Yeah. Personally, I never understood why streaming wasnt more popular amongst the best players. I mean, obviously wouldnt make sense for them to stream their super secret build they are going to use in X-final but just standard play.
It's not just builds as to why streaming can hurt play. It distracts the player and there is valuable information you can gather even if they play standard. "Ah now I see how this player handles xx build or xx pressure". There's a lot of small things that you can give away.
I don't think it matters when a lot of players kept having obvious weaknesses in regular games.
The one that comes to mind is Classic's nexus first on Frost. He did that all season and for some reason was surprised when TY did the allin.

It's not that simple. He probably defended every allin / cheeses with that build in practice and thought it was therefore safe to do it.

That's actually not that bad. You have to remember that it's basically just korea and not really an international audience. Compare that to NaDa for example right now, he also only gets like 350 viewers atm. If you compare it to Bisu/Flash it's obviousy not that much, but these are the top dogs.

It will be pretty difficult to do outside of Korea or as a foreigner right now. The easiest way would be to get a prepaid card in Korea and use that to purchase Star Balloons.

I think its obviously beneficial to have as little information on how you play available. You can't avoid having your televised matches out there but you can prevent hours and hours of first person footage getting out by not streaming.
