Most of it looks good. However, I think the zealots look kind of silly, mostly the running/fighting animation. Mothership seems weak and extremely slow, but its vortex ability looks useful. Cannons look kinda lame, especially since they removed their moving ability.
I really hope they remove that damn engine sound from the hellions as well. Damn annoying hearing them driving around.
1000 at least.

Yeah, Dustin is going on about the spectators ability to tell whats going on more in SC2, but it's kinda hard to tell who specifically the cannons are attacking because you keep missing their firing point without the movement animation while everythign else is going

Those were corrupters but i dunno what makes it seem like they were one-shotting since that was a big ass bunch of them.
But they are supposed to be very strong anti-air - but I did wonder why the void rays didnt turn into stationary defense?

hum, they turned in stationary turrets... No really a turret, but a small goo that shoots.
Have you seen the video on HD? See when corrupters kill the void rays again.

Three things caught my attention more then everything else:
1. What the bloody hell was that mothership whirlpool???
2. The attack animation of the zealot looks decent now. Running is still bad imo.
3. Forget about zealot movement, ultralisk movement is the worst I have seen in the game so far. In BW when you saw the ultralisk running towards your marines you thought "that thing will soon be smashing them" while now it looks like it's never gonna reach its target. It barely moves its legs and i think it will look even funnier when speed is researched. A giant behemoth with tiny legs. T_T

Actually, Its quite possible that speed upgraded ultralisks (if they have a speed upgrade) would have bigger legs (like zerglings get the wings)

Did anyone notice that those corruptors (?) - the units killing prottos air force, also do 2 kinds of attack - one like small green spits, and another a bunch of green stuff being shot at an enemy ship at once..

anyone know anything about that?

When a corruptor kills a unit, it spawns a little turret that floats in the air. The corruptors are firing the little dark green pellets, the big bright green swooshes are the turrets. It is nice to see that they completely face stomped those void rays but I still think it is no replacement for scourge.

However, am I the only one that is bothered by the command center lifting off? It just bounces into the air, like it has a spring under it. I keep expecting a "boing" sound effect.

Also the ultralisks swinging around at 120 rpms. Maybe they should turn down their rotation speed to about a third and then widen their attack arc so that they don't need to directly face whatever they are attacking.

-Ultralisk movement is a bit spastic
-If you look closely one of the immortals has a movement bug (around 5:00 in the first vid)
-I like the burning death animations from dying in flame.
-The sound of buildings cloaking and uncloaking could get annoying
-I love how banelings roll again (they didn't in br2 and br3)
-Corruptor ability is a gimmick
-Mutalisk animation looks cool, it will be a shame when they are all clumped together though
-Warp gates are a bit visually distracting, maybe the blackhole could only appear when units are warping units in
-Antigravity is a bit too distracting
-Spine crawler attack is less ambiguous now, better for the audience
-Broodlord looks really pathetic when it flaps
-Immortal attack animation looks cool

Overall the game looks great

One little nitpick I found was that at the start, when the zerg was attacking the toss base, it was kinda hard to distinguish all of the zerg units, being that they are so dark.

Edit: watched in HD and you can see the units easily, although this may be a problem for future vods of games if they are not in HD.

yeah same here

I know in HD everything looks crystal clear but chances are we'll be watching games on youtube anyways.

yeah same here

I know in HD everything looks crystal clear but chances are we'll be watching games on youtube anyways.


I'm hoping we will be watching most vods as actual replays in-game with real time rendering. 10000% better than a vod. (As long as they decide to add sound recording) (Also.. will probably require blizzard to allow replays to be 'locked' in some way to only allow playback from the observers chosen view with no stats shown or pro's will not allow their replays to be shown because their build orders etc will be too well analyzed by people).
