Two notes I have not seen mentioned:

Shield batteries restore ultimate evolution carapace shields.

The Pressurized Glands upgrade affects the locusts that may spawn randomly when an enemy unit dies, so it may be beneficial to take the upgrade even when not using swarm hosts.

The toxic nests have been nerfed/"fixed", so placement guide may need to be updated.
4v4 is a battle of who has the better computer.

Interested in general tips on Miner's Evac, due to early biomass starvation. I may not be building enough early army for the first ship, but a handful of roaches doesn't seem that amazing as a solution. Nor does a few 0 biomass Mutas. Guessing prioritize the +8 vs light? Delay Lair? Feel like I'm at the mercy of a teammate to mostly carry the first ship. Most maps ramp up much slower and mines can mostly deal with the early wave, giving time to get established.

The evo + viper replay uses the patched nest thing. Aggressive lure into nests for enough biomass? Seems it's tricky to defend ships without the first evo. Don't have the APM to consistently manually detonate mines, though placing them under a clump already in combat works some of the time.

Also curious about the ships in general on that map. Feel like I've had a ship get randomly destroyed without seeing it try to take off or be targeted beforehand, or is there always a green marker beforehand/incoming attack symbol and I've just missed it? Maybe we've tried launching a ship out of sequence or something? The map confuses me more than it should.

Did you check out the map tips? There is advice there, though a lot of it is now outdated due to the Toxic Nest nerf. Still, some of it should still be relevant, though you might need to rely on other things than just early Brutalisk! It does mention potentially needing 4+ Spines + Mend. I've tried a few Spines, but will try shifting early focus towards them a bit more. Well, I get the random nature of the map. It's more that there have been a few times where I had trouble realizing that a ship was under attack/doing a panic launch while already defending a different ship. A friend and I lost a mission with less than ten seconds on the last ship launch because neither of us realized that a different ship was under attack. Quite possible that it's marked and I/we just didn't have the map awareness due to attention being occupied elsewhere. Next time I'll have to remember to review the replay for any warning signs that could've served as an alert.

I'd be interested in hearing what people think of the newly reworked masteries. I'm not sure myself.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Just started playing co-op a bunch more and Abathur is super great - mass ravager seems really strong and i prefer it over mass air. cheap comp, easy remax capability, massive aoe damage if you spam upgraded biles. particularly strong against mass-air comp like mass void/carrier or libs.

thansk for this guide though really helpful in learning more about him. going to try focusing more on mass air to get better
I used to play random, but for you I play very specifically.

It was not easy in the beginning but Abathur became my favorite co-op. Favorite voice acting and all units and army combinations are so fun to play with.

No specific concrete plans just yet, but we would like to update the old guides if possible!

In the meantime, keep an eye out for the Zeratul guide.
