This may be an unpopular opinion, but I like standard maps. The game is hard enough without maps like post youth making things more complicated. | ||

see how back then Secret Spring, Nimbus and Honorgrounds handle the things. And it's another pity that these days, many games start with blocking the second chockpoint rather than the one for natural. Now maps are too defensive like unkillable. | ||

The patch was a bad cabal patch, but what is positive is the new maps and the suggested balance changes from the map community. | ||

The news maps are all pretty rubblish, I’m assuming it might be different as a viewer when I see it play out during big tournaments But as a player, none of the new maps feels fun to play. Too many awkward design | ||

But i think they overdid it. Also i believe most if not all are very Terran Favoured. Amphion is the only one decent. Crimson Court, the rocks are just wayy too durable, basically favouring terran and chokepoints (say good buy to zergling runbys basically or flanking)... If it wasnt for the rich gas it would be downright unplayable for Zerg. (Now im thinking if the good play on this map is going mutas ....) Dynasty is a bit more decent but the backdrop gold, makes it so you need to play around that feature, i dont like that the map takes the whole mechanic of the game. Post Youth is absolute trash for Protoss, and while the gold is good for zerg, the map architecture is just horrlble full of chokepoints. Again, terran favoured. Ghost River, with the entrance to natural is actually the worst offender, instant veto after i played it once. (tanks there is just horrible) I have vetoed Post Youth and Ghost River. Totally unplayable. And i havent vetoed a third because i still need to play more Crimson/Dynasty to see which one is worst. Btw, why are the map makers such Terran fanboys ? | ||

As a Terran player I have to let you know how it is. There are 3 kinds of maps. First we have the Zerg favoured maps... then we have the Protoss favoured maps. The third type of map are the balanced maps. | ||
