unit. Given the price and the earlier suggestion, I was expecting that to be the GS600 (a little better) rather than the CX600 V2. Also not all those parts in stock I think. Look for items with green bars. There's not particularly anything worth upgrading for a small price bump though. You could get a motherboard with USB3 support if plan to use USB3 later, maybe. Soo.. I'll bump my last post as I guess it just got overread in the heated discussion =)
I picked the cheaper PSU in the Amazon 450W. Is this the right one?

And as you pointed out the ASRock61 mainboard isn't in stock at the onlineshop atm. Could you suggest an alternative please?
Also what case should I be looking for? I have 30 Euro left.
Once again big thanks to all helpers involved in this process :-)

Yes, thats the PSU I meant with the Amazon.
The Asrock h61m-VS is in stock again, but if you want USB 3 you could go for the MSI H61MU-E35
As a case this would be a decent choise if you dont thinik its ugly.

I'm probably the definition of the term "Technical Noob", so I basically need help for everything! This is my first time building a PC!
I've played Diablo II since I can remember and I recently purchased SC2, unfortunetaly my system can't even play it in-game and barely loads the menus.
What is your budget? The more saved the better but my range is $1000 to $1500 (without shipping costs). I want an overall PC that can last me a few years and be able for my needs below.
What is your resolution? I plan on using dual monitors that are 1920x1080 or 1020 which I have an ideal product below.
What are you using it for? First priority is gaming for future game Diablo III and Starcraft II. I also use Photoshop CS5 Extended.
What is your upgrade cycle? Overall I plan to use this computer for a few years, 5+ if this is realistic? I like to be conservative with my money.
When do you plan on building it? As soon as possible, would ultimately like between September 16-23(hopefully). By the end of September at the latest.
Do you plan on overclocking? I'm not sure, if it's suggested for my needs provided above then an absolute yes. If not needed, no.
Do you need an Operating System? Yes, I am wanting to use Windows 7 which I'll have to purchase as well.
Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? I'm not sure with this too, if it's needed for my needs, an absolute yes. If not needed, no.
Where are you buying your parts from? NXIC.com
I think this is a good start but Im not sure...

... well that would be your problem if you don't have the 4+4pin connected since that provides power to your CPU. The power supply provides this 4+4 pin connector (sometimes its a 4pin for ATX and 8pin for EPS) so you don't need any sort of adapter.
The HDD only has SATA power and SATA data. The left is a jumper which is not a connection. So is it possible to put the 8pin into the 4pin slot, you know like half of it or would there be a voltage problem of some sort?

No. Any $1000 to $1500 configuration without an SSD is a poorly optimized configuration.
The G500 can be pricematched to $54. Hyper 212+ can also be pricematched to $23.
Paying for 1600MHz memory is a waste of money. 1333MHz is less expensive: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=55544&promoid=1371
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/memory/display/sandy-bridge-ddr3.html http://www.anandtech.com/show/4503/sandy-bridge-memory-scaling-choosing-the-best-ddr3 http://techreport.com/articles.x/20377
Paying for a UD4 is a waste of money.
Earthwatts 650w is okay but if you're never going to do SLI, it's sort of pointless. Going with a higher quality one such as the XFX 450 that's less expensive after mail in rebate would be a slightly better choice: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=63238&promoid=1371
Caviar Black is also not really worth the premium. It's just slightly faster than other 7200 RPM HDDs and carry a five year warranty as opposed to a standard three year. A Caviar Blue 1TB can be had for $49 right now with promo code COLLEGETOUR11 on Newegg.ca .
Antec Nine Hundred is a terrible case but if you like the aesthetics of it than meh.
You're also missing a DVD Burner: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=45667&promoid=1371
I don't have time to come up with a configuration for you right now but I'll do so when I get back if a better one hasn't been suggested already.

Every power supply should have a 4pin ATX connector or a 4+4pin ATX / EPS connector.
